Unfortunately, your disguise kits seem to have gone missing -- maybe that invisible girl got them? Weird that she didn't take any of your other gear though.

So you're going with the memory wipe then? Meh, kind of boring. Hard to show that. Might be funny if only seal masters remember henge. At least there'd be something to show that way, and seal masters would probably be motivated to shut the hell up about it when they realize what's going on.

If we break everyone else's legs in round one, then they persist or we rebreak them in round 2
Assume we can set up situations once we have broken everyone's legs such that we control scoring for everyone.

Everyone who is on our round 1 red team is on other blue team in round 2
We gain 125 pts relative to them
Everyone who was our opponent in round 1 is not our opponent in round 2
We gain 810 pts relative to them

Everyone who is on our round 2 blue team is on other red team in round 1
We gain 325 pts relative to them
Everyone who is our opponent in round 2 was not in round 1
We gain 645 pts relative to them
Everyone Else is Other / Other
We gain 720 pts relative to them

By this strategy, there are 12 people (6 others on our red team, 6 others on our blue team) who we are not guaranteed to cream
There was a 400 point gap between leader and us in the last round. We were in the lead before. We are, at minimum 13-15 place on the score sheet.

In all likelihood, Mist biases place us with relatively weak companions in the first round. Assuming they got average (zero points) last round, we are likely on even footing with them, or slightly in the lead anyway. In the second round, more likely to place us with teams they want to see go to the finals, or that can non-lethally and indefinitely incapacitate us.

This strategy is guaranteed to see us to the finals, so long as we can execute and we are not thrown out of the exams by doing it.
Might ruffle some feathers of STL. Will try to do some numbers considering not breaking their legs. I suppose. Sigh.

If penalties for Moderate and Serious consequences don't stack, the analysis will change.

If the QMs let us do that, we should definitely do so. It saves them spoons, and helps us by giving us an accurate map.
Also gives us something to plan with, so a little bit better micromanaging.
Meh.

If you're talking about the interior, I don't think so.

It's too variable.

Finally someone sees what I'm talking about!!

You're absolutely right, numerically of course. I think this would be *quite* a fucking challenging feat to pull off in reality. Mainly, in Round 2 everyone might be so mad that they try to break our legs! Can't let that happen.

Edit: But one team of Reds in Round 1 and 2 Teams of Blue is definitely doable.

Alternatively, the proctors and Kages decide they really don't want literally all of their ninja crippled for the rest of their life and disqualify us just as we're making clear that we intend to literally break everyone's legs.

E: otherwise it's a fantastic plan and we should definitely do it.

I still want clarification on that Severe Consequences rule. The QM silence on it is kind of damning. Then again, the rules may change a bit when the update drops.

No this should take like a month to heal max with mednin assistance.

It'll make it REAL FRIGGIN HARD for them to get any training done during the break!

I'd like to humbly propose that we proceed under the assumption that intentional Severe Consequences will result in a DQ beyond a certain point, for now.

Just saw an error I committed - Team reshuffles ensure that you don't work with someone you worked with before. It is plausible, and likely, that in round 2 you will oppose 1 opponent you faced in round 1. This is consistent with the provided rules, and affects some of my analysis.

It is impossible to do otherwise for all 4 pairings of red/blue 3 squad teams.

*opens plan*

*cntrl+F "Severe" *

*replace with "Moderate"*

Fixed, pending more rule edits

Here's @Adept_Woodwright's analysis without giving anyone serious consequences or hurting those on our own team.

This doesn't seem right...

If we inflict Moderate Consequences to our opponent team I believe we also lose the points for the penalty?

All I ask is that by the time we eliminate all effective opposition we then take the time to loot all the corpses gear of our fallen opponents.

This is actually ingenious. Any prep they will have done will be erased by our seisure of their assets.

But I almost guarantee the proctors wouldn't let it fly.

A thought: The current rules don't specify if the Consequences have to be Physical. We should be careful to ensure that we don't accidentally inflict Social Consequences on our current teammates in the process of ... ensuring our alliance.

I believe that's only for severe consequences?
True! Remark rescinded.

I believe this goes against simulationist mechanics. How would the proctors know at a glance that we've rattled anyone, psychologically speaking?

Also, if this is the case... That's rather weird since it seems to go against the purpose of the event.

I lied. Anyone who was on our red team will have the highest points.

Those on our red team in first round: 40

Edit:
Which puts us only 275 points above them. Which is still pretty good IF we only have low scorers on our team in the first round.

Probably not. Word halves, on the other hand... It even makes sense in fiction - if you get captured, you give up all of your important intel, which word halves are supposed to represent.

We should destroy those immediately, of course.

I'll admit I didn't calc the points spread out beyond a rough back of the envelope in my head, but this is absolutely fantastic!!

No, we might get extra points back for them.

We don't know how "Event 1" is supposed to end. We may actually get points for keeping or collecting the word halves.

Speaking of intel:

Would anyone object to (In Round 1) capturing an enemy Blue and torturing them for specifics of their defense strat?

Nothing large or too bad, just have Keiko play the finger-knife game with them and have her break a finger or two.
