I just worry that suggesting casual dates with our clanmate/good friend/first love might give an incorrect impression, and also isn't likely to work. Even just phrasing it as "want to be mindful of the pace, so we don't rush into it and remake prior mistakes" would be better, imo.

  • Hazou sets his affairs in order before starting Summoning training.
    • Arrange for Mari, Gaku, or one of their subordinates to take over things Hazou would be doing during the training period (projects, meetings, etc.).
      • Hazou still expects daily briefings on important events and things that require Clan Head input.
  • The Talkwith Akane. In addition:
    • Hazou and Akane clearly still have feelings for each other.
      • But right now Summoning training would get in the way of any kind of relationship. Akane deserves better.
      • What does she want to do? You won't and can't decide what should happen alone.

    • Share the concept of FOOM with Akane, in high-security conditions.
      • Convey both the kind of benefits she could gain from it and the importance of keeping it secret from the likes of Orochimaru.
  • Game night
    • Have a casual game night. Make sure to invite Sasuke and other peers.
    • Have a fun and relaxed time.
  • Misc
    • Have the clan track down and offer adoption to the family of telescope merchants/manufacturers.
      • Failing that, buy three telescopes.
    • During summoning training, inquire in particular about what other Leaf summon clans think about the Dogs.


Changelog:
  • We share FOOM with Akane instead of vaguely alluding to the value of SC, as per my suggestion for maximum safety.
  • Porcupine Scroll line removed, as I think it's best if we leave that be.
  • Re-worded Akane section, to streamline it and (I feel) convey the key points more clearly.
These aren't ironclad changes, but each of them I feel is better than Oneiros' plan, to a varying degree.

Maybe make it an "and/or" instead of an "or," just to be absolutely sure it's not interpreted as an exclusive or? Wouldn't want Hazou to give all Clan Head duties to some random subordinate :p

I say 'the likes of Orochimaru' to both highlight that it should be kept secret from more than just him, while highlighting Orochimaru as the worst-case scenario of it getting out. But you're right that I can be more general. How about this?
  • Convey both the kind of benefits she could gain from it and the importance of keeping it secret.
    • It'd be very bad if someone like Orochimaru learned of it.

I'd suggest to separate this bit from the rest with a horizontal line or something. Mostly for the sake of streamlined readability.

One wonders if that water and bloodline might not be related to even their children being capable of absurdly sophisticated sealwork interfacing with them...

Perhaps it in some metaphysical fashion makes the summoner, scroll, and clan the same entity? Keiko's scroll did actively spit out Hazou's blood, and the experiences had some resemblance to the entity in the Frozen Skein. It might also explain the, "bijuu can't be summoners" thing. Would the effects on Hazou have been different if he had downloaded somebody else's scroll, or one which was unassigned? Would the unassigned one still be linked to the previous owner in the afterlife-

We cannot let Noburi sign the Toad scroll! Give him the dog scroll! We need to look into this.

...we're probably going to need to get Orochimaru involved in this. He's the only one we know of who might have any practical experience. Nara, Mori, Wakahisa, and seventh path background reference may be necessary.

Don't care, let's hack this thing and summon Jiraiya.

Though, if we needed Shikaku's handwriting, we could probably declare that his notes to Noburi (and anything else written down) from the ISC game night are still mixed into our Tabletop stuff...

Surely the Nara Public Library would have some sort of documents that he had written in it, so we would just need to spend a day scouring through that to find something.

You don't think big enough.

Create a plan that optimizes Hazou's suffering and incurred mental traumas/day until he awakens the Sharingan.

Forging signatures happens to be just one of the things it can do.
