For personal preferences: can we clarify that Hazou is aware that the last bulletpoint is a longshot? I don't wanna make him ask that without that clarification since he'll come off as an absolute moron and we have enough of that without voting that sort of thing in lol

Everyone, here is the updated QuINOA. Everything that was on there was more than a year old, so I saved it all separately, then essentially started from scratch. I've looked over questions in the thread since we returned from Leaf, but I'm sure I missed something. If you know any of the answers, or have your own questions, please add to it. My signature is empty, so I'll attach it there for easy access.

      • Ask whether Orochimaru left them a will. Jiraiya wrote a pardon for him and we want his wishes carried out.
    • Idea: Keiko advocates a Pangolin-Snake-Toad alliance conditional on the Snakes backing a Gouketsu Summoner.
      • Make sure Pangolins/Toads are amenable to alliance.
      • The alliance, with preexisting allies, would be unstoppable, especially with our seals.
      • Bonus: Inroads with Snakes/Toads gives us additional avenues to pressure Pangolins to changing conquered clans' treatment.
    • Ask Keiko/Mari the feasibility (probably a long shot) of us taking the Snake scroll from the Tower. Are they willing to come with us to demand it?

People do not just screw you over for no reason if they have at least a mildly vested interest in your wellbeing! Kabuto and Ami aren't just going to turn around and sell us out for (INSERT UNKNOWN NEFARIOUS REASONS). Can we stop jumping at shadows and seriously examine what people have to lose and gain from doing things before deciding that ???? from the Mysterious Black Swan Unknown-Unknown Box is going to outweigh all other possible considerations? It would be one thing if it was like, Neji or Hinata who have vested interests in assuring we fail. It would be another if it was Hana, who we have no reason to believe would deal in (what we consider to be) good faith when we ask her to fix things. Ami has shown neither inclination nor motive to fuck us over. At worst, we should go forward with the caveat that she MUST NOT act combatively with Mari, and ORDER Mari to not engage with Ami in any way.

That is absolutely true about Ami. Not so much about Kabuto, who remains an enigma with frighteningly good Deceit and completely unknown loyalties. If he turned around and shared the info with some party he's cooperating with, I wouldn't even consider that a Black Swan. We know very little of him. Now, the knowledge that signing the scroll won't immediately kill Noburi because of Nature Chakra might well be worth the information leak, but let's be realistic about the chances of that.

They might not be worth their salt now, but old ninja can certainly pass down treasure troves of secret ninja knowledge.

I like the idea of promoting inter-village marriage, but without modern travel and communication, it's only going to work if one partner moves to the other's village.

How about: Mist sends a Kurosawa to marry Uchiha, and Leaf sends a Nara to marry into the Mori. (I nominated Shiori, because she's creepy and annoying.)

Edit: I'm not joking, dynastic marriages have a lot in their favor!

I mostly rated this funny because of the Shiori suggestion/comment, which gave me a laugh.
