RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

Considering she only married Stan as part of a scam or something in Vegas, probably Raine.
Actually, that's only a fan theory and one for crossover potential.

However, considering that Eda's estimated to be 45 years old (Dana confirmed that she's in her mid-forties) by the new 20s and Stan's in his mid-to-late 60s in the new 10s, them having been in a relationship is...iffy, given the twenty to thirty year age gap.

But more on RWBY itself, I do like that Arrowfell gives us the map of Solitas:

Seems like a pretty useful tool for fanfic writers when it comes to the Atlas arc.

BRIR (ft. Peter Reid Jones) | RWBY: Arrowfell
Get out of the way
You're not even worth the time of day
So how 'bout you stop wasting yours and mine?

You snuck by the vine
We're gonna leave you scarred
You will not get that thorn
Your rose dies here with no clue
Prepare to meet your doom

It's your cue
To get up and go home
You've got no clue
Who you're dealing with
So screw you
Get off our lawn
You'll never pull through

Your journeys end
Knights like four blind mice
Take our advice
And do what we say

Get out of the way
You're not even worth the time of day
So how 'bout you stop wasting yours and mine?

You snuck by the vine
We're gonna leave you scarred
You will not get that thorn
Your rose dies here with no clue
Prepare to meet your doom

How Far You've Come (ft. Caleb Hyles) | RWBY: Arrowfell
We didn't come this far to just stand by
I can't just watch as fear keeps going on
I'll sink a title
Be the one who puts up with this
Like a crowd who's freezing
Didn't hold back anymore

No one else
Can do this for you
It's you who needs
To take this head on
If you can't find the strength to move on
Look back at how far you've come
Just look back at how far you've come

We didn't come this far to just stand by
I can't keep watching this go on
Can't keep watching this go on right now

No one else
Can do this for you
It's you who needs
To take this head on
If you can't find the strength to move on
Just look back at how far we've come (x4)

Live For This (ft. Peter Reid Jones) | RWBY: Arrowfell
Our dreams are becomming a reality
An impossible thing we've wanted all our lives
No time to shrink away from the responsibility

Can't give up now
Here's our vow
We're gonna go all the way
Oh it feels so good to be alive!

Now the pressure's kickin' in full force
I'd be lying if I didn't say I was scared
I am

Just don't forget we wanna be here
If we're feeling ever down
Then turn it back
Stay on track
Grab it and go
We're not left hanging on this
Stay the course

I could do anything right now
I could fly anywhere
It's gonna be so much fun
Sun ain't turnin' back

I live for this
Said I live for this
I live for this right now!

Oncoming Storm (ft. Dale North) | RWBY: Arrowfell
There's a storm rolling in
You better take cover
You can just tell by the sky that it's gonna be bad

How could you not see it coming 'til now?
Time you gave a-
Give a damn about anyone else
But yourself

Don't be quite so hypocritical
It's 'cause you showed me
Don't go and wonder
How you ever thought you'd give up
That leaves something to fight over for us

Storm is coming
I'll be rising up
To show you
I'll be rising up
To show you

The storm is here now (x3)

I think I mentioned that first post last week. The additional part by Kdin today is unsurprising, sadly. Glad I'd already cancelled my FIRST sub (And grabbed a mug from Kdins Vtuber merch page)

Fucking dammit RT. Is this their way of getting back at that CRWBY guy who said they wouldn't complain about any piracy, or are they really just that incompetent?
I mean, they might also just not care enough about the non-management employees enough to bother getting things done in time. "Didn't manage to get it done in time" is a good way of covering that theoretically makes it unclear if it was lost in the shuffle, forgotten about, or just intentionally ignored. And given how pervasive a problem this has been with RT, well...

Regardless of industry, management tends to take the easy way of dealing with problems. Namely, make the people complaining about the problem go away, rather than fix it. And at this point, that is definitely how RT works.
