Of course, if we're using this tavern for three society meetings per week (one each of sealsmith, hacker, and medic), that's going to get them a lot of business from society members. If we own the tavern, then that's a revenue stream we're profiting from.
Y'know, Mari might like having her own tavern/inn, and there's a kind of poetic symmetry to it.

The Hokage's clan could probably use a privately owned and managed place to put up visiting dignitaries. It would also have some synergy with the Akimichi and Yamanaka businesses.

The compound probably already has plenty of equipment suitable for fermentation and distillation. We need to figure out where that ominous gurgling noise is coming from anyway.
Again, an inn or tavern is right up Mari's (and Tsunade's) alley.

Again, Jiraiya keeping the hat is critical to not dying, which means that Mountain absolutely must be first priority.
Are we going to follow through with the inn and tavern idea? Retired Mari has all the necessary skills, it would be source of income intel and light labor employment for the incoming civilians, and Orochimaru's compound must have all the equipment for fermentation and distillation.
I don't expect this to be remembered this time either, but pretty much the ideal job for Mari would be running an inn/tavern as a front for a spy network and gossip collection. A tavern needs a brewery, and a winery, and the basement is full of distillation equipment.

Hey @Lailoken, I know you feel unheard at times. At the very least I read and consider your ideas (at least when I'm actually able to keep up with the thread.)

That said, Mari has much better things to do than actually run an Inn right now. An Inn is a really useful property for the clan to have ASAP, but Mari is basically our entire source of subtlety at the moment.

It's going to be a while before things settle enough for her to be able to manipulate her spy network in an organized or centralized way. Plus, we all know she'll end up writing urban fantasy romance novels when she retires.

I still want to see how Ami reacted to the octocat. That has to be onscreen.

Yeah, if only we had some sort of impeccably loyal social-spec elite jounin with heiress training from the ultimate diplomat clan to fill that role while she healed. Nobody could have seen that coming and proposed a five-word two-minute solution to ensure it were the case...

That bitterness isn't directed at you. I appreciate the outreach.

I would be pretty stoked to see pretty much any scenes that go with the above premise but applied to "...thing Hazou [or the Hivemind] did." appended to the tail end there. :)
You can even swap out the Ami bit:
"I still want to see how the Hyuuga reacted to the loud explosions from the direction of the Goketsu estate every single day."

@eaglejarl, @Velorien, @OliWhail, a quick question about sealing research:

Does seal mastery, that mechanic where the more you infuse a seal the lower the TN is, use TNs in the order of magnitude of AugJEV or FtD? It's a big difference between 20 and 1000 infusions to mastery, after all.

As sweet/awkward/lovecraft-esque as that birthday was the thread brought up a point. As the pangolin summoner, is Keiko expected to pass doen her scroll to the Nara, her "birth" clan the Goketsu, or is she reserved the right to choose who inherits her scroll?
As Keiko mentioned during the scroll confrontation, it's legally her property rather than her clan's, and thus she is free to choose her heir.

Repurpose the top two floors as HQ for sealmaster/Technique Hacker/medic unions we create.
There are no buildings available with more than two floors. Even that is a sign of relative wealth. You could *take over* a two-story building, but that would be an entirely different matter.

Do the Nara now count as Keiko's clan for the purpose of sharing pangolin jutsu? Do all of ISC? Do the Gouketsu still count if new members are adopted?

Could you elaborate?
I believe the idea was "Fill out the necessary paperwork to guest lecture at the academy in about a week" (as per the last updates "You haven't yet done:" list, more or less ) but some of the context seems to have been edited away.

Could you elaborate?

@Vecht, would like to second this (except maybe for the XP part, because I dread to think what someone so resourceful will do with it). This is amazing.

Kagome gets to speak at the academy. So why not Hazo too? Expecting scheduling is next week with however long it takes to process our application and fitting us into a slot.

OK. If it's not too difficult, we'll use the basement then.

I feel like this is an easy fix somehow if you factor in chakrapunk assisted construction, so we might be able to brainstorm with Kenta about ways to do that.

Building up and down is a great way to get a buttload of mileage out of a plot of land.

It may be illegal to.

At which point this turns into Building Codes and Bureaucracies :p

I feel like a three to four stories building should be in the realm of possibilities for a medieval era building? I dunno. Not a historian.

Use a boatload of iron.*

*First, we must learn how to smelt quality iron good enough for construction. And testing. Lot and lot of testing.

All roofs are ninja strength standard.

So since it looks like we will be locked out of all the summoning contracts in leaf I think the summoning scroll conspiracy is due for a revival

Could the Iron Nerve be used to simulate Hysterical Strength? 100% or 50% of muscle power, that business.
