Do we think we can explode our way out with the directional explosives we have? And if so, do we have a rough guess of how many holes we can make?
If you mean breaking through a wall, you should be able to do that with a few exploding tags. Given time and patience, there's no reason why you couldn't bring the whole building down.

But would those foundations be enough for the creation of actual walls with MEW? If we have access to cement and it blocks chakra manipulation I would like to know about such an asset.
Cement exists, although it wasn't necessarily used in the construction of this building. It blocks MEW, and probably similar techniques, but you have no way of knowing if it blocks chakra manipulation in general.

In the interests of influencing QMs into making Shadow Clone forks recombine (if they have not already made a set-in-stone decision that they don't):

The XP-economy needn't be completely unbalanced by Mass Shadow Clone Technique. You could easily make it so that each shadow clone gives only +1XP/day to a maximum of +3 or something to represent that the memories blend together and get confusing after a certain point.

Instead of just having each clone earn as much XP as the original, and giving us S-rank in a week.
Thanks. I've added it to the QM discussion list.

@Radvic if Noburi senses someone in range to be mist drained might consider having him drain if they don't have crazy large reserves

Kagome invented the explodey-axe. If you want to take your time getting out is not going to be a problem. If you want to get out fast, duck into a dome and apply more than the structural binding energy to every particle of the building simultaneously until there stops being a building around you. The latter is more entertaining and distracting. A reputation among the Yakuza for reasonable negotiations backed by truly prodigious, jaw-dropping overkill might not be a bad thing. J would probably also appreciate all evidence of the safehouse being incinerated and spread over a couple of square kilometers before we leave.

I can't help but feel that a lot of energy is going into planning ways to blow up an empty house with no one around.

It seems rather unlikely that Yakuza assassin lady hung around.

[X] Action Plan: Blow this popsicle stand (Speed)
We're up against a Jōnin. She's scary. RUN. Prioritize getting out of here above all else, under the assumption that the enemy is readying something horrible just out of our line of sight. Following minimal preparation, throw all seal-based things we can manage while blasting out of here through the least-suspicious wall at maximum speed, using skywalkers freely.

If we break contact rejoin the team ASAP and report to J. about what happened.

:Non-binding suggestions link

Current winning plan seems at odd with the suggestion list which required Hazō and Noburi to do a lot of different things.

If you can tell me what means of coordination she could have employed with her team - bearing in mind that combat time was ticking and there was a jōnin about to attack - feel free.
I do not think that my response to "Unknown Technique - nothing appears to be happening" is "run at person and sword them." It is "bug out/bunker down and wtf did that do". When I see someone use a technique and then don't see a result, my immediate thought is "mind control". I'd have been wrong since it was poison, but mind controlling allies to look like enemies is the oldest trick in the book and I should not try to sword the team cleric disguised by an enemy technique as the enemy. So I call for defenses - and we get air domes and earth walls to protect us, which then provides support for not-mind-control since it's less likely that the enemy mind controller would know the exact defenses to include in the illusion. We end up protected while we experience the initial onset of poison. Then purifiers and gtfo.

...oh shit, and Kagome. He swore. He swore. We're not going to be able to stop him. A member of the team was killed. After we deep-end sold him on team loyalty. The one he specifically swore his everything to. He'll do it this time. He's going to do that thing I calculated with the degenerate white dwarf matter to squish boom all the stinkers at once, and put the seal that does it on the outside of a MEW 5-barrier box containing only the rest of our team. We're going to wake up tomorrow on a barren lifeless continent.

Well this is awkward. And slightly funny.

@Kurkistan Could you edit that part of your plan to coincide with the list of suggestions?

In the meantime...

[X] Action Plan: Blow this popsicle stand (Speed) EDITED

Our #1 priority is to get out of here ALIVE, and ensure that the skywalkers don't fall into enemy hands.

Summary:
  • Make sure you can sufficiently continue.
  • Recover Minami's body.
  • Prep for an escape into the sky with skywalkers. Avoid battle and ground travel as much as possible.
  • Reunite the team ASAP and report to J and team.
Non-Binding Suggestions:
  • While in the house:
    • Dispel
    • Prevent poison/injuries from affecting us:
      • Medical Ninjutsu.
      • Henge into ourselves without poison/injuries from poison.
      • Purifier Seals (+ Tunneler's Friend) for poison/smoke.
        • Slip them under a piece of cloth (from clothes?) and tie around face to breathe.
    • Prevent ourselves from being killed.
      • MEW the doorway the ninja left out of. Chakra-construct MEW should suffice.
      • Consider letting clones do work to seal Minami/prep our escape, while we hide in a barrier.
        • Activate Misterators inside the dome.
        • Create clones (Earth or Water, it doesn't matter). Give them appropriate seals for grunt work.
        • Activate a second Air Dome within the first, such that clones are between the two domes.
        • Clones deactivate the outermost Air Dome.
    • Check for ninjas in/out of the building.
      • Misterators.
      • Living Roots.
    • Put Minami in storage scroll
      • Take her seals off her person first - no need for seal-pocalypse yet
      • We're taking the seals with us, BTW.
    • Prep our escape:
      • Use MEW and directional explosives to sculpt charged blasts for escape purposes
        • Arm multiple blasts in different directions (different walls, the roof...).
      • Reset an Air dome barrier for extra defense when we blow holes in the walls
      • Prepare banshee slayers for use if we need to drop ear busters
      • Make clones for distraction (see below). Give them seals they need
      • Grab any seals we used; don't leave them lying around.
      • Top off Hazou.
    • Blow holes in the walls/roof and initiate leaving sequence. 3-5 holes depending on structural integrity of the house itself.
  • Leaving Sequence:
    • Have Noburi check through the mist for chakra signatures: drain enemies he senses dry.
      • Do this in conjunction with everything else.
    • Send clones out through each opening as distractions:
      • Clones are in pairs, with Henge as necessary to look like us.
      • Use Misterators to provide cover/lay a trail.
      • Suicide with fire-log macerators.
    • Run through the opening farthest away from the enemy.
      • Break for the forest. CHAKRA BOOST
      • Use Skywalkers to stay near the top of the smoke/mist. Don't actually break over cover unless we have to.
      • Throw additional fire-log macerators/Misterators to increase cover.
    • Once in tree cover, move upwards and to the sky.
      • Throw some fire-log macerators for more cover/block pursuit ala Hot Springs.
  • While running through the sky:
    • Get above clouds if possible
    • Don't stop
    • Go towards the meeting place for Akane's group
  • When reporting with Akane's group:
    • Explain everything we did, including our escape methods and Minami's death
    • Suggest immediately sending a report to Jiraiya
    • Accept Akane's leadership (she was Minami's chosen second in command)
Contingencies:
  • Noburi KO's enemy Jonin via Vampiric Dew (while we're escaping):
    • Keep running.
    • Dump more Misterators.
    • Make sure nobody else is in the area. If that's the case:
      • Send clones down to dislocate the Jonin's shoulders/legs/etc. then Skywalk back to catch up with us.
        • Clones should have explosive tags to self-destruct/destroy Skywalkers at the first sign of trouble.
      • Restrain her completely:
        • Re-drain her (at range).
        • Clones tie her up + remove anything that can be used against her.
      • Hazou carries Jonin with constant contact/drain from Noburi.
  • The enemy is gaining on us:
    • Break OPSEC, Skywalk straight up (not too literally).
    • Dodge attacks with...well, Skywalkers.

Are we going to have issue with the smoke? Might want to add gasmask to the list.

Also, what is the surrounding like?

Better safe than sorry.
Not assuming J killed M.
Honestly, I worry that whatshername is waiting right outside the house for us to leave for ambush.
That's a dangerous
If so, the best move is likely "hunker down, vaporize everything in 300 meters"
assumption to make.
If she's not waiting there, and we blow up the everything in the vicinity, what's the worst that happens? Whoever subverted J's agent knows that [the person giving our orders] likely supports a scorched-Earth policy. Possible connection to our faked deaths when Leaf/Hot Springs was chasing us?
Not much we can do
...
if J did kill M, anyway.
Didn't we use a crazy big explosion for that?
It'll be Kabuto all over again, but worse.
...Hmmm...

I know, right? Y'all should stop worrying about it and just walk calmly out the door in single file. Sure, I'm feeling grumpy about not getting to write any fun punching for months, but I'm sure there's nothing dangerous out there right now and you absolutely should not be concerned at all. Honest. Really. I pinky swear and everything.

We need to invent teleportation. -_-
Oh, and before that one guy who objected to us not thinking about skywalkers enough pipes in-
- we need to invent a way to block that teleportation.
-- and a way to evade that block.

I'd suggest avoiding misterators and drain if at all possible. This was almost certainly Mari, but on the off chance that it was Yakuza the last thing we want to do is give them Intel they might pass on, especially if they're employing a Must jounin who is likely still observing. Skywalkers would be less of a concern.

This is silly. It's not Mari.

Have people learned anything from cute murder-girl and farmer wife?

How have you been handling seal use until now then? Not with some kind of inventory tally? Just with "Hazou and Kagome make a shitton of seals in their free time and so everyone has 'enough' for non game-breaking purposes"?
Anyone know how many burning log macerators we have?
@eaglejarl @Velorien @OliWhail

Reminded to ask from discord: what is our current seal loadout? How many of each seal do we have on Noburi, Hazou, and Minami? Especially relevant seals:
burning-log macerators
Misterators
Air Domes
Storage Seals
PMYFs
Purifiers
Tunneler's Friends
Skywalkers
Ear-busters
Banshee Slayers
Implosion Seals (and what size)
Until now we haven't been tracking these, just assuming you had a reasonable number of whatever and a boatton of explosives. Given the interest we'll start keeping an inventory. The inventory of a particular seal will only increase if you vote for Hazō to make some of that seal (or if we believe that Kagome would automatically make you some) and if there are resources to make them. "Resources" means time, paper, ink, etc. It takes an average of 5 minutes to create a blank and as a general rule we are not going to spend spoons on assigning different times to different seals.

IMPORTANT: Unless explicitly noted otherwise, seals are one-use items. Some seals, including storage seals, can be reused a number of times, but will eventually need replacing. Note that macerators in general are reusable but misterators get soaked and burning-log macerators are incinerated.

To keep things simple we'll assume that Hazō, Akane, Noburi, and Keiko all have the same current inventory -- you probably redistributed at the start of the mission to balance out the numbers.

Explosive seals: 300
Burning log macerators: 5
Misterators: 5 each, Noburi has 10
Macerator, 'chunky, not moving' (dice vegetables) (reusable): 1
Macerator, 'thumb-sized chunks moving fast' (projectile) (reusable): 1
Macerator, 'super-fine and moving fast' (dust cloud) (reusable): 1
Air Domes (paired seal): 3 pairs
Storage scrolls (reusable): 20
PMYFs (reusable): 10
Purifiers: 3
Tunneler's Friends: 10
Skywalkers (can be de/reactivated repeatedly but expire when their max use time is reached): 200 [about 40-50 continuous hours]
Ear-busters: 1
Banshee Slayers: 3
Implosion seals: 0
Directional explosives: 0
Force Walls: 0
LBF: 0

You don't know what Kagome's loadout is, but you suspect he may have more explosives than you do.

@Kurkistan Could you edit that part of your plan to coincide with the list of suggestions?

Yeah, that disconnect had been coming to my attention as well.

I'm not sure if I should be altering my plan to be more cautious, though. When I wrote up my "example plans" I was pretty clear on them being extremes on the speed-preparation-OPSEC axes (I called "preparation" risk-aversion but preparation is the better word). If we followed everything in the NBS list then that's definitely put us at more of an even mix of speed and prep, with OPSEC still left uncared for.

If I were a QM interpreting the plan I'd probably place emphasis on the "following minimal preparation" bit and only do the highest-priority things before we blow the wall(s).

So if the thread wants a plan that sacrifices time for prep and does everything they can think of before running, then that should just be a new plan entirely.
-Though myself I'd probably avoid tacking EDITED onto the end, and either rename the whole thing or replace (Speed) with (Prep&Speed) or the like.

No, unfortunately the SV tally bot does not provide a convenient way to cancel votes. I'm agitating to make it happen but for now you need to either delete the vote or strikethrough the line marker:

[X] This vote has been canceled.

I'd have been wrong since it was poison, but mind controlling allies to look like enemies is the oldest trick in the book and I should not try to sword the team cleric disguised by an enemy technique as the enemy.
In this world, mind control = genjutsu, and you respond to it by dispelling, not by bunkering down. You could argue that Minami should have dispelled instead of attacking, but she was facing a ninjutsu user - leaving her alone to perform more ninjutsu would have been a greater risk than assuming that out of the entire genjutsu possibility space the jōnin had picked "Confuse you as to which way you're facing and make your teammate look like me".

Edit: To recap the danger of leaving ninjutsu users time to cast, the jōnin's first technique nearly caused a TPK on its own, and the second allowed her to passively one-shot the party's strongest fighter and was still in effect afterwards.

So I call for defenses - and we get air domes and earth walls to protect us, which then provides support for not-mind-control since it's less likely that the enemy mind controller would know the exact defenses to include in the illusion.
She doesn't need to know which defences to include in the illusion. Either this is a general illusion and the jōnin has put you in an illusory world (in which case she won't let you signal your allies) or she's controlling one specific aspect of your experience, in which case you'll be seeing the real defences.

We end up protected while we experience the initial onset of poison. Then purifiers and gtfo.
This shouldn't be a tactical consideration because you don't know about the poison until you've already made your decisions. Besides, by the time you've set up your purifiers you're all on B-class wounds and you've given the ninjutsu user more time to prepare uninterrupted.
