RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

Right, so we go from everything to being on fire, to slightly less on fire, and now the fire is on fire.

I'd ask how this could get any worse, but the grimm are already deciding the white fang is free game if hadn't already off screen, and we haven't seen the dragon focus on anything quite yet, though it's not hard to guess where it's probably going.

So I was watching the episode again and is it just be or did Blake's shadowclone seem more.....substancial than usual?
Not just you, I came over to SV to bring this up actually.

So something that I've seen on TvTropes. They seem to think that Blake's shadow clones are more advanced now and that her Semblance has extended to creating illusions of other people as well due to her desire to protect Yang... Not sure if they're right or not but wasn't there some interview or something where they talked about how Blake's Semblance would evolve and that the way she used it on the train was a hint at the direction it would take?

Edit:

Now, lets try and see what positives the episode's brought:
-More fuel for the Bumblebee ship, may it never be sunk
-Pyrrha's not going to get 2 souls jammed into her anytime soon
-...Yang can get a rocket fist? Awesome, but does it make up for losing a hand in the first place?

Yeah, this is a short list...

Don't forget:
-We saw what was in Velvet's box
-Weiss took a step forward in manifesting her Semblance
-Ironwood isn't dead and is more badass than we thought
-Ruby got to be the Big Damn Hero alongside Velvet, even if some people object to her going off to be a shounen hero rather than a team leader (They all would have died if she hadn't, though i assumed the narrative theme was making Ruby a leader and what it means to do that)

-Weiss made a breakthrough on her summoning
-We finally got to see Velvet's weapon
-Ironwood isn't dead
-The robots are out of the fight

Edit:

Roman is exceptionally good at utilizing things that fly. What was he eaten by? A Griphon. Which is something that can fly.

I'll just say, if Roman survives and Penny Dies. I'll be fucking pissed.

Then again Roman was always supposed to be a starter villain so giving him a dramatic sendoff like this is still a pretty awesome gesture to the fans.

So I just found this Tumblr post responding to some posts discussing Adam's behaviour, I think it makes a lot of sense all things considered, though I Imagen some people won't like the posters take on it.
Discussion on abusive relationships:
Abuse survivor speaking up before this gets out of hand:

As much as I would like to agree with what the post is trying to say, the way Adam is being portrayed is nearly 100% accurate.

Abusers do not usually become violent until they don't get what they want. It won't even be a violent that is out bursting but each time it will become gradual unless something big changes e.i Blake leaving him. Most abusers become outright violent, and murderous when their victim runs for freedom.

Blake can still refer to them as a good friend, mentor, and generally good person because from the eyes of the victim that's exactly what they are.Good memories can still happen within an abusive relationship. You never see the monster beneath until you are already too deep in love, or caring for the person. You make excuses for them, and rationalize what they are doing is right until you know you have to leave, and get away.

It's the most accurate portrayal of abuse I have ever seen.
