RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

As perfect a ship name Sundae is, I'm fairly certain people use Baked Alaska or Banana Split way more for Yang and Neo. :D

I would know, it is my trash ship for this show (since episode 4). :p

Actually, since CFVE is so badass, what the hell was the mission they came back from?
The type where the grim are in enough numbers to blot out the sun in all likelihood.

Also it's only after a rewatch and the image someone posted that I realized just how tiny Velvet is compared to Yatsuhashi. Yes, there is the height chart floating around but it's another to see them side by side in the show.

Though considering the scene I'd be surprised if the shippers aren't tossing around all new names for the two.

Whether they be parents or older siblings, their names better mean polar bear and grizzly bear, to keep with the theme of Junior's name.

I was really expecting the ship name for FootTwin+Mercury to be 'footsies'. I'm really not sure why but that one was always in my head.

it's hardly a surprise, all things considered
Speaking of which, somebody needs to make a comic etc of what Yatsuhashi/the rest of team CFVY did to Cardin off screen. After all from all indications the guy hasn't bullied Velvet again after that one scene (which could explain why he focused on Jaune so much).

He needed some ego reinflating after whatever it was they did to him.

I can't find the source atm.

I was rooting for Raven Branwen cause she caught mein heart when she appeared.
I was more or less expecting her and Cinder since I like Cinder.

Hoping for some CinderxGlynda.

Also love the way how Neo kept smirking at Yang before grinning like mad when she was about to stab her.
