[X] Action Plan: Leaves on the tree

@Inferno Vulpix, while there is still some space left, could you add (under the Misc section?) asking Tsunade about the Dog Clan, perhaps also what the Slugs think of them? According to teen Jiraiya notes the Dog scroll was in Leaf (or in the hands of an ally I guess, but my money would be on Kakashi's father) even back then.

You seem to forget about 'don' t you dare to steal Naruto's place as Clan Head' speach. It was pretty visual too iirc
Assuming you're referring to the time I think you're referring to, he was saying "Don't dare try to prevent me from recovering Naruto". He actually explicitly said "You and Naruto can sort out which of you is Clan Head."

I feel like that's naturally going to be part of our summoner training, given that we know summoner training includes learning the culture of the clan and stuff. Do you think there's something additional we might learn by adding something like that?

Tsunade is going to teach us what she thinks is relevant, so we should ask some more specific questions. "Dog's work good in groups" isn't really a useful explanation about them as a society. I also would like to get some other summoning clans opinions, Jiraiya never mentioned that the Pangolin had a bad rap for being aggressive for example.

Doesn't really have to be in this update, but as long as we have plan space I would like to use the timeskip so that Hazou actually learns something.

Good point. How would this look?
  • Misc
    • Have the clan track down and offer adoption to the family of telescope merchants/manufacturers.
    • During summoning training, inquire in particular about what other Leaf summon clans think about the Dogs.

Updated my plan to also include this

Hopefully this information is going to be useful.

Are we actually planning to adopt the glassmakers or just to settle them on our land?
I don't see why we wouldn't adopt them if we're settling them on our land, adopting civilians is free and we apparently are already doing it a lot.

Inquiry about Dogs implemented:
Fork of Oneiros' plan, handling some things a little different:

Wordcount: 191
[X] Action Plan: Leaves on the tree
Timeline: until Noburi completes his summoner training
  • Hazou sets his affairs in order before starting Summoning training.
    • Arrange for Mari, Gaku, or one of their subordinates to take over things Hazou would be doing during the training period (projects, meetings, etc.).
      • Hazou still expects daily briefings on important events and things that require Clan Head input.
  • The Talkwith Akane. In addition:
    • Hazou and Akane clearly still have feelings for each other.
      • But right now Summoning training would get in the way of any kind of relationship. Akane deserves better.
      • What does she want to do? You won't and can't decide what should happen alone.
    • Share the concept of FOOM with Akane, in high-security conditions.
      • Convey both the kind of benefits she could gain from it and the importance of keeping it secret from the likes of Orochimaru.
  • Game night
    • Have a casual game night. Make sure to invite Sasuke and other peers.
    • Have a fun and relaxed time.
  • Misc
    • Have the clan track down and offer adoption to the family of telescope merchants/manufacturers.
    • During summoning training, inquire in particular about what other Leaf summon clans think about the Dogs.

Changelog:
  • We share FOOM with Akane instead of vaguely alluding to the value of SC, as per my suggestion for maximum safety.
  • Porcupine Scroll line removed, as I think it's best if we leave that be.
  • Re-worded Akane section, to streamline it and (I feel) convey the key points more clearly.
These aren't ironclad changes, but each of them I feel is better than Oneiros' plan, to a varying degree.

I don't see why we wouldn't adopt them if we're settling them on our land, adopting civilians is free and we apparently are already doing it a lot.

I don't think we have offically adopted anyone besides Akane's and Haru's families. The rest is more in grey area?

Wouldn't most of the glassmakers be in Sand, requiring a serious infiltration arc?

Eh, I meant the telescope makers, just some brainfart.

There are manmade ways to go about it. Even in "ancient" times, they were able to make glass and telescopes with varying degrees of success. Throw in chakra bullshit and it becomes even more plausible.

You need fire to make glasses. Does it look like Sand have lot of fire users or wood?

Why adopt them if they can just work for us on our land? I am trying to understand what the exact goal here is, besides working with them on better tech.
Again, why not? We adopted people who have nothing. We adopted people who have skills. We adopted people who have dementia(granted, clan law said we can't adopt due to limits on ninja adoption, but they are functionally our people).

Now you're saying we shouldn't adopt them even though we will give them everything but clan membership?

No, I mean, did we actually adopt all of this people or did we 'adopt' them? If we actually adopted the rest then sure why not, but I was under the impression we didn't offically take them in and just pay for them.

We couldn't adopt ninja because of the laws involving taxes. Basically, the upper classes don't get taxed.

Civilians effectively don't get taxed too, but there's no laws restricting the adoption of civilians, because they are seen as worthless. So we adopt them en-mass.

The Romcom plan is a bit complicated. Maybe remove some moving parts?

[x] Action Plan: Hazou Talks to Akane
since it doesn't timeskip

[x] Action Plan: Let Velorien Write What He Wants
since i don't think it'll timeskip, since that would be weird

I seem to recall something about vacuum-step being an insta-kill technique if not for the fact that air-clones aren't a thing.

Doesn't that mean that Keiko is now capable of spawning kamikaze Snowflakes? I ask only because I love the idea of Keiko dominating a battlefield through the power of enthusiastic hugs.
Unfortunately, QMs have ruled this impossible, I'm pretty sure. I think the problem is that you need to select a valid target instead of 'that way over yonder, yeet', or somesuch.
