RWBY Thread III: Time To Say Goodbye

Stop: So gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
so gotta few things that need to be said real quick.
We get a lot of reports from this thread. A lot of it is just a series of people yelling at each other over arguments that have been rehashed hundreds of times since the end of the recent Volume. And I get that the last Volume - and RWBY in general, really - has some controversial moments that people will want to discuss, argue about, debate, etc.

That's fine. We're not going to stop people from doing that, because that's literally what the point of the thread is. However, there's just a point where it gets to be a bit too much, and arguments about whether or not Ironwood was morally justified in his actions in the recent Volume, or if RWBY and her team were in the right for withholding information from Ironwood out of distrust, or whatever flavor of argument of the day descend into insulting other posters, expressing a demeaning attitude towards other's opinions, and just being overall unpleasant. That tends to happen a lot in this thread. We want it to stop happening in this thread.

So! As of now the thread is in a higher state of moderation. What that means is that any future infractions will result in a weeklong boot from the thread, and repeated offenders will likely be permanently removed. So please, everyone endeavor to actually respect the other's arguments, and even if you strongly disagree with them please stay civil and mindful when it comes to responding to others.

In addition, users should refrain from talking about off-site users in the thread. Bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot continue to post tumblr posts, for example, that add onto the discussion in the thread, with the caveat that it's related to RWBY of course. But any objections to offsite users in the thread should be handled via PM, or they'll be treated as thread violations and infracted as such.

Okay so I got the english verison of the site and uh, okay it's just basic bios for the characters circa start of Volume 2/3. But Weiss distinctly looks like, there's something odd about her look, she does not look happy at all in any of the images

Okay Weiss and Blake's outfit makes me suspect the plot is about them waking in some sort of parallel universe. Like it starts in Beacon but then somehow they get dragged into a whole different reality. Because uh while Jaune's basically just wearing a hat, Weiss has a different attitude, and Blake and to a lesser extent Pyrrha seem different as well.

Like Ruby: Dressed for Winter, and acquired a snowboard
Yang: Dressed differently.
Ren: Dressed for Winter
Nora: Dressed for Winter
Jaune: Dressed for Winter
Blake: Somehow has a tail.
Weiss: Doing her best impression of an Akame Ga Kill villain will looking evil as heck
Pyrrha: Entirely different outfit. Like not just "Normal outfit plus Winter stuff" like the rest of her team did. Heck her clothes don't even seem fit for Winter.

so Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Pyrrha have different poses
Team RNJR all have winter gear
Jaune continues to be a simple noodle
General Weiss has shades tucked in her outfit

I think this might be a screenshot

If it is I think it looks good. The summary crunchyroll provides makes me wish I knew more already

The fan-favorite 3D-animation series RWBY heads to the 2D anime world this summer with RWBY: Ice Queendom, a new story in the franchise that sees Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long go far past the grounds of their school, Beacon Academy.
Like it could be RWBY and JNPR travel to some strange land but then you look at Pyrrha, Weiss and Blake and uh, I get the feeling they mean more than just distance.

Besides Blake's outfit being a bit...much and having absolutely no idea what the plot will be. I do think this overall looks pretty good so far, though Japan being basically incapable of acknowledging anything past volume 3 existing does amuse me.

the only thing I am actually looking forward to is the music and the AMVs that will be made with said music.
english dub covers will be hit and miss >.>

You know for all the worries about Fan Service, Blake is the only one with a remotely lewd outfit. Heck Yang looks less fancy then she normally did in the early volumes.

My mind is hyperfixated on how different Weiss, Pyrrha and Blake look. The rest just look like their normal selves plus winter attire but I feel like their is a lot more going on because of those three.

Edit: Also everyone save Pyrrha and Weiss has basically the same pose and expression for both outfits. Those two very much do not.

Friend of mine just suggested that Pyrrhas dress could look so much like Weiss's because it comes from a Mistrali or Atlas fashion lines. Huntress formal wear.
