RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

So, to clarify, were those snow colored Grimm variants native to Atlus, or are they Winter's summons?

I am getting seriously confused by how many people are asking this question, often without even the second part.

Yes the blue glowing Grimm are summons. No natural Grimm have any sort of blue color, they're all some variant of black, white, yellow and/or red. Not to mention that the fact that Winter could dismiss all the Grimm with a thought is itself the biggest clue one could possibly get short of her outright stating that they're her summons.

Saw this commented on a few places so I decided to share it for the lulz:

The opening shot of the Trailer is literally a White Rose and a Iceflower. :D

Related to the BlazBlue Xover Fighting Game that has RWBY

Mori(BB Director) and Daisuke(GG Director and Composer for both GG and BB) visiting RT to discuss future development. Personally looking forward to see if Daisuke's gonna do anything with the RWBY music stuff, and if he is, what comes out.
Actually I have heard from a reliable source that Yang's trailer will prominently feature a bumblebee.

:p:p:p:p

Very funny. No, really, that was a good one.
I don't get it

Rewatching the latest RWBY Chibi episode reminded me of an old SB post of mine:

Meanwhile for Volume 5 one thing I really hope to see is Qrow taking advantage of his Semblance to absolutely wreck people in dice games and other forms of gambling. Mistral is the home of the biggest criminal underworld on Remnant after all. It could even be a way to gather info so it would actually be relevant to the plot. After all his Semblance doesn't affect himself so he doesn't really need good luck to win, as long as the opponents luck is worse.

While it would probably be simpler to just do a game of dice or cards (as long as they're not cheating they should get bad cards at least) I think something like a cricket fight or some other animal battle/cockfight could be even more interesting since it would be less obvious that he's cheating in those. Maybe something he could do to divert suspicion.

Damn it now I want something like this to happen even more. Come on Qrow, work that Semblance!

Speaking of re-watching stuff though I looked at the Weiss Character Short again and, is it just me or have they mostly/completely managed to fix the floatyness of Volume 4's fight scenes?

[Discussion] Chibi Season 2, Episode 11: Movie Night
New RWBY Chibi came out:
Little eh on the Pyrrha gag but the crash was funny, poor Neptune almost overwhelmed by the explosion but hey he was woven into the scene very well, oh no Velvet, so sweet but so defied! Neo was absolutely grand, such style, such flair, and she does indeed wear it better! That Batman joke was amazing and I'd almost say they don't know how to movie knight, but they clearly like it this way, good for them XD

Also Ruby's scene was adorable!
