"Hm. I would like you to continue working with Candoru until he finally acquires a bit of basic awareness of reality. He is young but a relatively effective combat summon. If you require more combat power, I'm sure there are dogs who would be interested in exploring another world. Beyond that, what are your needs?"

Technically we are allowed to find other dogs for combat by just asking around, so I would want to ask Cannai about the diplomat dog.

We don't really know what counts as a diplomat among the dogs, but someone has to have traveled to the other "friendly" clans (Bear/Hornet/Hare).

[X] Training Noburi: Basics
Akimichi Chakra Enhancement Technique (30 XP)
Athletics 40 (190 XP)
Alertness 36 (201 XP)
Water Dragon Bullet 32 (31.5 XP)
??? 3 (2.5 XP)
save 0 XP

What about:

[X] Training Noburi: Basics 2
Akimichi Chakra Enhancement Technique (30 XP)
Athletics 40 (190 XP)
Hōzuki's Mantle 30 (127.5 XP)
Alertness 33 (96 XP)
save 11.5 XP

Hōzuki's Mantle gives a bonus to his whip (level/3) and at 30 has 0 penalty to athletics.

[X] Shadow Clone SOP: FOOM
  • Dedicate all clones to training Resolve.
  • Number of training blocks = 3 + (current Resolve - 20)/3
    • Add 1 training block at Resolve 40 and Resolve 80
    • Add 1 training block at SC 40, 50, ...
    • If SC >= 40, have as many clones do 3 training blocks as possible, and any overflow pop themselves once done training.
  • Spend FP to reroll -9/-12 on the dice iff there's something important (high-stakes social event, field missions, etc.) the next day.
    • Goal: prevent Mild Consequence.
  • If you take Consequences, lay off training proportionally.
    • Currently (while Resolve < 60), taking a Mild Consequence means using 3 less clones until it's healed.
    • Currently (while Resolve < 30), taking a Medium Consequence means using 3 less clones until it's healed.
    • Currently (while Resolve < 30), taking a Severe Consequence means using 4 less clones until it's healed.
    • Note that the latter two should be impossible from SC alone under this SOP alone.
SOP updated with rules for taking it easier on training while Consequences are up, also specification that FP should only be spent if there's something important the next day (to address FP expenditure concerns). Note that under current conditions, we'll be taking a Mild about 1 in 16 days, so the gang will be spending 2 days a month with mild headaches.

Also, consider voting for the Keiko Resolve training plan (in the linked post) so that she can get 1 more clone and up her XP rate to ~1.4x. (EDIT: Also, the current SC training plan for Keiko is invalid since she already bought SC 30)

Could someone please describe what a FOOM-containing day would look like in-universe, step by step? I'm having trouble visualising various points.

It will most definitely involve bringing Noburi his favorite snack as a thank you for being so incredibly awesome. Wait, Kagome stop grabbing my pen, I've only got a few seconds until the rift closes. Hazou said it would probably be fine, remember?

Stop screaming I'm not gonna destroy space and time, I'm just writing a harmless-

This is my best understanding of it, if anyone else has something to add/contest, feel free to share your own understanding.

Starting from a new day with full chakra:
  • No real need to wait for a specific training time, just do it whenever's most convenient.
  • Go to a place deemed moderately safe from observation, as safe as can be attained without itself drawing attention.
    • Personal quarters might be suitable, or an underground training room, or a space outside of Konoha. Avoid training in public, if nothing else.
  • Cast Shadow Clone with as many clones as you need and leave.
    • If you need a chakra refill to get all the clones you need (note: which shouldn't be necessary for Akane or Keiko yet), cast at full capacity and then head out and get a refill and come back.
  • Leave and go about normal daily activities (including normal training separate from the shadow clones) while the clones train in seclusion.
    • The nature of training may have an effect on which quarters are suitable. Resolve training, as I understand it, is mostly meditation, which could be done in any room, while Ranged Weapons training would require space, tools, and targets to work with, and may instead be most suitable to an excursion to the Forest of Death.
  • At the end of the clone training session, all the clones pop themselves without Prime returning to their training room.
    • To coordinate, one clone can pop first, which should be an easy success given that only a small fraction of the total clone-hours are in play, and that happening can coordinate Prime to be ready for the rest to pop.
  • After all the clones are popped, Prime continues on as if nothing had had happened.

@Paperclipped et al

Ok, so I think we need to wait until the Jiraiya's Notes Sidequest is done before having Akane SC train.
