[X] action plan: leafs falling slowly to the ground
Timeline: till Noburi completes his summoner training
- Hazou sets his affairs in order before starting Summoning training.
- Arrange for Mari, Gaku, or one of their subordinates to take over things Hazou would be doing during the training period (projects, meetings, etc.).
- Hazou still expects daily briefings on important events and things that require Clan Head input.
- The Talkwith Akane
- Hazou and her clearly still have feelings for each other
- But with Summoning training if they got back together Hazou would be a terrible boyfriend
- Also neither one of them has ever been in a relationship with anyone else.
- plus they feel for each other in the most traumatic time in there lives
- So Hazou proposes that after he finishes summoning training that they go on a series of casual dates
- Just to ease back into a potential relationship without putting to much stress on either of them
- Game night
- Have a casual game night. Make sure to invite Sasuke and other peers
- Have a fun and relaxed time
- casually let Sasuke know that if he makes a play for the porccupine scroll that we will back him. It'd be nice to have a friend to study with
- Misc
- Buy three telescopes. One for our use, one for study and another to be taken apart by our craftsmen
Taking this entirely seriously, I don't see how it'd be. The Youthsuit Incident was characterized by Hazou unilaterally deciding to go crazy, whereas the literal first thing this plan does is asking Mari for approval. And, again, taking this seriously, Mari isn't going to let this proceed if it'll actually have grave consequences. Not to mention that it hinges on Noburi and Akane's cooperation as well.I swear to Jashin, this better not be Youthsuit 2: return of jafar

See this. But good catch not checking with MariExactly why we're making a political move without consulting Mari, and during a supposedly stress free gaming night no less? What is our reasons for backing Sasuke, as opposed to our other allies?
If you can fix/justify that, I'll vote for ya.
Because he's a powerful but isolated political player that needs to become an S-rank ninja. This way we can get long term influence over him and ultimately tie him even closer with 7th path chakra water.
Romcom is chaos, and the plan will go off the rails immediately. Nonetheless, it has its rules. Trust it, let it sweep you up, and navigate its tides towards your destination.
Ask (Keiko) for advice on polyamory: she's clearly an expert on the topic.
Haru: Pass Ino a letter, unsigned but implied to be from Tenten,
*Long, high pitched, panicked, screaming in Kagome*
By backing Sasuke and going to the Founders Day Parade with him, we increase his status from "Neutral Party" to "Probably Allied Party".
Now it'll only happen if Mari takes the initiative, and she'll only do that if it won't actually blow up in our faces.
Bring Mari the write-up below. Try to present it as a serious plan, but reveal it's a joke once she finishes reading.
- Contingency: If she refuses to acknowledge its non-serious nature and insists it must be done, let her. Accept any "improvements". Just make sure it actually aims to accomplish its stated goal.
Excellent idea, although I'll need to figure out how to make it non-treasonous first.@Noumero, can you add Hazou forging Shikamaru's signature and writing a letter from him to Shiori? I'm not sure what it would contain but I'm sure it'd be a wonderful addition under your watchful eye.
edit: no no no wait! Forge Shikaku's signature and write a letter from him to Shikamaru!
Look, the last time Mari had carte blanche, we almost took over KEI.
*waffles*We are trying to convince a third party to take the scroll from Asuma
Okay, now it's five telescopes. Two more than in @Oneiros' plan!
Done, conditional on you exclusively voting for my plan. Edit: Amend that, the vote needs not be exclusive. How about you adopt/buyout/move the family that's making telescopes instead?
[x] Action Plan: The Warlock of the Romcom Gods
Word count: TBO
Humor index: 80+% serious.
- Bring Mari the write-up below. Try to present it as a serious plan, but reveal it's a joke once she finishes reading.
- Contingency: If she refuses to acknowledge its non-serious nature and insists it must be done, let her. Accept any "improvements". Just make sure it actually aims to accomplish its stated goal.
- Outline:
- High concept: You've had innuendos used against you enough. Time to weaponize them.
- Goal: Get Keiko to spill the truth on the Five.
- Aspect Bonus: You're blessed by Lord Jashin, the god of love, and therefore of romcom. It'll work.
- Romcom is chaos, and the plan will go off the rails immediately. Nonetheless, it has its rules. Trust it, let it sweep you up, and navigate its tides towards your destination.
- Execution:
- Arrange a games night, the last time you'll relax before starting to study Summoning. Invite the usual invitees, make sure to invite Keiten Shiomaru. Don't forget Sasuke.
- Noburi: Make sure Yuno is seen by Shiori in her current state ("shaken, watches her words"). Then take her and leave the building, so she isn't available to explain.
- Invent a melodramatic excuse, then go on a private date, far from ground zero.
- Hazou: Approach Shiori. Does she know what Keiko did to that foreigner girl Yuno in the Nara dungeon?
- You heard Yuno's culture empathizes purity, and she came back positively haunted.
- When you last saw Keiko, after she ordered Yuno there, she was talking about violations and how the Nara Clan's leadership has illicit goals— desires? Which it hides from everyone, even other Nara? And something about using corrupted creatures not of this world as implements?
- You'd ask her yourself, but you're kind of intimidated. Can Shiori accompany you?
- (sotto voice, conspiratorially) Also, she'd said she'd make sacrifices to not let this get out. Maybe Shiori can use this?
- Akane, simultaneously with Hazou: Take Keiko into a private room.
- Ask her for advice on polyamory: she's clearly an expert on the topic. Yes, Hazou has someone in mind. They'll be arriving shortly.
- Once Shiori and Hazou enter and Shiori starts going about the dungeon, yell at Hazou that he's moving too fast and chase him into the adjacent room.
- Ideally, they'll shout at each other. Listen in.
- If you're discovered, invoke the appropriate romcom trope.
- Haru: Pass Ino a letter, unsigned but implied to be from Tenten, asking to help her get closer to Shikamaru during a game. He's her girlfriend's husband, but she feels like she barely knows him...
- Mention a "distraction" she'd "arranged" that would be Ino's cue to intercede.
- (Ideally, it'll keep them distracted.)
- Mari: Run interference. Keep plates spinning.
- Contingency: If Keiko's about to kill you, plead that you were only trying to bring Ami back. Surely so much chaos will summon her?
- Be ready if that really happens.
- Study Summoning for the next three months. Mari's the replacement Clan Head, but ask her to let Akane and Noburi practice too.
- Have the clan track down and adopt the family of telescope merchants/manufacturers.
I mean, Tsunade's shtick is kind of "Super powerful and useful but no one likes her because she's a gigantic asshole even by ninja standards" so that checks outYou know, I'm fine with ninja being uncomfortable, unbelieving, or really skeptical when Hazou tries to sell them on Uplift, but Tsunade's hypocrisy really is disgusting.
"Hey we want to support Asuma for Hokage because he won't discriminate against the human decency of civilians and non-clan ninja. Also your nephew thinks he'll be better."
"Sorry kid, I can't hear your argument over all of this bribe money Hyuuga gave me for my hospital. Talk to me when you've got some cash."
"Hey, so we want to implement some of those ideas you had on how to actually make a difference in making people safer and healthier. Also here's a million dollars so that you can keep doing that in your hospital. Would you like to help people together?"
"You suck, your ideas suck, and I'm going to casually shoot my murder eye beamz at you"
"But those were your ideas....ok, fine. how about these other ways to help people?"
"My murder murder kill powers means I don't have to listen to your logic or your idealism."
Ugh. What a horrid woman. At least she's sending someone to the clinic. I'm 100% ok with never having any on-screen interactions with her again
