RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

"Jaune played baseball as a kid. Like, he was on a little league team."

... I know it's a headcanon, but even now my brain clicks back over to 'Canon. Has to be.'

Most of those track, except the first one. Ruby "I drink milk" Rose. Also, Chibi has the Rose-Xiao Long home remedy of warm milk. And Ruby drinks her coffee with "blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar." So in canon and supplementary material, people are letting Ruby consume as much dairy as she wants. That one really just sounds like someone projecting a trait without really giving it the proper amount of thought.

Random head cannon idea

Out of the four of team jnpr, Jaune is the only one who has a regular shaving routine, (full body too).

Why?, Well, if you live with seven sisters, you're bound to pick up a few things.

And grabbed the game on the switch. It's very pretty, love the backdrops. Shame that Yangs 'Semblance' in game mechanics terms is just a super heavy attack, while the others actually use their Semblance proper, but I can see why.

EDIT: Ran into Penny. She has the important line voice acted. "Salutations!"

First major Arrowfell review from Hardcore Gamer, they gave it a 6/10. Major criticisms are the lack of a satisfying gameplay loop and the combat being exceptionally shallow.

RWBY: Arrowfell is not a title we would necessarily call wholly bad, but it feels lacking especially when considering that the teams behind it have such a great track record for platformers and fighting titles. It's hard to tell where things ended up to make it feel so "bleh." The repetitive nature quickly becomes apparent, the lack of innovation in combat keeping anything from feeling fresh after the first few stages and it just feels like a series so focused around combat would deliver a more fleshed-out experience. RWBY: Arrowfell is a title that will only appeal to fans of the franchise, but even then it won't offer a stunning gameplay experience or make it worth picking up for the story. At the very least it's nice to see new interactions between characters, but it's just a shame the gameplay loop just couldn't pull through.

That seems like a real stupid thing to do considering what's recently happened. It's also really dickish but that goes almost without saying.
I'm not super surprised, though. They're a kinda scummy company, and one of their main audiences are gamers, who are notoriously bad at boycotts. I don't know that RT has ever taken a real hit over any of their bad practices before, and while I'd hope they maybe start now... well, I haven't seen anything about paying Kdin all the money they owed her already, so I'm not surprised they'd stiff her again, given that they seem to run on "employees don't get extra pay/credit for doing VA work that isn't part of their duties".

I mean admittedly if you were to boycott a video game based on the ethics of the company who made it, the number of modern games you could play could counted on one hand. All companies are bastards.

I boycott several gaming companies at this point, who are all several levels of scum above even everything we've heard about RT to this point.
