Wait, does Hazō need Medical Ninjutsu to attempt a recreation of the pool with Runecraft or does he only need Medical Knowledge?

Basic research rolls have been added into Chapter 681, except some prep days that will of course take a while to figure out. Information describing what the new prep day results mean will be coming shortly.Day 1
Infuse TR130:
Hazō (Earthshaping): 50 - 6 (timeladder down) - 3 = 41
Hazō (Primordial Sealing): 23 + 22 (crossover bonus from DoB-boosted Sealing) + 12 (Disciple of the Beyond) + 3 = 60
Hazō completes the TR130! It lasts for 1 week and covers the same AoE as the TR125, but has a slightly improved time acceleration factor.
Infuse Icarus Rune:
Hazō (Earthshaping): 50 - 6 (timeladder down) - 3 = 41
Hazō (Primordial Sealing): 23 + 22 (crossover bonus from DoB-boosted Sealing) + 12 (Disciple of the Beyond) - 3 = 54
Hazō completes the Icarus Rune! [Mechanics TBD].
Prep Kamikaze Rune. Difficulty Result: [TBD]
Day 2
DoB rest.
Day 3
Prep Force Domes. Difficulty Result: Medium.
Prep TR150 Unchained. Difficulty Result: Hard. As a result, Hazōpilot decides to switch to a lower TR-rating of 140 (unchained) for future prep days and the infusion roll, figuring that it will split the difference between the relatively doable TR130 and the apparently-challenging 150.
Prep Iron Earth Rune. Difficulty Result: [TBD]
Day 4
Prep Force Domes.
Prep TR140 Unchained. Difficulty Result: Medium
Prep Kagome's Tears Rune. Difficulty Result: [TBD]
Day 5
Prep Force Domes.
Prep TR140 Unchained.
Prep Chakra Shredder Pulse Rune. Difficulty Result: [TBD]
Day 6
Prep Force Domes.
Prep TR140 Unchained.
Prep Let's Fuck With Sealmasters Rune. Difficulty Result: [TBD]
Day 7
Infuse Force Domes:
Hazō (Earthshaping): 50 + 8 (prep) - 6 (timeladder down) + 3 = 55
Hazō (Primordial Sealing): 23 + 22 (crossover bonus from DoB-boosted Sealing) + 12 (Disciple of the Beyond) + 8 (prep) + 12 = 77
Hazō makes major progress on Force Domes. He thinks he's a little under a fifth of the way done. He feels pretty good about this rune, though he's not sure how much of that is due to excellent luck in the research process.
Infuse TR140 Unchained:
Hazō (Earthshaping): 50 + 8 (prep) - 6 (timeladder down) - 3 = 49
Hazō (Primordial Sealing): 23 + 22 (crossover bonus from DoB-boosted Sealing) + 12 (Disciple of the Beyond) + 8 (prep) - 6 = 59
Hazō spends a FP to reroll!
Hazō (Primordial Sealing): 23 + 22 (crossover bonus from DoB-boosted Sealing) + 12 (Disciple of the Beyond) + 8 (prep) + 6 = 71
Hazō makes huge progress on TR140 Unchained. He thinks he's well over 50% of the way done. However, he's not sure how much value the rune will bring in terms of veterancy for higher acceleration factors, as he thinks he's already getting most of the benefit from his experience on TR103, 125, and 130.
Day 8
DoB rest.
1941 units of substrate remain. For reference, most runes researched so far required 1 or 5 units per infusion, and the latest set of Force Domes + TR140 Unchained both required 25 units per infusion. It's been almost 3 months IC with plenty of rune research any chance we could get a count of the remaining substrate so the players can estimate how quickly we're going through it?
Thank you for the reminder that the remote explosion is …well within…, meaning that we can have an artillery delivery system for explosions AND build veterancy for the delivery system on our actual payload, all without worrying about infusion failure.
IMO, how do you magically enact Medical effects on people without mednin? It would then follow that you'd need to know how to make a rune manipulate/produce Medical chakra... which means leveling mednin. Again, just IMO.Wait, does Hazō need Medical Ninjutsu to attempt a recreation of the pool with Runecraft or does he only need Medical Knowledge?

Maybe once our skill level is higher we'll gain the ability to distinguish between Hard projects (50 ≤ TN < 90) and Ultra Hard projects (TN >= 70), but at Hazou's current skill level that's still beyond him.Are we still able to get subjective difficulty estimates if we want them? Once we upskill that's going to be pretty essential to figuring out if anything "Hard" is viable.
Between all the seal/rune research that Hazō has been doing recently, with the completion of TR130 and the Icarus Rune, Hazō removes a stagnancy barrier for his Sealing domain.
Additionally, with this additional experience and the understanding of runecraft granted by the Disciple of the Beyond stunt, Hazō is now able to make objective difficulty estimates for rune projects, similarly to his ability to do so for seal projects. The difficulty ranges available to him are:
When he does a difficulty check now, he will receive one of these results, which will mean that the TN is within the appropriate range. Outlier results are unlikely, but possible.
- Trivial: TN < 30
- Easy: 10 ≤ TN < 50
- Medium: 30 ≤ TN < 70
- Hard: TN ≥ 50
Yes. Just look at the number on Hazo's sheet and subjectively decide how likely hitting a TN feels. Are we still able to get subjective difficulty estimates if we want them? Once we upskill that's going to be pretty essential to figuring out if anything "Hard" is viable.
Funnily enough, they all technically are higher difficulty level than Jiraiya, since he never cracked itThe difficulty ranges available to him are:
- Trivial: TN < 30
- Easy: 10 ≤ TN < 50
- Medium: 30 ≤ TN < 70
- Hard: TN ≥ 50
In fairness, he likely never had access to sufficient reference material onFunnily enough, they all technically are higher difficulty level than Jiraiya, since he never cracked it
Fairness? Where's the fun in that? :3
Minor error here, since Hazou only prepped for 3 days on the TR 140 the prep bonus should be 6. I doubt it'll change the cycle count at allHazō (Primordial Sealing): 23 + 22 (crossover bonus from DoB-boosted Sealing) + 12 (Disciple of the Beyond) + 8 (prep) + 6 = 71
Fingers crossed for Minatobiorunecrafting to make all our chakra costs lower foreverWe know that Calmer Chakra is more effective for Ninjutsu, and a Rune that affects the Chakra system is viable
*Runs the number* whoops, we're retroactively dead and also an Evil Continent has appeared. We now control Satsuko, Hazō has been vaporised, and the Evil Continent is just the Elemental Nations but entirely evil and coming at us. They have a nega!Hazō btw. Funnily enough he's head of his own Team DownfallMinor error here, since Hazou only prepped for 3 days on the TR 140 the prep bonus should be 6. I doubt it'll change the cycle count at all

A month?Okay given some discussions on Discord I am making changes to my plan. I am cutting the Distressor/Chakra EMP prep days and doing prep on Explosive Rune w/month long timer, and some sort of gravity rune.
I also will be shortening the duration of research to 6-7 days potentially doing a Explosive Rune w/ Timer + Storm Rune for a final no-prep yes DoB cycle.

I assume it's to destroy burried runes we leave behind(once their effects naturally end), so we aren't risking randos discovering the apocalyptic power of runesmithing.A month?
What's the use case? (Pls note that this is a general question for anyone to answer.)
Why not just use a seal for that…?I assume it's to destroy burried runes we leave behind(once their effects naturally end), so we aren't risking randos discovering the apocalyptic power of runesmithing.
Can you tell us the high level of what difference (if any) we noticed so we can properly account for how to use Kagome and his shadow clones in future plans? It would be fun, yes. I might write it at some point, then go back and edit it into the last chapter. If so, I'll alert everyone.
So, leaving a nice trail of craters behind us? I would really favour security through obscurity in this specific case.I assume it's to destroy burried runes we leave behind(once their effects naturally end), so we aren't risking randos discovering the apocalyptic power of runesmithing.
