[X] Interlude: Kakashi Breaks Into Asuma's Apartment and Drinks His Beer.

Speaking of which, does anyone else think Neji might be getting some kind of 're-education' thing to make him not be sympathetic to Hazou?

Considering that we turned him shortly before going back to Leaf?

The whole world doesn't revolve around Hazou, you know. Hazou hasn't "turned" Neji. They're not even friends. He just offered some sympathy at a time when Neji was vulnerable, and it was accepted. I doubt the Hyuuga even know, and if they do, I strongly doubt they care very much.

Neji made a huge mess and left the Hyuuga with egg on their collective face. That's why he's being punished. There's no need for more complicated explanations. And it's not like we can do anything about it in any case.

Given that the last couple days Neji experienced before being Super Grounded were Hazou being sympathetic and us grabbing him something important to do (Team Bloodrage recon) in spite of his fuckup, I'm sure Neji remains friendly to us.

Remember: the annoying bit about this was that the minion conversion didn't even properly begin ! We should rectify this keep NPC agency in mind when befriending Kiba the Most Loyal Doggo!

There's a minion conversation? How do you get a minion anyway?

The following morning, you will receive the following note, delivered by a non-Mori courier.

Sure, I'd love to meet. See you at Yukizome's Experimental Cuisine at noon on the 25th. The location will only be secure for an hour, so don't be late! ^_^

For some reason, it sends a chill down Hazō's spine.
So, something we haven't discussed.

First: She sent a non-Mori courier.

Second: She spoke of the place being "secure" for an hour.

It follows that she's keeping his meeting on the down-low from the Mori.

Ayup.

Do you think she'd like to spill the beans on her current situation (and why she kicked Keiko out the door) when there aren't any Mori around?

Jiraiya tried to ask, but he went into the Mori compound to do so. Might've been partially why she was stonewalling him on the answer

Makes sense. So whatever she plans on saying (or thinks we'll say) is important. Possibly something about Keiko, possibly about alliance, maybe something else?

I strongly doubt that. What's the benefit of telling any of this to Hazou? The inevitable result is that Hazou tells Keiko, and Ami's plan is ruined. If she had a change of heart, then she undoubtedly has much better ways of contacting Keiko directly.

I suspect the reverse: that she believes Hazou might suspect it, and might talk about his suspicions openly. This information getting back to the Mori could cause a lot of trouble for Ami, up to and including ruining her plan for Keiko.

It's fine if Keiko knows once she's safely back in Leaf and/or married to Shikamaru.

Honestly, it's fine if Keiko knows now. She just needs to not visit Ami and everyone will assume there's still shit going on between them.

Is it?

She knows that we haven't told Keiko about the meeting (there is a meeting).

On the other hand, I'm adamantly against broaching this topic (and anything mildly related to Keiko) directly at all during the conversation. Subtle allusions maybe but nothing so heavy handed.

Why not just "Hazou uses his best judgement based on what he thinks Keiko would want"
