RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

Yep. The girl who saved Beacon and the entire Kingdom of Vale from destruction by stopping Cinder and the Grimm Dragon, helped save Haven Academy from Salem's minions and the White Fang, petrified a Leviathan to protect the city of Argus, warned the world about Salem so that they wouldn't be blindsided by the fall of Atlas, helped save nearly the entire population of both Atlas and Mantle from certain doom, visited the realm of gods/spirits and presumably returns with some secret knowledge about the inner workings of the universe and oh yeah, can laserbeam Grimm with her eyeballs is no one special and will be treated with the same level of respect as a random hobo.
Except Beacon and Vale are practically Fubar'd to the point where Salem still has men on Beacon grounds ("Reinforce the numbers..."), Haven is technically out of commission with everyone leaving to Vacuo, and the Leviathan was something that she, inadvertently, caused herself given she started the conflict with Cordovin in the first place (and wasn't even the one who killed the Leviathan).

Also, we don't even know what the Old Beach even is yet, just assumptions that 1) it's a spiritual place and 2) they'll actually get shit from it.

Those "men" Salem have are Grimm. -.- Not some secret humans/faunus in hiding.
As for the Leviathan Ruby understood her part in that mess and went to fix it, and while he eyes did not fully seal or destroy it her actions not only stalled the damn thing it got Cordovin to readjust herself and actually do her job "protect the people" instead of trying to squish a couple kids that ultimately were not the enemy or a threat to Argus.
As for the Island it is going to be important for various reasons, even if it is not God Island or Faunus Island it has the hallmarks of a narrative and thematically important place.

Manta airships patrol the skies around the City of Atlas, keeping in communication with each other over radio. As Maria Calavera pilots the group's stolen Manta toward the city, they receive radio contact. Atlas Air Traffic Female: Manta 5-1. Welcome home. Please continue your approach to Atlas...

Pietro: You're Team RWBY!

The Team RWBY girls look at each other in confusion.

Ruby: You know us?!

This would be the show pretty much making it clear they didn't get credit for any of it. You know if Qrow's letter pretty much ch saying they weren't mentioned in the official version of what happened at Haven wasn't enough of a hint.

So no Ruby's surprise tv appearance is probably the first anyone has ever hear of her.

I'll be honest
Going into that Bees VS Bull fight I thought they were going to hammer in the Beauty and The Beast thing and have Adam cause his own fall. Like, he starts to go over the edge and Yang manages to catch him with the robot arm. So Adam, dangling over those rocks and icey rapids below with this human and her mechanical arm being the only things keeping him from certain death. Adam can not understand, can not fathom, a human trying to save his life. So in one last surge of prideful rage he tries to strike her, but the attack causes Yang to lose her grip on him (either he finally manages to cut through it and leave Yang with only a portion of the mechanical arm, or the quick release from Volume 5 makes a come back) and Adam plummets to his death.
Or at least something like this.

But ya I like what we ended up getting instead.
Now if only people wouldn't think he could come back. -.- (looking at you, Hound).

He kinda did in the sense that he could have just, like, stopped, at literally any point, and they'd have just let him go because they didn't actually want to kill him.

But aren't Hounds supposed to be Silver-Eyed warriors? I mean, there must be a reason why the Hound we saw was a SEW instead of some random prisoner Salem captured.
Possibly so that they become immune to SEW's themselves? I mean SEW pretty much auto nuke a good chunk of Salems forces so having something that is immune or can at least tank it is a pretty good option.

For me I think the SEW are used due to their power against Grimm. Since that might provide enough resistance from Ramification that their mental facilities are working better than those without Silver Eyes.

I recall people thinking they saw Adam when the wounded Hound climbed back up through the window
despite the head not having blood red hair with black horns.
