@Kiba it's probably a really good idea to tell Asuma about Issan. It's both important information he'll need to know and its a gesture of trust.
 
We can make (highly unwieldy and frame required on all sides) force wall backpacks. This will allow carrying a lot more material than storage seals at ninja speeds.

Isan isn't protected as a clan secret nor did Keiko get her hands on the summoning scroll alone. I think its really irresponsible not to tell the future hokage about an entire new hidden village. It will come back to bite us in the but if we don't tell him about it sooner rather than later.

Yes, if we were trying to DO things with or about Isan I would agree that we should get Keiko's buy-in but we're not doing that. We're simply giving information. If Asuma wants to do something about or with Isan after he's hokage, well international relations should be something where the Hokage's power exceeds that of clans.
 
If Asuma doesn't know about Isan he's probably not cleared to know, and once he becomes Hokage he'll definitely be briefed on the hithero-unknown original hidden village.

Hmm yeah I guess there'd be folk in the ANBU who know and would brief the new Hokage. I do think we should try and sell him on like specfic uplit ideas though, give him a reason to want to be hokage other than just "Hiashi can't be Hokage if I beat him"
 
Why are we not voting? Why there isn't more feedback for my action plan?

Also, I rejected the notion of informing Asuma about Isan given that he is not yet a hokage.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but that's an excellent way for us to use up the massive equipment stipend we get from all that clan money and skywalker royalties. Money which otherwise might go to waste. It's not like we really need thousands of kunai or anything.
On the other hand, we could use the equipment stipend to buy tons of ninja tools and uniforms and stuff and just give it all out to clanless nin for free. Huh, that might be an okay use too.

Would you be amenable to adding promising to give Amori tons of explosive and storage seals as one of Mari's potential weapons? We could use our equipment budget from the Tower to pay for it.

These are a lot harder to calculate, 3) especially as it includes the value of Pangolin combatants (multiple jounin at high levels), Pangolin trade and Pangolin techniques (acquired through trade or missions). I'm going to tentatively say it's roughly at the economic value of four clanless jounin plus the value of the pangolin gold contract that existed at the time the marriage was arranged, but with a hefty discount rate to account for the capriciousness and situational-ness of Summoning Contracts. The value of the techniques is immense but is handwaved into the relatively generous Pangolin trade calculation.

Net Present Value of 4 Clanless Jounin (R910,000 * 4) + Pangolin Trade (Moderately larger than the mortgage, we'll say ~R10 million / year) @ an annual discount rate of 20% and assuming a more conservative survival curve of 8 years = R52.3 million

Assuming 4 + 5 combined is worth about half of that, the total bride price would be in the vicinity of R121 million, though all of this is in the form of hours, favors, and other non-monetary (or perhaps just non-liquid? They may have given lands, properties, stakes in companies etc) benefits.

Alternatively (and I think this is more likely), Shikaku may have paid 50% of the NPV in favors and hours to be owed immediately and the other 50% to be paid out over time (but without discount rates, and adjusting for inflation) every year that Keiko remains a member of the Nara in good standing.

Hazou's hand in marriage is also quite valuable, as any founding clan that acquires him would also benefit from 1) + 2), plus his potential income as a Sealmaster and his ability to make Sharingan babies. Assuming a 50% chance he makes Chunin and a 20% chance he makes Jounin Sealmaster, Hazou's marriage NPV is even higher than Keiko's. Kagome's hand might be even more valuable still, since he is already a Chunin Sealmaster and gets royalties from the Skywalker production of other Sealmasters.

Get Hazo's agenda for the day sanity checked by Mari (and the clan, if available) beforehand; use Mari's advice and suggestions for the meetings. Don't blurt out OPSEC sensitive info(such as Goketsu's strategic moves).

For all:
  • Exchange condolences and commiseration. Confirm that they are voting for Asuma.
  • (if approved) Share that Goketsu secured deals for hat vote, but no specifics.
  • Inquire hosts on their read on Hiashi/Asuma as kage. Note: Don't ask Asuma on himself.
  • The rest is a social call unless there's something specific.
Asuma:
  • Inquire Asuma's plan for international diplomacy. Hazo is worried about a world war breaking out. Do Asuma have a game plan for continuing the peace?
  • Inquire what he hope to do to improve Konoha.
  • Suggestions for the future:
    • (Get Naruto's approval first) Naruto continues his leadership training by becoming a personal assistant to the kage or to that effect.
    • Focus more on economic development as till'n'fill. Ninja magic will help grow the economy faster and save more lives.
    • Educational reform. Kagome, Honoka, and Hazo's experience with education suggests villages' education system are probably all bad in their own way. Improving the academy will give Leaf an advantage.

  • [Secure Channel] Communicate to Naruto about the clan's effort to secure deals and ask Naruto what he has been up to.
  • Give Mari a broad toolkit she needed for negotiation with the Amori, such as a budget, support role training offer, trading preferences, specialty seal, etc. We want to secure a deal ASAP.
  • Accept the longer payment scheme for the Uchiha deal so that they are incentivized to keep us alive.

  • Work on land clearing's legal, economic, and operational aspects.

Accept longer scheme for the Uchiha deal, added back land clearing and a new TODO: Ami-style training. Rewrite communication to Naruto.

Wonder if I should get rid of [Secure Channel] and make it everything happen in Goketsu compound. Comment?

Perhaps it could be something like "Tell Mari that Hazou's personal experiences made the idea of giving up his children viscerally repulsive; but even so he should not have responded by laying down ultimatums to the hard work she's done.", or something like that?

To summarize, I don't think we should phrase our "apology" to Mari as such; we should explain our reasoning for our actions but acknowledge that our behavior was still not appropriate.

Might have some other thoughts, will read through.

Is there a good reason to conform to societal expectation of how a clan head like Hazo should behave?

It will confirm that Hazou isn't a completely naive idiot who needs to be replaced in the eyes of the Impending Mental Disaster that is Gouketsu Mari? That's my thoughts on it.

Though, if you are going to do an apology...I'd still reword it. FMPOV Hazou's concern wasn't so much the lack of connection with his future children, it was his reaction to the using of civilian women as broodmares and the selling of his own children for political profit, and the fact that he knows that he needs to get this deal (or something along those lines) to secure the Hat.
