Just want to throw out there that I quite enjoyed the previous update and am not upset about things.

The almost-orgy was unfortunate, sure. We'll deal.

SNAFU and all that.

Yeah, the chapter didn't seem like it was being written as a Serious Event with Serious Consequences, so I find it hard to parse the 'embarrassing fiasco' as something that'll really hurt us down the road. If it was, I feel like the end of the update would have had a noticeably different tone.

On the other hand, from the sound of things, it would have been easily manageable had we actually attempted to do so. Unfortunately as it turns out we mostly did not, for reasons which are not entirely clear (a quick check back over the thread shows that at least one damage control measure - explaining the situation to the other guests - was proposed & agreed to by the plan-maker but didn't end up in the final version???). As such, it wouldn't be unreasonable for the tone to be light ("oh, what a silly misunderstanding, I'm sure it'll all be cleared up soon") but the consequences more severe in the absence of mitigation.

That said, IIRC there was a general principle of running all plans past Keiko prior to execution? If that applies here I'd imagine she might have noticed Hazou doing essentially zero damage control, even if the precise form it should take is beyond her expertise. I suppose we'll see.

This is pretty much the rough idea.

If theres no major opposition, I think we end up winning, right?

I thought our win condition was uplifting the people of the Elemental Nations, building a solid foundation for perpetual peace between villages, creating a more egalitarian society, and so forth. As opposed to genocide with the use of WMDs.

This is just progressing to level 2. We still have to kill Death, and then defeat Entropy.

E: Still, I don't think we have WMDs powerful enough for either, yet.

Thats a very short term win condition IMO. Immortality, True Resurrection and a Post Scarcity Society are more what I had in mind for the "I win at everything forever!" condition.

What can I say, I think small and in the very short-term. Once we achieve what I outlined, I'll be happy to move on to more esoteric goals.

Also: Note that was more for the sake of comedy and hyperbole than anything else. I am not, and will not be, seriously endorsing "Nuke the setting. No literally, nuke the whole damn thing." unless its an absolute last resort (no self replicating sealing failures!).

I see. So what you're saying is that is that I should switch up tone and content to prevent metagaming. Well. That'll make for some interesting chapters.

To be fair, every day we spend putting fires out in Leaf is another day that

AMI MORI, THE LOVE OF OUR LIFE

spends a few hundred kilometers away.:(

Level...Deceit...before attempting...Amimance

Listen, if you think there will be anyone left alive after my preemptive strikes to stand over our corpse, I am greviously hurt by the lack of trust.
Wait, if your preemptive strikes are going to take out Keiko and Tenten and Ami, won't that just leave Hazō standing alone in the middle of Mist feeling sad and confused?

Look, when I go for a preemptive strike I don't mess around with "enough." What makes you think there's going to be a "mist" to stand in the middle of while looking sad? Jury is already out on if there's going be a Hazou still alive and relatively uninjured to be standing around; I make no promises for stationary targets like cities.

The EN was always a crater.

No really, you need to be sure so attack through time itself as well.
