RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

[Discussion] Chibi Season 2, Episode 6: Super Besties
RWBY Chibi:

Episode 6:
OK wow I have never seen a more sinister chibi, also that joke with Blake was amazingly well delivered and Noe stole Roman's hat!

Roman is extra level petty in terms of villainy XD

Blake is super stressed & jazzed... Her ears are out! Huzzah! Aw poor Blake... Zwei with a pipe is adorable.

Lest there's confusion, the comments under the spoiler refer to Episode 6: Super Besties[/ur] (currently requires RT FIRST membership to view), not Episode 5.

So is this the new standard going forward? With us having to pay for week one access? Like, I should just be happy I got four seasons free but this feels kind of annoying.

Wasn't this the case with Season 4 as well?
Rooster Teeth has been doing this for practically forever in which that subscribers to there site get first crack at all there new content then about a week later it goes to Youtube with a few exceptions such as all of WoR that Qrow narrates in season 4

That's the thing, when did they switch from have account to have account and subscription.

Like I know it's petty of me, but it still bothers me that it switched.

In announcing that RWBY Chibi S2 would switch to a one week delay for non-FIRST members, it was strongly suggested that Volume 5 would stick with a one day delay:
Article:
Today we announced the RWBY Chibi season 2 premiere date (May 13!), and that the series will be FIRST exclusive for 7 days before it becomes free-to-watch on RoosterTeeth.com and YouTube. For those who saw my previous post, this likely comes as no surprise. Chibi has stand-alone episodes, like Million Dollars But…, Sex Swing, and RTAA do, so there's less concern about spoilers and breaking up a conversation in the community. I was also fascinated to see people respond to my last post saying that they now use the YouTube notifications system to tell them when there's a new episode available on FIRST. Notifications are possible within our iOS and Android apps, but we've not developed the workflow to use them quite yet; you'll likely start to see us play with those by the end of this year.

To address the elephant in the room, our windowing on RWBY Chibi in no way reflects any decisions on how we'll window RWBY Volume 5. Check out my last post for more details as to why, but to sum it up: RWBY has a serialized narrative that drives conversation within our community, and although the vast majority of people who watch RWBY on our website are already logged-in FIRST members, that show does receive marginally more free-to-watch traffic than others. We're still collecting data that will help make a decision about this, and we'll keep you updated once we have a better idea of what the Fall will hold for us.

[Discussion] Chibi Season 2, Episode 7: Must Be Nice
New Chibi came out:
That was incredible, there was not one joke in this episodes I did not love, everything from Ruby's zany schemes & Oobleck's chill responses, to Pyrrha squeaking like a broken marionette after having to sit through Jaune's one liners and team evils classroom nonsense (Emerald as the voice of reason & Neo as... Neo) are all fantastic, loved this!

Also last weeks episode is out.

Coming soon: Achievement Hunter redubs the first episode of RWBY.

This is from the FIRST monthly newsletter email.

Why is Yang wearing a pair of Socker Boppers?
It looks like they're all wielding inflatable beach toy versions of their main weapons.
