The mental image I was kinda thinking of when I was making this is a ninja sticking this seal on a sword to get an electric sword that also zaps people it hits. Not sure what changes you'd have to make in order to make that work, but it's probably doable.
Well if the seal just produced lightning chakra stuff it'd obviously travel through swords, because swords are metal and that's how anime logic works.
Technically, to give people who spend a lot of time underground or away from windows for whatever reason a way to tell if it's day or not. Realisitically, because I thought it would be cool to have a seal that cared about time of day and just sort of threw something out there.
The major issue here is that designing seals is costly, so seals need motives to exist.
The general impression was magnetic force, so it'd probably calibrate to the strength of regular magnets being put near each other. I'd guess they could cross the room at most if you pushed them right on top of each other. Mainly just a neat seal interaction that might help lay groundwork for more viable seals, as I imagine sealmasters are wont to do.
"magnetic force" is proportional to the amount of magnet there is. The seals presumably have a higher flux density, else they'd be extremely weak, so if you stack them they're still going to be vastly stronger than any persistent Earth magnet.

You're working under the assumption the seals produce normal electricity. This chakra electircity only goes a maximum of a foot from the seal, naturally. :p

Soon Kuroda awakes and he asks Naruto to join him in a drink, though Naruto states he is not old enough to drink, he caves in shortly and begins to drink with the artist. While inebriated Naruto decides to show the men his transformation technique, a variation of what we now know as the Oiroke no Jutsu, Naruto changes into an attractive young woman who only wears a bathing suit. Naruto is not skilled enough though so one of his tails sticks out from his tailbone. As the two artists freak out at the strange occurrence before them, we see a man in the outside shadows begin to put a silencer on a gun.

Kuroda asks Naruto what he is doing in the city and Naruto tells him he was sent to find a friend. Kuroda says that is foolish and that you can only trust yourself. Then he rose to head to bed. Takashi then tells Naruto of the sad events of Kuroda's past. His best-friend Saburo stabbed Kuroda after Kuroda took over his job as the chairman of the cultural advancement committee. Saddened by his actions, Saburo returned to his apartment and painted Symbol before taking his own life.

Hmm, interesting.

Completely unrelated, anyone know where I can get the best deals on brain bleach?

So this has come up on the discord a few times, but I'm not sure if we've talked about it in-thread: gliders as a way of increasing Skywalker efficiency.

We'd have to invent them from scratch given that Sand always never had them, and they don't seem to have been developed in feudal times, but the concepts behind them don't seem to be too difficult (kites exist, after all), and we don't need a perfect design from the beginning because Skywalkers eliminate nearly all risk involved.

The point of making gliders is that you can get some forward velocity at high altitude, and then turn off your Skywalkers and glide for a good solid distance, and then when your altitude declines turn your Skywalkers back on and run up to high altitude again. It's not hard to imagine gliders doubling, tripling, or more the effective longevity of Skywalkers, and a glider can probably be stored in a storage seal fairly easily, as a bonus.

It will require Craftsmanship to develop (and not Trapmaking spec), and while we already have that kinda on our plate to learn for future projects that would delay the plan a lot. Instead, we might be better served by describing the idea to Jiraiya or Shikaku and seeing if they can find someone who can turn it into something useful.

Thoughts? Reasons why this won't work/there's a better option to pursue/Jiraiya or Shikaku would laugh at us about it?

I think a bildungsroman of a young demon fox in rural Japan could be very pleasant and enjoyable. However, this was clearly not the pilot that was written.

We'd have to convince them regarding glider design...does Hazou know about any gliding animals?
I think the inspiration we'd want to use is kites. A lightweight frame with fabric cover that catches the wind and floats of its own accord. Just from that, it begins to sound plausible that you could create a megakite that could carry a human along for the ride, and then at the very least if the wind favours your direction you can use the megakite to go that way.

It would? We have until somebody else figure out skywalkers before us. In the meantime, I expect us learning carpentry to start paying dividend immediately.

Well, Craftsmanship pays out dividends immediately...

But so does Alertness, which we need to minmax this month.

And so does Empathy, not only helping us not suck at socials but potentially even building groundwork for an Aspect shift.

And are we going to just neglect Sealing and Taijutsu?

Craftsmanship is good and useful, but with so many other pressures on our XP we aren't going to get it to level 20 very soon.

I vote we level Socials, because with high enough levels we can find people with high <insert skill here> and have them do the things we want.

I vote we level nothing and stockpile a massive amount of fate points and punch out the moon with them.

How about we first and foremost fix our character builds both socially and combat wise so that Hazou is moderately good at more things instead of just being amazing ar two or three things.

:p

We should powerlevel Empathy after the tournament though.
