Not that I'm writing this update, but can someone explain to me how this works and why it's better than the version I wrote for the Zoo Rush?
Essentially the difference is with two Wakahisa you are not restricted to fielding a force that is equal to the total CR of the group of summoners. You are able to field a force that is arbitrarily large. So instead of attacking with 6 jounin level fighters at a time you can hit a target with 50+. At the same time all of your combatants will be able to be at full chakra in case of a counter strike by opposing forces. This enables you to hit hard targets and be safe from counter attacks.

In the Zoo Rush, the only beneficiaries are summoners who can get refilled on the Seventh Path, and since they cannot sustain any summons while reverse-summoned they are still limited by their maximum chakra capacity.

Meanwhile, if a Wakahisa drains a bunch of Genin and fills Asuma up, and Asuma goes to the Seventh Path, Noburi can be waiting there to drain Asuma and return to the EN to pass that chakra to other summoners wherever they've all gathered, who can bring out another summon or two and, critically, stay on the Human Path. In this way Asuma can keep going to and from the Seventh Path, Noburi can keep draining him and giving the chakra to other summoners, and an essentially unlimited number of summons can be fielded at the same time.

So the point is that you send Noburi (or some Wakahisa) into the field with the group. Sounds very inefficient, since Noburi's reserves can easily grow to be larger than any non-Wakahisa's. Still, I suppose it works and I see the advantage. Whoever is playing chakra mule is definitely going to be peeing clear as glass, that's for sure.

Actually Noburi has to be the one in the field. Since to get the chakra to summoners you have to have a Wakahisa on the 7th path

Noburi could be in Leaf and refill Asuma on the 7th path though. The other Wakahisa would then distribute the chakra

We could also keep Noburi in the field, a summoner in Leaf, and use the Wakahisa to recharge the summoner without giving up OPSEC regarding the Summoning Army.("Recharge us for the war effort, no, we won't explain why. Thank You").

We're assuming that min(Noburi's reserves, Asuma's reserves) is still like 700ish and plenty enough to summon 2-3 jounin-level summons per relay. Optimistically, we could field more jounin in one attack than any enemy state has in total, and that's hopefully more unique esoteric abilities and summon elements and such than their hard defenses and countermeasures can prepare for.

Yeah, though having that Wakahisa in the field probably leaks Summoning/Seventh Path/etc. OPSEC even more.

We definitely need to ask Mari what she wants here. Not just to be friendly or polite, but because asking Asuma the second time to keep her away from any kind of fighting is a horrible idea.
How does having a "Check plan with Mari" sound?

We might as well ask about the Hare Clan, who are north of the Dogs.

And Noburi and/or Kei could also try to figure out about the Rat Clan and Leopards, not just by talking to them but among our allied clans. This might go nowhere because they didn't see it as a criteria for opening the way towards Arachnid, but asking can't hurt. Maybe they would see it as a form of assurance that the Pangolin don't attack them next?
Sure, if you're fine with this being an offscreen part? Leopards are also adjacent to Dog IIRC, but probably more hostile relations.

[x] Have Hazou-pilot actually draw the chart and give a copy to Keiko.

Look, there's a difference between meme votes and humorous votes. The central examples of meme votes make no sense in-universe: voting them in would lead to Hazou acting insane, senseless, and self-destructive. This, on the other hand, is perfectly in-character, doesn't lead to any grave consequences, and just so happens to also be funny. It's completely unlike what you'd fear!
Edit: also, this chart confirms Hazou-pilot knows about Snowflake's crush, and this seems like a particularly cruel way to go about interacting with that subplot.
Write a plan that uses the shipping chart as a creative way to broach the subject with her and I'll vote for it.

We could also have, say, Asuma AND Orochimaru warping back and forth to speed things along, and then one of them tops up the other at the end.

True, but Mist already knows how Summoning works, they used to own the shark scroll and there's prolly still one or two folks who have the knowledge of Summoning.

On another note I wonder if this would help strengthen the Leaf/Mist alliance? Mist and Leaf together can form a superweapon that Leaf can't use on them and vice versa, meanwhile they're each benefiting from the other being stronger against the other villages.

True, they fought plenty in the past. But so did the Pangolin and Condors, whatever the Leopards fear, it's not going to be a genocide.

Until Noburi and Yuno have cute little crazy psycho children.

Yeah Mist ambassadors would apparently be required to report Hazou having kids so I'm sure the relationship will change at that time. Til then, though.
EDIT: Wait, Mist would actually still have some control because of the Barrels decaying

Added. Looked at the Seventh Path map and it looks like Toads aren't near adjacent to Leopard and Rats, so I just put Kei and the Pangolins, hope that's fine.

Changes: General wordcount optimization + highlighted.
[X] Action Plan: Being Useful, and Being Kind
Word Count: 298
  • Check plan with Mari.
  • Meet with Asuma:
    • Orochimaru situation is hopefully resolved, for now.
      • Mari can't be deployed for at least a week; she was strongly affected by Orochimaru's psychic attack.
      • Explain the situation in as much detail as he desires.
    • How can Hazou be most helpful in the war?
      • Make more strategies and tactics like the assault on the fortress?
        • If so, access to recovered intelligence would help.
        • Hazou can make more "creative" plans with more information access, so there's better odds that one of them is good.
      • Train the candidate for the Arachnid Summoner?
        • Hazou, injured, is the least useful Summoner in Leaf and knows the Arachnids personally
      • Produce lots of valuable seals with Clan Gouketsu?
    • If Mist joins the war on our side, a home-front Wakahisa can channel chakra through a summoner, then Noburi can retrieve that chakra from the Seventh Path and distribute it to summoners anywhere in the EN.
      • Allows a summoner to have all their summons out at once and still fight at full capacity.
      • Works with Noburi and Wakahisa flipped.
      • OPSEC concerns?
  • Spend some time with Ino and Akane:
    • See how they're doing, especially with the war.
    • Be supportive, but also let yourself be supported.
  • Attend Kei and Tenten's Commitment Ceremony:
    • Ask the Arachnids or the Dogs if they know any especially pointy objects that you can bring as a gift.
  • (offscreen) misc:
    • Arrange a birthday gift for Akane.
      • Have clan members paint designs on flowerpots for her garden, possibly of things that remind them of her.
      • Follow strict OPSEC.
    • Ask Cannai to send a diplomat to Hornet and Hare to ask if they have a Scroll.
      • Hazou would also like to personally thank the Hornets for their sacrifices.
    • Ask Kei if the Pangolins can open diplomacy with Leopard and Rat?

Since we don't have a plan yet, figured I'd put something up that moves the plot forwards on a couple axes. Feedback very much appreciated! Well below word count currently, so there's lots of room to flesh things out.

We...want to train others with FOOM? I thought it was just the core Goketsu/Team Uplift. Training anyone else seems...risky at best.
Dictator4Hire has been advocating that path for the last... few months? He's made a couple effortposts on the matter and engaged in a few debates about it, but it still appears to be a minority opinion among the hivemind.
