With how self sacrificing Hazou can be I can totally see Kei spilling some of Hazou's self-proclaimed clan secrets if he has mental episode that could (from her point of view) possibly have been caused by raising his resolve too high above his other stats.

There are some extreme situations where she would act in his best personal interest over honoring his previous wishes because she would not want Hazou to die or become braindead. She's more loyal to Hazou as a person than to his wants and desires and Hazou can't discipline her as her clan head because she's a Nara now.
Please explain how these map ? In what way would revealing FOOM to Shikamaru prevent Hazou from becoming braindead or die? Since there has been nothing remotely close to that happening we can say with almost utter certainty that this has not come to pass. Also the likelihood of this happening is also remotely zero. Furthermore if Kei decided to give up our top level secret that would brand her as a traitor and the fact that we could not legally punish her would not stop us from acting to punish an extreme defector
For the record and context, I do not expect my personal FOOM spreading plans to fundamentally change the power dynamics in the Elemental Nations for at least a decade IC.
I would suggest you actually consider looking at the curve. Within a year we will have 4-6 elite jounin. This is 50% of the elite jounin leaf had at its peak. Within 2 years we will have 4-6 essies which is more than any village can deploy.

I don't think this is the curve, given that our growth rate is very on-and-off due to pyramids. Speaking about Kei and Akane, who are likely to be the combat builds:
  • In a year, they'll be chuunin-level combatants that look like they've spec'ed really hard into survivability.
  • In two years, they'll be very solid looking jounin.
  • In three years, they'll be confidently elite-jounin, looking for S-rank tricks that turn them into proper powerhouses.
    • Perhaps Hazou's at-this-point Kage-level Sealing can provide this.
    • Perhaps this could be Sage Mode.

Cool so off by a year. Which is a small quibble compared to the 10 years Dictator4Hire predicted

Meet with Asuma:
  • Orochimaru situation is hopefully resolved, for now.
    • Mari can't be deployed for at least a week; she was strongly affected by Orochimaru's psychic attack.
    • Explain the situation in as much detail as he desires.

We definitely need to ask Mari what she wants here. Not just to be friendly or polite, but because asking Asuma the second time to keep her away from any kind of fighting is a horrible idea.

"What about Mari?" Asuma asked sharply. "This is a war. She can play her games after we win but she's not sitting on the sidelines while Leaf is fighting for its existence."

Even if he accepts that psychic damage takes some time to heal, he isn't going to think about her "consequences", he is going to think "She's a jonin, walk it of and fight".

    • Ask Cannai to send a diplomat to Hornet to ask them if they have a Scroll.
      • Hazou would also like to personally thank the Hornets for their sacrifices.

We might as well ask about the Hare Clan, who are north of the Dogs.

And Noburi and/or Kei could also try to figure out about the Rat Clan and Leopards, not just by talking to them but among our allied clans. This might go nowhere because they didn't see it as a criteria for opening the way towards Arachnid, but asking can't hurt. Maybe they would see it as a form of assurance that the Pangolin don't attack them next?

Inspired by the stalwart efforts of the Hivemind's shippers, I hereby present you with the latest Marked for Death shipping chart. Corrections and suggestions for improvement welcome.

Should there be "Teammates" links between Mari and {Hazou, Noburi, Akane}? Also, I'm curious as to why there's a Teammates link between Ino and Kei. Also, where's SpiderWife??

We need to add Choji to the shipping domain somehow so we can get another complete team into the mix. I wonder how he feels about Shiori?

Ami has a surprisingly low number of connections. We could also try to fix that ^_^

Added Kumokōgō. Team Uplift doesn't get teammate links because they've been superseded by familial relationships.

I would say the relation between noburi and Neji would be Its complicated, trough its not realy romantic.

1) The fact that ^_^ and >.< perfectly encapsulates Hazou's dynamic with Ami is amusing

2) And the fact that Hazou has a crush on explosives, whereas Kagome is married to explosives made me laugh.

DO IT!
[x] Have Hazou-pilot actually draw the chart and give a copy to Keiko.
You know, we've been getting too permissive about meme votes. If this is still in the tally when voting closes, without a higher-scoring countervote, it will happen. So will any other genuine meme votes.

Edit: I've been persuaded out of this. We will follow the usual system, where we write the meme vote if it wins, which it is doing at the time of writing.

I'm sorry, I can't help myself. Chaos speaks to me. Meme votes just became funny again.

You say that, but horror stories of the Youthsuit still ring in my ear.

Edit: also, this chart confirms Hazou-pilot knows about Snowflake's crush, and this seems like a particularly cruel way to go about interacting with that subplot.

Voting for who is at the table for the Sage Mode conversation has closed. Regular voting continues.

Reminder that if Mist joins the war on our side, a home-front Wakahisa can channel chakra through a summoner, then Noburi can retrieve that chakra from the Seventh Path and distribute it to summoners anywhere in the EN.
Not that I'm writing this update, but can someone explain to me how this works and why it's better than the version I wrote for the Zoo Rush?
