@Arathnorn here are the changes that need to be made to account for Hopper's.

Revenues
Income From Industries: 22 25
Misc Income: 3
Total Gross Income: 25 28

Costs
Operating Expenses: -5
Evil Job Benefits -3
Super-Friendly Insuricare Program: -2
Total Costs: -10

Earnings Before Interest and Taxes: 15 18

Current Corporate Tax Rate: 35%
Taxes= 5 6

Regular Income: 10 12
Incorrect numbers have been strikethrough'd while the new numbers have been emphasized.

Semuncia from Castle Doofhawk: +2 (Drusselstein is so out of date, it's ancient medieval treasure is from late antiquity.)
Chicken Itza Loot: +2 (You've only scratched the surface! See what else you can get out this golden goose!)
Chicken Itza excavation: +5 (Now you've done more than scratch the surface. The goose has laid his golden egg and he will hurt you if you keep using that metaphor.)
Hiring the Commodore: -7 (The best detective in the world is expensive, who knew?)
Hiring the Dickens (Small): -2 (Ling Ling is quite the shrewd negotiator for a thirteen year old)
Setting money aside: -5 (There's some things money can't buy. Apparently supreme magical power isn't one of them.)
Hiring Marco -1 (Marco is still charging a premium for non-Star related actions)
Doc Hopper's: -8 (The franchise was rather expensive.)
I had neglected to mention this earlier, but we had gained 3 Funds from sending the PMC to kill Huntsclan in New York City.

Restaurants: Locations selling ready-made food intended to be eaten on the spot or taken away. Distinct from retail locations such as supermarkets.
  • Restaurants: Nonexistent (Bueno Nacho) [+0]
This should be increased by 3 to account for Hopper's. It should also probably include Hopper's in the description.

Total Corporate Income Per Year: 22
This should be 25.

After examining, we've decided to update the inator as follows:

A single randomly chosen action this turn will have its base, flat roll reduced by 5. This reduces chance of success and critical success by 5%, and increases critical failure by the same amount. A roll of 0 to -4 always counts as a critical failure, regardless of success chance.
Thats interesting, it gives the learning crit fail to whatever it hits.

Lizzy would be almost untouched outside of the -5 Critical Success chance, but would impact Jumba is we did his thing this turn. Wasabi on say, ODI would be similarly non-impacted if we try to limit the damage this inator could cause; but that risk pissing off Glomgold. He could also get to maximum potential bonus for Silphium with 500 XP

Also, the Retreat has no council discussion or outcome. I'm sure it'd pass, but still.

Olivebirdy: Could we have a DC for collaboration with the Feds or Shego on Negaduck?
Made in Heaven: I expect events this turn to unpredictably change the DC.
We can't rely on Negaduck only setting off his plan two turns from now. The Feds are getting closer, and Word of QM says that things are getting unpredictable. Means that if we want to have a good chance of mitigation, we need a collab and we need it ASAP. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and this might be what determines if we get blindsided. Plan: Hold Your Nose and Swallow will have the bitter taste of putting off Civilian AI for a turn, but as that's going to take a while to show effects, one turn might not matter. It will also not have Kermit working on setting up a wrestling foundation, but as a consolation prize we'll get a significant boost in Advanced Robotics.

[] Plan: Hold Your Nose and Swallow
-[] National Actions:
--[] [Martial] Form a black ops group (Technor, Juniper (+10 Duet Act), Gomez)

Any thoughts on people to shuffle around? It's not the best plan, but I'm willing to sacrifice some efficiency for a chance at mitigating Negaduck's plan. Sure, it would be better to have Wendy for Diecast, but we don't have Wendy right now, and we need the Diplomacy slot for Negaduck. I can't find a better option than Wasabi. Talking to the Feds about Negaduck seems a bit out of Kermit's pay range, but it's not like we've got anyone better, right?

Anyway, hat in ring, hopefully this plan can be polished.

--[] [Stewardship] Develop Civilian AI (Alan)

So now we know we can do a subvote for the AI thing to specify how they can be acclimated.

Ideas so far, which one?
  • Soup Kitchen Volunteering PR Stunt
  • Take the AI to a carnival
  • Have the AI socialize and explore Little Toontown, interacting with the toons
  • Insuricare Internship
We need to think of ideas for the subvote that Alan would do. QM have said "I will be watching any subvotes you put down very carefully."

I REALLY think it's a bad idea to try the negaduck thing with anyone but russ. Hopefully it can wait one turn.

I also think the AI write ins are a mistake. Potentially a huge one. Like trying to manipulate intelligent beings into some kind of enforced niche bad.

We have had... issues... with write ins. Why not just complete the regular action so it works as the QMs intended, without throwing in odd variables.

Some write ins make a lot of sense but I'm not feeling that with this one. Will the AI take the wrong lesson and think we're trying to force them to be a servant class? I dunno. Why risk it.

It's a capstone. Let's not accidentally muck it up.

It ultimately depends how much we feel we need Negaducks plan right this very instant. If we do use it though I'd rather have Monogram set up Wrestling with Kermit on Collab and save the retreat for a future turn. I am hesitant to do retreat on a turn we dont quest; and Monogram has a decent enough Chance of Success with Winstons help offsetting his terrible personal diplo (I think he gets to a 97% with XP)

Stewardship is still capstone

Russ can do the actual investigation. Try to collaborate is just setting up the collab.

Establishing the collab without him is fine; enacting the collab with Russ is a must.
Alright. That's fair.

I definitely want to do the wrestling collaboration with Olympia though.

We'll have to reach out to them again if we're doing die cast instead.

QM have said "I will be watching any subvotes you put down very carefully."

This is such a huge red flag. It's terrifying. I can't think of a clearer warning that a write in could absolutely blow up in our face.

Good God let's not do it. I can't imagine any benefits we would get that would be worth the risk of a write in.

Okay, if you are focused on working with the government to prepare against Negaduck, you have a few options for what to do for the collab, Monogram action, and 2nd stewardship action. Let me post some numbers for Monogram.

Wresting Federation Collab: 11 (NOWCA Diplo) + 1 (loyalty bonus) + 32 (Doof and Council bonus) + (Winston Diplo per threadmark) 42 = +86 and then Exp if need be on a 100 DC action.

Diecast Collab: 16 (NOWCA Stewardship) + 2 (loyalty bonus) + 37 (Doof and Council bonus) + (Winston Stewardship per threadmark) 34 = +89 and then Exp if need be on a 130 DC action.

Split/Second option: 16 (NOWCA Stewardship) + 2 (loyalty bonus) + 37 (Doof and Council bonus) = +55 and then exp on a 80 DC action

ODI is an auto pass barring the normal crit fail chances.

Monogram doing a company retreat this turn is bad with how the retreat works. We want to do it during a turn where we are going hard on quests ideally to get the most benefits, so doing it in a turn or two will get better benefits here as we should be able to do some of triangulation and the Feldrake questline.

NOWCA can reliably grab the wrestling federation on the collab, while leaving Civilian AI or Bonkers open for the 2nd stewardship option depending on preference.

If you want to do Diecast you can choose to do either it on the main and Monogram on S/S or ODI depending on which you prefer. If you do Monogram on Diecast for the slightly lower odds, you can do one of Bonkers/Civilian AI for the 2nd option.

If going for Civilian AI, Alan should be put on there. If going for Bonkers, use Moseby. And for full disclosure, here are the numbers for both of those. Civilian AI is a powerful capstone action that takes time to get going, while there is a very real chance that this is the last turn we can do Bonkers, so both of them have their uses on this front.

36 (Moseby Stewardship) + 3 (Loyalty) + 37 (Council and Doof) = 76 bonii + exp on a 140 DC action.

26 (Alan Stewardship) + 2 (Loyalty) + 20 (Trait Activation) + 37 (Council and Doof) = 85 bonii + exp on a 120 DC action.

We should definitely save any entertainment sector actions that heavily involve managing people, like wrestling, for Kermit. He's perfect for them.

Maybe split second as well.

On the whole, I agree with you, but that's why the initial idea didn't involve them in normal service work. Instead, they're meant to be doing food bank stuff, which, frankly, is a lot different than a servant-like relationship. It's about helping people, more than anything else, and I don't think it's that risky, really.

It might not really be that risky but I'm spooked now.

What possible benefit could we get from a write in that's worth the risk of potentially screwing up a capstone that involves making new independent beings?

Nah. I'm all in for default completion. No write in at all. Let's see what the QMs had planned for it.

Keep in mind the context: it was a reply to my joking suggestion of "Hmm, what if the AI subvote is a carnival. Teach the robots how to trick and scam people"

I can't see why Cruella would need wings. She's also a new hire.

It's been impressed on me that Retreat isn't a high priority on a turn with few quests, so I'm going back to wrestling, for the funds and hope of Wendy coming back soon. And if there's a Stewardship slot open, better lock in the AI capstone.

Is it worth putting Heroball off for yet another turn to get Junniper and TECHNOR's powerups set up?

Edit: Thank you, Nystical, Olympia typo fixed.

Nah. I'm all in for default completion. No write in at all. Let's see what the QMs had planned for it.
We will make them ruthless, unfeeling and the most efficient beings.
They shall talk to people in a constant, calm and collected monotone, no matter if they are above a vat of molten iron or being dissected.
They shall be firm and commanding, nononsense and grounded shall be their second most exemplary quality.
Because nothing shall beat their politeness-fu, not even another AI. They will be second to none in regards of disarming politeness.
Yes.
They shall work the dreaded FRONT DESK!!!!! *dramatic lightning!!!!!*

Just to make clear what the idea behind the write-in is:

-[X] Soup Kitchen Volunteering PR Stunt
DC N/A

You already need a way to humanize your Civilian AI, Goofy wants to help out food shelters a bit, and if you're lucky, this will make people see the Civilian AI as nice, but not servants, since it's a food shelter, not customer service. Anyways, you'll still need a lot of the rest of the facilities, but you should be able to rotate out not-quite-sapient-yet AIs into the food shelter to get humanized just a bit more, bringing them back to the facility before they actually Spark.

Council Outlook: 3/5 (Pass)
Coyote: It's a good way to achieve multiple goals, even if it won't save much money. (Pass)
Goofy: Helping to feed people sounds good, and so does showing people that robots can be nice! (Pass)
Janus Lee: I suppose this does cover multiple things at once, but I worry about the security of the growing AI that we put out in the food shelters. (Abstain)
Mirage: Well, this isn't exactly what I meant when I talked about revamping soup kitchens. But if the science checks out, I don't see why we shouldn't do it. (Pass)
Ludivine: You vant to be just going around giving AI to soup keetchens? Some ducks could use some lab assistants, you know! (Veto)
Malifishmirtz: Like I said before, why are you treating golems like people? And helping people for nothing too? Can I double veto? I want a double veto for this one. (Veto)

Outcome: Small public opinion increase, slightly increased opinion of AI in Danville, negligible (as in it doesn't matter mechanically) decrease in costs/time for Develop Civilian AI

Obviously, I don't know the actual benefits, but the first two seem reasonable, while the last may be true, or maybe the opposite will be true, I'm not entirely sure. But hopefully this makes clear what I'm thinking, at least.

EDIT: SINCE I GOT YELLED AT, TO BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR, THIS IS BASICALLY AN OMAKE, IF ANYTHING. IT IS NOT AN ACTION THAT'S BEEN GIVEN TO US BY THE QMS. IT WAS LITERALLY JUST MY IDEA FOR HOW IT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED, AND WAS INTENDED TO JUST BE A FUN READ.

I mean, frankly, there's a reason why I thought of food banks. Working at a front desk feels far less likely to actually do anything in terms of humanizing them, while helping out at food banks seems like it'd be pretty decent at it.

Well, if the QMs wrote that up as the official action and result, that takes away most of my concerns.

My only issue then is does that take up a national action and is it really worth it?

Edit: Wait... that's not Made in Heaven. I've been tricked!!!

Not one of the collab options, and even if it were, I wouldn't want to give Olympia the secrets for free.
Dammit, typo. Let me go edit that...

Is it worth putting Heroball off for yet another turn to get Juniper and TECHNOR's powerups set up?
Juniper's trait adds her Occult to her Martial for dance battling.
Gomez's trait replaces half his Learning for his Occult score.
Juniper and TECHNOR's personals boost their Martial.

Boosting Martial won't boost Learning or Occult in any way. It is, however, my main reason for wanting a heroball, that Reorganize PMC option.
