Is it?

She knows that we haven't told Keiko about the meeting (there is a meeting).

On the other hand, I'm adamantly against broaching this topic (and anything mildly related to Keiko) directly at all during the conversation. Subtle allusions maybe but nothing so heavy handed.
*talks about Keiko*
Ami: By the way, you do realize that if you tell Keiko any of this she'll know you sought me out behind her back to talk to me, and then she'll kill you, right? ^_^
Hazou: *gulp*

It's fine if Keiko knows once she's safely back in Leaf and/or married to Shikamaru.

Honestly, it's fine if Keiko knows now. She just needs to not visit Ami and everyone will assume there's still shit going on between them.

Ami clearly disagrees, or she would've simply told Keiko "I need to pretend to cut ties with you temporarily due to clan politics.". I have strong doubts whether she's not letting her biases cloud her judgement, but this is the conclusion she arrived at. Would be strange if she changed her mind at the drop of a hat.

Why not just "Hazou uses his best judgement based on what he thinks Keiko would want"

That's absolutely asking the QMs to plan for us. Hazou doesn't have any special knowledge that lets him know what Keiko would want better than we do. In fact, we know more than he does, and therefore our decision should be better, at least in principle.

This doesn't really fix the problem.

I mean its nice and considerate, but I don't think thats the main priority here (if it was we wouldn't have scheduled a meeting).

It runs into issues of letting the QMs coinflip to make a decision for us, and given that Velorien is going to be writing this in all likelihood, I'll give you three guesses on how well that's going to turn out for us. :p

No, that's avoiding conflict between players. :p

[X] Kakashe and Anko's prank war.

Given that he was the sole survivor, J probably knows exactly what happened to the monkey summoning scroll. We have to find it and give them seals. Hordes of flying monkeys hurling misterators filled with feces is something that needs to happen.

Ino implied Asuma has it:
"Oh, Kiba, Kiba, Kiba...you really just aren't that bright, are you? I just reminded you that I studied under the son of the Third. You know what else the Third was aside from Hokage, Professor, and God of Shinobi? <...> The Monkey Summoner. Guess whose sensei got the scroll after the Third died?"
(Yes, Ino implying something in a public setting as part of a psywar tactic is not the most reliable source of information, but we work with what we have.)

What we've got is a clan head who is in a better position to know than literally anybody else. We just have to ask him.

Okay but consider Hazou's OPSEC track record and lack of pressing need to know. I'm not expecting we'd get an answer if we were to ask, and I'm not expecting that answer would be accurate if we were to get one.

We need to beg Jiraiya for Toad-variant training techniques. Maybe we can be lucky enough that they have an Athletics one or something.

So, on discord we've been talking about using international merchandising (via kitten plushes) for Keiko's fan club for our spy network, after we got done discussing using it to fuck with her. Something else brought up was the possibility of containing within those plushes black paper seals that record sound, for members of our spy network to use (triggered by pressure or something civilians can use).

It then occured to me that this is a potential way around the Chakra Dispersion Problem. If there are enough seals around to create a network, then the CDP stops being an issue.

Y'know, if we could rig the chakra detection seals to recognize the chakra of the infuser, or even just a specific person, or even just a specific person using some simple chakra-emission jutsu, we could probably combine them with Kagome's motion-sensors to make a mine which only lets one person pass and blows everybody else up. That'd make a heck of a fortification or area control weapon. Even just pairing it with a simple alarm seal would be very useful.

LBF v2?

Quick question, has the idea of A.I through seals ever been brought up in thread? What about seal programmed golems?

Yes and yes.

There's a heuristic with seal research: The more useful, complicated, or non-physicsy something is, the harder it is to make. If something is very complex and formal-sciencey, like AI, then it's probably beyond Jiraiya's level unless he abandoned all his other duties to work on it for multiple decades.

Aw man, probably shouldn't.....well I mean we are young...maybe later....

We could probably start with just binary memory, yes chakra and no chakra. Logic gates get more difficult.

We should just make sure Noburi and Hazo make a lot of babies later in life, which will translate to a lot of grandbabies later. It'll pay off in 60 years when we've got a ton of goketsu summoners to talk shop with. I'm sure we can make pretty speedy headway into Artificial intelligence if we throw enough clanmate sealmasters at it. surely.

Speaking of which, how old can a ninja get in setting? I would understand if we were just sticking with the general human lifespan but I just thought for the stronger, super healthy ninja in the world they'd likely have enhanced lifespans too. what would the upper limit be?

The problem is that ninja dies before reaching those ages. Even Sabutori didn't die of old age.

One summoner to summon scroll.

The issue is that taking care of a pile of kids is a massive drain on resources and a titanic pain in the ass.
