Yeah and we do this every month. Creating a deep long term relationship with the people who we cut in. 8 million ryo a month is a good long term investment
We're going to have cashflow problem if the income takes like four months to materialize.

I would expect the tower to take the usual 80% tax rate from this.
e: Though if we get Asuma to be the kage, and get his clan in on it, we might be able to convince him to lower the rate...
My Kei.exe is despair-spiraling about how, despite her earlier attempt to prevent this by choosing to be married-in instead of adopted, her membership in another clan ensures that we'll never be as close as we used to; this is merely the first sign. Of course the Gouketsu are always going to be running into the non-compete clause, what with Hazou's creativity at the helm, of course they'll never trust the Nara enough to include them in their best schemes, of course the chasm between her and her family is only going to grow, until they're superficial friends at best...> Running Kei.exe

> Kei lowered her head and did not meet Hazou's eyes. Perhaps some spark of defiance would have been seen in her own, and Hazou did not deserve that. It was not his fault that he had finally realised how worthless and untrustworthy she was. It was her fault for grasping stupidly at a hope that was never hers to kindle, idiot child that she was. It was good that Hazou had found a more valuable summoner to entrust his schemes to. Kei was glad for him. "Congratulations." she said, and something in her tone must have tipped him off for the enthusiasm in his eyes dimmed.

> Frowning, Hazou said "Keiko? Is something the matter?", and a part of Kei nearly responded to him. Yes, something was the matter. Would it kill him to-- No. Kei would not tread this path again. Kei did not deserve to be consulted in his schemes. He had no doubt finally noticed, on some level, that her contributions were not worth the cost of interacting with her, and so had instinctively avoided asking her.

This will take like a day or two a month. We can still make skywalkers and take missions to stay solvent. We're going to have cashflow problem if the income takes like four months to materialize.
This, incidentally, is why I want to test our methods out on our property. We need to have a sense of how long it'll take. This will take like a day or two a month. We can still make skywalkers and take missions to stay solvent.
Regarding Asuma, we're already clearing it with Mari. Regarding Tsunade... I did actually think of that, but most of her resources are currently in another town, and the scroll alone likely isn't sufficient. If we're moving to execution right away, it'll probably be easier for her to just support us.@Noumero Might just be my paranoid musing, but if we're exercising caution towards Keiko over the Nara taking over our deal, we should exercise similar caution towards Asuma and Tsunade.
True for Asuma, maybe we could save on word count by combining that? As for Tsunade, we are gonna be competing down the line once the nearby locations get fixed up...then again, will we really care all that much down the line?Regarding Asuma, we're already clearing it with Mari. Yes, probably. I'll look into it if it becomes necessary.True for Asuma, maybe we could save on word count by combining that?
No, I think? At that point "the secret" is going to be known anyway, involve we her in the first operation or not. We could hardly stop her from clearing the land on her own, down the line.As for Tsunade, we are gonna be competing down the line once the nearby locations get fixed up...then again, will we really care all that much down the line?
I can't quite parse your message. How are we getting money from that "unremitted good" thing again?I'm not sure why we would want to stop people from clearing land in the long term. It is an unremitent good for more civvies to be able to be safe and well fed.

Edit: Besides, it seems mildly OOC. I can totally see the Nara using some clever trick to swing it so that we win enormously but they win even more enormously (see also: the Fifth Event); Tsunade, on the other hand, dislikes politicking and won't bother with that.
Oh, that's easy. We make the land clearing mission names after the Goketsu clan, and use the goodwill that buys us with civvies in exchange for money in any number of ways.I can't quite parse your message. How are we getting money from that "unremitted good" thing again?

The merchant class that swells with the addition of so many food-producing civvies.
That, uh, takes several harvests to begin to happen. The merchant class that swells with the addition of so many food-producing civvies.
Taxation. Once we pressure Asuma into retiring and give Naruto the cap, the money will be flowing right to us.I can't quite parse your message. How are we getting money from that "unremitted good" thing again?

Non-compete clause: No. Keiko has to warn us if we're competing with the Nara and to avoid assisting us in getting an advantage over the Nara — i. e., avoid helping us compete. Nothing about the reverse.Doesn't the non-compete clause apply to them just as much as it applies to us? I see this as one of those things that Shika has to be fair on in order to maintain the clans integrity as an honest agent, just like maintaining the Keiko marraige in the first place.
For once politics is on our side. I want to see a Hazuo made plan that is optimized by Keiko with the Nara handling logistics. 2x thinker clan op.
But wouldn't we get the money and the goodwill if we arrange behind the scenes that we're the only land-clearer in town? We hardly need to be seen sabotaging others' efforts.Oh, that's easy. Hmm. That makes more sense.Taxation. Once we pressure Asuma into retiring and give Naruto the cap, the money will be flowing right to us.
Oh, I guess there's no reason not to involve Kei then, if she's required to inform us of it.Non-compete clause: No. Keiko has to warn us if we're competing with the Nara and to avoid assisting us in getting an advantage over the Nara — i. e., avoid helping us compete. Nothing about the reverse.
If we tell Kei we are telling the Nara. If we tell the Nara we will end up cutting them in. I am only ok cutting the Nara in if we explicitly decide to do it to begin with. For me at least they are way down the listOh, I guess there's no reason not to involve Kei then, if she's required to inform us of it.
