RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

I need to learn the art of piracy. Because my first source does not have the second episode yet

Just don't discuss finding it or share the links here. The site frowns on that sort of thing I believe, and while I'm certainly not going to judge anyone for not giving money to RT or Crunchyroll at this point, best not to draw a divine smiting upon yourself.

I both do and don't want Little to stick around post Volume 9 because I feel like their legit kind of alien perspective would make things interesting but like what would they do?

Honestly that is often a struggle for mascot characters, not saying Little is a mascot in the strict sense of the world, but its an issue that characters like Luna & Artemis from Sailor Moon face. IE once they have given out the magic and done basic teaching they have little left to do in the plot beyond just kind of be there.

This is an issue that can be overcome but its tricky.

Aside, I saw some theories that if Little went to Remnant (Or before going to Remnant for reasons) they'd be transformed into a mouse Faunus :3

Also Yang feels out of her depths XD

You know, while it's being played for comedy right now, I am legit worried about the fact

That Weiss is losing her shit over being in a fairy tale. Things aren't making sense to her, and this is after we see that Atlas, Mantle and Penny left a massive hole in her heart, AND Ruby is falling apart. We have a Weiss breakdown coming too I think.

I wouldn't be surprised honestly
I know there are some folks over on tumblr and what not that question why Weiss would be upset about the loss of Atlas when she has "her family" (RWBY) right there with her, but even if Weiss does not have many good memories of her home kingdom (especially over the last 7 or so years) but it was still technically home. Born and raised Atlesian. It was where her Grandfather made the family name mean something, it was where the SDC was headquarter and that was still a part of her personal goal outside of the world ending threats. They fought for months and especially in the last few days to try and protect it, and now it is gone and she doesn't even know if it was all worth it because she doesn't know what happened after Cinder blasted her off the bridge. All she knows is that her physical home is gone and a dear friend is dead. Heck, part of her thought the same thing Yang did, that she thought she was dead.
Logic and reason are her comfort tools, and this baffling world is tossing that out the window, too, and thus not leaving her much in ways to cope and process.
