That said, I see no easy way to fix Kei at this stage. We should probably just have her minmax Intimidation from now on, and never let her do social combat solo.
Possible issue: Pangolins.

Possible solution #1: Jiraiya.
Possible solution #2: A social-specialized summon brainwashed/indoctrinated to support Keiko. Pangolins, Toads, Condors?
Possible solution #3: Kill/abandon them all.

E: Really though, I don't like this build. It leaves her so defenceless.

I think we should keep Intimidation at a priority but unfortunately we might need her to boost empathy and whatnot just a bit.

Things would be a lot easier on the seventh path if she could just social all our problems away(thats not happening) but at the very least we should not have her be totally inept at this

I would like to point out that one of the classic uses for stunts is "treat stat X as stat Y for defensive purposes".

@Radvic has a bridge to sell you?
No I mean most of them are very explicitly not weapons for the reasons you were elaborating on earlier.
Hmmn.

How could we fluff that? I guess you could resist Empathy by being so terrifying that people's minds flinch away from analysing you?
Don't bother with making it Empathy. Make it count as Deceit for defensive purposes. So terrifying you can't tell whether she's lying. Still leaves Empathy to cover, but three social stats are much easier than four.

Lmao. I honestly looked up "Sugimoto metric" because I was sure you were talking about some weird topological space. Clearly I need to do less math.

It's rather sad, but the state of academic literature is so bad that you can give a convincing illusion of technical sophistication for a fictional field (even to technical people!) just by rattling off a bunch of (Name, Jargon) pairs.

A: "Hold on now, how do you propose we get around the Himmelstein anomoly?"

B: "Uh, we're only working in a fundamental Najdorf tensor-space here. How could that possibly apply?"

A: "Normally it wouldn't, but by necessity when we activate the Bird-Norris generator, we will be creating a Marshal field, and you can't couple a Marshal field to the Blackwell mechanism without inducing a Church-Hensley regression."

B: "Ahh, nice catch! Frankfort bypass it is."

A and B nod solemnly.

Man, I'm looking forward to meeting him.

e: Hopefully he shows up to Jiraiya's wedding.

...Which, incidentally, we must insist on happening before the Naruto rescue mission.

Spurious Barrier Formation

A sixteen-element tripwire seal with effects somehow unlike that of the Greatest, Greater, or Lesser Barrier Formations. Sixteen seals are placed spatially and temporally at the points that would nominally define a regular tesseract, using the Sugimoto metric. It is of dubious use, only barely managing to be classified as a "seal" rather than a "sealing failure." Instead of triggering based on movement, it is unknown what event triggers the seal. This system may trigger up to sixteen seals, and effectively acts as a random timer.

So what you're saying is that chronosealing CAN be done?

So have we given much thought to who Orochimaru has compromised in the village?

Unless you think he just distributed that board game everywhere :p

We bought up his old lab, so it's plausible we unknowingly triggered something that would give him all the info he needs to put together the pieces.
