Kitsune's profile read as "Goblin Fox is active this turn" and I just assumed that it meant next turn due to the timing of it, I guess. My bad.
Edit: In fairness, to my understanding there's no real reason to put Kitsune on Diplomacing Magical New York instead of Goofy since they have the same Diplomacy score.
One last Omake before they're all counted, this one is a bit different since there's discussion about Doom.
Rule of Three
Another run of the mill PR event by the mayor of LA, Judge Doom, this one was for a charity event, which one doesn't matter, simply that it brought further positive attention towards the psychopathic toon. His methods required it after all, good PR helped prevent the eyes of the public from focusing to much on his plans and... 'bias' towards a marginalized group.
"I... thank you all for your generosity... today." Doom told the crowd, a fake smile plastered on his face. "Now, I would like... to draw your attention... to the screen."
It was a gimmick that was being pushed forward for this event, the highest doner that is't able to be at the event will be broadcasted to have an interview of sorts with him, something to make him seem more approachable to the common people. It was a great shock to Doom when none other than the eternal thorn in his side, Heinz Doofenshmirtz appeared on the screen with a wide smile.
"Is it on? Oh, yes it is, hey there Doom!" He says with a strange sense of familiarity, as if they were friends. "Guess who?"
"Doof...en...shmirtz," It took no small amount of effort to keep the venom out of his voice as he spoke. "If you wished to speak... you could have come in person..."
"Oh I would have, but I have so very many things on my plate, robots, dinosaurs, stopping your attempts at ethnic cleansing, meetings, it just goes on and on!" Before anything could be said about the third item the Doctor continued to speak. "Besides it's a good cause, and I wanted to speak to you about something but you don't answer my phone calls! Rude, by the way, I answer yours."
There were no such calls, and it would be easy to call the Doctor out on it, but something about his tone said that for once, Doom did not have the advantage in a public situation.
"What... did you wish to... tell me?" The mayor asked the Diseased Pharmacist. "And why... couldn't it wait until after the... event?"
"Well because it would probably reach you from someone else first, and I hate it when someone steals credit for my work!" He drives a fist into his palm for emphasis. "Now since we're in a public forum I can't get into detail but..."
Oh get on with it!
"With luck former Police Chief Bonkers Bobcat should get a not-guilty for the murder of Alonso Hawk before the month is out!"
What?
"What?"
"I've spent quite some time around toons, long enough to know when something doesn't quite add up around them." He began explaining. "So I decided to do some investigating of my own, sent some people over, hired a few people, and I found some overlooked evidence that proves Mr. Bobcat couldn't have done it! The LAPD has already authenticated the evidence! It's terribly exciting, I thought you should know, being mayor, and one so heavily, concerned, with toons after all."
"I... see..." Doom's head was spinning, that was one of his best cover ups yet! Only his work on Roger Rabbit was better, how did this joke of a doctor see though it? "I must... thank you... for your work then. You helped avoid... a... miscarriage of justice."
Every syllable needed to be forced out, inside the toon was seething with rage, having to thank the man who ruined months of hard work only to publicly flaunt it in his face, but it didn't seem the man was done, oh no, he still had something else to say.
"I've got some ideas of who might be responsible if you don't mind?" He didn't wait for anyone before he continued. "It can only be a toon true, nobody but a toon could pull it off after all, but not just any toon. A truly warped and depraved toon, one with a dark and fatal idea of humor. One who's probably hiding in plain sight, a toon like that doesn't survive long without learning to act like any other toon, or finding a way to hide it's a toon altogether."
Doom felt a cold sweat, thankfully hidden by his mask, he couldn't have... could he?
"Thankfully there are ways to find a toon, no matter how well hidden, like that tune, you know the one you use all the time Doom?" Tap tap tap-tap tap. "What was it called again?"
"Shave... and... a Haircut..."
Doom felt the urge to complete the pattern, an deeply ingrained instinct, one that he quickly quashed.
"Yes, that one! A toon has an almost overpowering urge to finish the little diddy if it isn't finished on its own." Tap tap tap-tap tap. "That said one with a strong will could feasibly resist the urge, thankfully there is another aspect to toons in our favor..."
"And what.." The urge was stronger this time, Doom almost couldn't bring himself to speak. "Would that... be?"
Doof's grin turned vicious.
"The rule of three."
Tap tap tap-tap tap
Tap tap
The crowd was silent...
Doof was grinning...
Doom looked down at the source of the taps...
His own cane...
"That's what I thought." Doof faced the crowd. "That's all folks!"
The screen went black.
Not likely to happen, but it would be so fun to publicly expose Doom.
Eh, fair enough. Besides that, it took me a bit to realize we should put off an action that wouldn't crit-success well like stealing an Encantus for a turn where it wouldn't crit-fail so badly. So that seems to be an appropriate action for the turn after next turn for Kitsune.
They might both be toons ... but they have different life experiences. Negaduck was Darkwing Duck, who did the full Batman thing. Years/decades of martial arts training, years and years of fighting for his life against crime and supervillains (often with superpowers), and then Negaduck went evil and spent years killing people.
The murderous toon thing enhances the danger to be sure, but Negaduck has lives a life that would make him a dangerous combatant even if he was a human, while Doom ... is just a corrupt former judge and businessman who presumably hasn't really done a lot of fighting and, presumably, has no training?
If they'd have similar martial just because their both murderous Toons ... honestly seems unfair to Negaduck. He's spent soo much time and effort becoming a good fighter, just being a murderous toon shouldn't equal being a murderous toon plus decades of training and experience.
I hereby grant this modern genius all the XP, forever, for his brilliant and perfectly written work. May his amazingness continue to reign forever and ever, etc. Whoever put this in Apocrypha instead of immediately abandoning Doofquest to work on this superior work is a fool of the highest caliber.
Okay, so I went ahead and made a HATEBAGEL logo based on the canon LOVEMUFFIN logo. Sorry for the poor quality. I only have Paint and a mousepad mouse, rather than Photoshop and an actual computer mouse to work with.
You haven't done Wendy's personals yet, but I can definitely see this happening. This gets a Provisionally Canon- send me a message if the band ever votes yes on it!

And it continues, excellently. Hego may soon find himself part of a bigger... faction in DEI. ...is 'doofy heroes continually uncertain about this whole 'Evil' thing a faction?
500XP.
I think it's wonderful that Marco has "Disciple of Jo-Lan" already. Now the question is, do we believe Marco is enough of a dork to secretly know all the hand signs that Tobe uses in Tobe's superior mastery of Jo-Lan?
Because I Believe It!

I'm still of the opinion Robo-Rodgers should be created for the betterment of mankind, and hopefully as an ambassador hero-unit to Drossel. Star Botterfly is an excellent choice though, because she would love to be a cool ACME fighting robot tbh. Pre-requisite will be, you know, finding Star BUT HEY! We're already doing that!
I would personally like to translate Drossel this turn. Crit Success might let us communicate back as well, that'd be neat
Non-Practicing Practitioner: Janna has a breadth of knowledge about the occult but also, ultimately, basically no experience using it. She has +5 to rolls made to learn more about supernatural subjects, but also cannot take any Occult actions that require her to cast a spell or otherwise manipulate magic herself.
