1000 x the number of national actions

We're doing 12 actions, but Jumba doesn't need XP so I think it's 11k total, probably less for efficiency's for some of the higher odd ones
Ah, dang, I still don't have enough to cover the full slate. Well, I guess i'll give 1000 to Civilian AI if we have a plan that includes that. Seems fitting, given what one of my Omakes was about.

No! Wait!

Flashbacks begin...
What the hell? Put my 1000 remaining XP on Jumba. Might as well make it a complete set and lower the DC
But, like... it does literally nothing.
Actually, you know what? That's a good point. Never mind, XP rescinded. Ignore me, I'm slightly tipsy thanks to the many glasses of cider I had. Hopefully my shower will clear my head
Flashback ends.

Please. I fear the dice will be insulted. Please, give XP to Jumba.

The point of branding isn't just PR, it's to make money by getting customers to associate a need or want to one of our products. Just wanted to clarify that because people seem to continue to get confused about that, for example people who originally wanted to dive headfirst into a big branding thing before actually having a product to advertise.
In fairness, we have a product. It's screws and washers and bits and bobs and everything that manufacturing needs.

As for opportunity and action costs, if Negaduck attacks this turn, we're just going to have to collaborate with the Feds on something else. Oh no.
I disagree with basically your entire post but this in particular stands out.

The GMs have been very consistent with giving us what we vote for, not what we 'intended' to vote for. And this:
--[] [Diplomacy] Try to Collaborate with the Government on an Issue [Negaduck] (Kermit)
Is specifically a colab about dealing with Negaduck. If this is what the winning plan has then we will get one or more colab actions exclusively for dealing with Negaduck and nothing else.

Okay, but I'm pretty sure that helping with the Negaduck situation will make people buy our stuff more. If nothing else it's great advertising. I'm thinking of getting the government off our back when we score our Widget monopoly.
We aren't the police. None of our customers care about us doing the police's job.
Also when the heck did we decide we wanted a monopoly? And since when did we have any Widget-advancing actions?

Depending where Kermit ends up, he might not need it either. I was thinking of a final Omake (Russ getting caught up to speed by someone), but I might save it for after the turns are up for dear Arathorns Sanity.

@Made in Heaven
If Doof goes into negatives for his liquid funds, does it balance out by deducting from his next yearly income, or is that not actually mechanically possible?

Toffee and DOR-15 funnilly enough Doof doesn't really view as his enemies. It's not personal, not yet. Doofs Enemies are

Though do note he froze himself before we learnt the hats are evil and not just a tool of evil
Not pictured: Phantom Blot (though he is actually Russ's nemesis, the nemesis of your employee is your nemesis-in-law, as per Monogram), and though Doof doesn't yet know it, an impending confrontation with Yokai.

If you go into the negatives this turn, your yearly income next turn will almost certainly bring you out of the red. If you go into the negatives on another turn, you'll have to gain income in some way to get yourself out of it- staying in the negatives on income is very bad and will carry with it a lot of harsh penalties.

Edit: you can't choose to go into the negatives, you'd essentially be trying to spend income you don't have.

Before I finalize Hold Your Nose And Swallow V3*, I'd like a quick vote.

Monogram gets a +54 +64 +54 vs a DC 100 after xp for contacting the Feds. A smidge better than a coinflip.
Monogram gets a +96 vs DC 100 after xp for the wrestling collab.

Kermit gets a +80 on the gov collab.
Kermit gets a +109 on wrestling.

Hearts for believing in Monogram to get the Government collab. Kermit will do wrestling.

Lightbulbs for just going with the better odds, and putting Kermit into talking to the government and Monogram can do the wrestling collab.

Hearts for doing the narratively sound thing - Kermit on the wrestling and Monogram with the government
--[] [Diplomacy] Try to Collaborate with the Government on an Issue [Negaduck] (Monogram)
--[] [Diplomacy -> Kermit + Olympia] Establish the Titans Wrestling Federation

Lightbulb for going pure numbers for CoS
--[] [Diplomacy] Try to Collaborate with the Government on an Issue [Negaduck] (Kermit)
--[] [Diplomacy -> Monogram + Olympia] Establish the Titans Wrestling Federation

Do we believe that Monogram can beat the coin flip odds and finally join the big kids' table at the letter agency? Do we think that Kermit and Monogram will have a better narrative with Hearts? Is that narrative worth 26 16% 26% change in odds?

*Moseby will keep up with London and Max will get the wings since he's tagging along with Russ.

Edit: The QMs are yet to decide if Put a Stop to it actually procs, so the strikethroughs are not confirmed.
Edit: They decided. Sorry Monogram.
PS, my vote is Heart.

You know I was thinking of working on an omake of a DEI training video based on the Spongebob episode, but that can wait

I mean, no, us actively helping to catch a terrifying serial killer would probably help PR. Also, Olive decided he wanted that.

Sidenote: I'm really hoping Max rolls high on his PA.

I think for your plan it would be best to give Monogram a shot.

Imagine this storyline:

Monogram goes to washington with a plan to defeat Negaduck
They laugh at him but hear him out (bare success)
Two months later, Negaduck is defeated

Monogram's character arc complete

And he's more likely to get us more serious return on investment. Are we gonna send a mascot or a Major? They'll treat us differently. I'm starting to lean towards Hearts myself, it's only a 26% difference, not that bad. This isn't the critical roll, worst case we won't be able to mitigate whatever Negaduck is planning, not a dead hero.

Regarding this, I'd like to ask for some clarification

[ ] Try to Collaborate with the Government on an Issue
DC 100/Variable

The DC of this action is like that of Assault a Rival- once you suggest a specific issue to speak about, I'll estimate a DC for the following action for you.

@Arathnorn So if I'm getting this right, the DC for proposing the collaboration is a fixed 100, while the variable DC to be decided later is for the actual collaborative action that is chosen? Or is the DC for the initial talks variable and could be lowered or heightened depending on which hero is used?

Cant be True

Cant be True

Russ was having a pretty nice day all things considered. Sure there was the fact the amount of paperwork for his absences from both DEI and the FBI would take a week to sort out; and the Phantom Blot was out there demanding his personal attention, but anything was better then being in the mindscape haunted by multiple dream demons. He even got to meet Kermit the Frog on his first day back!

Russ imagined Riddle was gonna ask for a full report on what had happened in the mindscape; and figured he should probably report on the ongoings of DEI for the past couple of months at the same time. The fact he wasn't metaphysically there during those months didn't concern him very much. While he was planning to ask Doof before after his return from the hospital, he had connections in DEI that he could access in the meantime. Max, Technor, Janna...

Ok, maybe his connections weren't exactly reliable. Technor was a megalomaniac, Max seemed to want to stay as far away from the general ongoings of the workplace as possible, and he knew better then to trust Janna to avoid trying to mess with him instead of giving honest answers. He was considering going to Dennis when Monogram and L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s new kid Gomez walked past him.

"and so I asked Vice Master Ludivine if she had any spare projects for me, but she said that Vice Master Janus was holding onto the keys to her lab until he can safely remove all Flubber Resea... Oh hello Agent Unknown"

Russ turned around and immediatly began sizing up the scientist. He had already gotten word that the companies new Board of directors contained several toons including Ludivine; as well as the fact people were already questioning the decision to put toons on the board do to a decision she made. Hearing Flubber research and it wasn't hard to connect two and two together.

"Greetings Gomez, Monogram. I was just about to go ask Mirage what has happened since my absence. I am somewhat surprised that your still here, L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N was fired last time I heard about them."

"Oh yeah you weren't here when i got rehired, well what wound up happening was Master Doofen..."
"Doofenshmirtz gave them permission to do Mad Science and was surprised when they destroyed downtown Danville; Gomez was sick that day and was moved to the occult division after Doof was reminded he existed."
"Well yes, but anyway me and Francis were just talking about our masters now that he is working for the FBI again; also Vice Master Mirage left work shortly after she returned from the excursion."

The 2 began explaining to Russ the various events that had happened since he left. The Dicken's report on the Helping Hats, Mirage restructuring DEI's corporate infrastructure after Doof Froze himself for 2 months, the repeal of the SRA, Wendy discovering True AI, and of course the horrors of the Kataclysm. After they had finished and began leaving Russ called out.

"I'm sorry but I don't believe you"
"I'm sorry? I know that it's hard to believe, and the fact Yagoobian's mad rantings were translated by Tobe meant somethings almost certainly got lost, and the fact theres apparantly a Time Police but..."
"No I can completely believe in Tobe turning a rogue time traveller to the time travel department of the FBI, i was referring to your other claim. The part that gave away your lies was when you tried to claim people now eat at Bueno Nacho."

The scientist and director paused for a moment, before looking at each other as if to see which one was gonna be putting their life on the line. Finally Gomez took a gulp of air before saying.
"If needed I can arrange a luncheon for the three of us to go to Bueno Nacho and solidify our... claims?"
"Er... yes me and Gomez haven't actually ever eaten there, but we saw the episode of Restaurant Wars where Boltan managed to at least make the restaurant look clean"

Russ paused for a moment. A lunch at Bueno Nacho before he left could prove disasterous for his return to the FBI, but it was something so far out there it could almost certainly prove the wild claims made by Monogram and Gomez. Figuring he could always leave early if it was obvious it hadn't changed Russ hesitantly agreed to meet them there for lunch tomorrow.

I'm sorry Arathorn but inspiration struck literally at the last possible minute

I also forgot Russ went missing after LOVEMUFFIN exploded, gonna edit it

And Put a Stop to It!: Major Monogram has a lot of experience dealing with minor to moderate threats to law and order. He also has a veritable zoo of secret agents helping him. He has a +10 to any rolls made to combat, infiltrate, or otherwise deal with villains that have a DC of 100 or lower.
Okay I have found a justification for labeling the Collaboration [Negaduck]. Monogram's odds are now +64 after xp. The difference between his and Kermit's odds is now 16%.

This isn't the intent of the action, Monogram is negotiating with the government on if they want to do something with Negaduck next turn or not. Negaduck isn't involved in this action to a degree that would proc the trait.

Alright, then I'll take one of Angelform's objections into account and change the tag to [Preferably Negaduck].

Before I finalize Hold Your Nose And Swallow V3*, I'd like a quick vote.
Lightbulbs are taking this 4:2 and I want to sleep. If the votes change, we can put up another version.

May I suggest that, if we are having Monogram do the collab, you swap to the Golden Oldies instead? It's lower DC, and seems to fit Monogram's talents better.
