RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

So...crotch shots work on Grimm...good to know.

Also, is it just me, or is the background quality for the Stinger at the end of superior quality to the rest of the episode? Think the next Season could all look like that?

-Finishes watching episode-
-Reattaches jaw-

Holy hell that was awesome!
Looks like Cinder's bug in the CCT was to disable communications to outside of Vale
Jaune can be fairly decisive when it comes to it and it seems that village was important to Ren.
Team RWBY and JNPR in action.:)
Ironwood unleashes his BX-droid army (because those things are too badass to be B1s)
TEAM CFVY!
-Yatsuhashi apparently is an AoE melee specialist (how far did those Grimm fly?).
-Fox seems to have blank white eyes and can hit Grimm so hard they explode like a frag grenade.
-Coco seems to be made of pure sass and is a true ballbuster (that Beowolf was definitely crying in pain). Also she apparently stole Heavy's Sasha before gold plating it and stuffing the thing in her purse.
-And to repeat another poster: WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!?
And for the finale Glinda just swats the Grimm aside without even seeming to notice them before marching up and plugging the hole.

Council is appointing Ironwood as security and having doubts in Ozpin. I get the sinking feeling that this along with holding Torchwick is just what Cinder and co want. Also Adam, a vehement anti-human who seems to be in a leadership position of the White Fang willingly working with them? Not good, not good at all.

Finally samurai lady is definitely a relative to our favorite bouncy boisterous blond bruiser.
"Yang, we have a lot to talk about."
And you end it there. Monty, you epic tier troll.

Is it just me, or has the animation for the fight scenes dropped in quality? It's better than those Tales style scenes, but it still feels worse than fights earlier in the season.

EDIT: On the other hand, CFVY's fights were pretty good. It's the others that I have issue with.

Yeah, I noticed that too, even compared to the last episode, some of the shots during the fight are kinda lacking, nothing major but it's enough for me to notice. I guess they were running a little thin on the budget for this last episode, oh well, I can deal with that.

But aside from that, I generally like how they ended the season, I guessed that things would be left hanging so I'm not as disappointed as others may be, and hey things happened that I didn't see coming so that's good.

Now I wonder when the Stinger is taking place, is it directly after the events of the finale or are we the audience being given a glimpse of a future scene?

Hey guys remember Cinder's statement in ep5 of 'It's not about overpowering an enemy. It's about taking away what power they have.'?

This situation that she has engineered (even if it went off early) seems to be doing it to Ozpin. Ironwood who clashes with him on tactics etc is now in charge of security for the festival and the city council has grown skeptical about his capabilities as Headmaster.

Ozpin seemed to channel a bit of Nick Fury on the council: "I know the council has made a decision, but since it's a stupid ass decision, I have elected to ignore it."

Well its nice to know I wasn't the only one thinking of Heavy when Coco whipped out the gold plated gatling. I didn't even think Grimm had any equipment down there to kick.

I swear I thought Pyrrha had something to do with Jaune moving his sword that fast before we saw that relieved look on her face.

Team CFVY has demonstrated the minimum level of badassery required to be a second year (or senior) at Beacon Academy. RWBY and JNPR have some work to do.
Considering their physical similarities I'm starting to think Yang was spawned through parthenogenesis.
I don't know. The face and hair design are the same but Raven seems less 'robust' then Yang though that could simply be the clothing.

Raven seems a little young to be Yang's mom. Granted, she could be older than she looks, but I'm not sure if she's her mom just yet. She could be her twin for all we know.

Or HER FROM THE FUTURE. (This is a running theme)

Although considering all the hubbub about Cinder posing as a student and handsom Ozpin probably being like three hundred I've given up trying to guess age ranges characters might fall into. Bartholomew Ooobleck is probably like nineteen or someshit.

I loved how despite having all these sweet bladed weapons and weapons of death (Minigun that instakilled a freaking NEVERMORE), team CVFY preferred to punch and kick their enemies to death.
