Hazou's demented subconscious brings up a good point for his other demented subconscious to ponder: does Akatsuki have Skywalkers now? I don't think the Sharingan would allow Itachi to recreate it from a glance but I wouldn't rule it out, and we know Akatsuki's legion of Chuunin took out the ANBU who survived the Mist Jounin, so it's not impossible that Akatsuki left with Skywalker seals in tow.

You assume there's an expert sealmaster in Akatsuki that can definitively recognize a modified defensive seal and the logic that follows in making it work. If Akatsuki had a sealmaster like that, why haven't they won?
I think a valid question here is whether or not the Sharingan allows for an Uchiha to make a perfect copy of the seal blank. Copying hand-seals is one thing, but a seal blank has to be much more precise in order to work, and may require the Iron Nerve mutation to pull off. Or at least Itachi would need to be practiced at making seal blanks in order to get it exactly right. For all we know, Itachi can't draw for shit. (I have this hilarious image in my head of Itachi making really bad, inaccurate drawings to describe people he's met to other members of Akatsuki)

For all we know, Leaf is gearing up for war, so giving everyone knowledge on how to use skywalker isn't really a big deal. We have no idea what is going on inside the village. I would hold off doing kai until after she finished her little report and briefing.

The random Genin in question was delivering a message to a Skytower a mile in the sky. I don't think she gets to use them on any old courier mission.
On the one hand, Naruto's preferred method of combat appears to be clone spam, so relying on Skywalkers (which I assume do not duplicate when cloned) wouldn't mesh well with his fighting style, but on the other hand that doesn't mean he wasn't wearing Skywalkers anyways just in case he needed to get away from something and could use the extra TacMov.

I can't find the post, but one of the QMs said at one point that Leaf brought everyone they could to The Ultimate Showdown.
Really? Hiashi is chuunin (or genin (or Academy student)) level? Because if he was jounin level, that's someone you could have brought to The Ultimate Showdown. Instead, he set an ambush with a force he knew might be inferior. Doesn't add up, does it?
Here's what we saw: 'Jiraiya' (Zabuza) visibly upset, to keep anyone from questioning him. (Except Shikaku, who instantly recognized what was going on, but has a secret alliance with the Mori clan—he asked Kei for clan secrets to verify that they weren't being lied to, which explains why she would tell them less than they expected—and therefore welcomes his new Mist overlords.) Mist ambushed the ambushers and took the opportunity to infiltrate Leaf. As we've been going across the Elemental Nations, we've been helping coordinate Mist's attack. Now that we're back, Zabuza has come out to us in person, on the skywalkers he now has access to, to make sure we don't get away again. (He didn't do this sooner because that would have blown his cover). As soon as we're... dealt with... he'll signal Mist to attack.

Seems to me that the team expected someone to go up high and greet them. Otherwise, there's literally no point in camping that high up, because you can't be reached that way.

I am confused. It took Kagome 96 days to research skywalkers. It has been 24 days since we first came to leaf. Jiraiya was promoted to hokage roughly one week in so he can't have worked on skywalkers. Some one managed to research skywalkers in that time period and produce enough to kit out Genin. This when storage scrolls which Genin level sealmaster can make are incredibly valuable. Something doesn't add up
