@PoptartProdigy
I once had a similar problem, though in my case it was my own damn fault, for having botched an attempt at a laptop repair. Had to get a wireless USB keyboard to plug into the laptop.
@PoptartProdigy
Simon this is basically a coin flip at this point either Yammar is getting Seer support that will let him see our gambit coming which is viable since the gambit won't be working at SSJ fight speeds and he no sells us or he isn't getting Seer support and taking the action just debuffs us for no reason. Honestly at this point I just don't want to chance it although you've changed my mind on planning to far ahead so I'll probably be voting to block out telepathic communication on Yammar and garb the Dandeer flail but that's it.I would like to BEG people to construct some plans that don't involve the telepathic shout. It is NOT a free action, it takes time and concentration when we have very little of either to spare. If Yammar's attention might have strayed for a split second, we will regain his attention just before performing other complicated actions.
We have very little evidence that Yammar is actually getting Seer advice, other than "he no-sold our attacks," which can very easily be explained by his very very long experience (40-plus years of intense combat training to our, like, five). And his superior Style training in what appears to be a melee-focused style (possibly of his own creation).
We have reason to think he might NOT be getting Seer advice, namely that Seers with lower power levels shouldn't be able to give blow-by-blow advice in a super saiyan duel. The best Dandeer got from that was "close your eyes and raise a shield NOW," after which we deprived her of the advice.
Please. We know Poptart penalizes us for trying several things in rapid succession. Let's minimize the number of things we do in rapid succession so we at least have a prayer of outmaneuvering our opponent and accomplishing an objective before Yammar catches up.

The problem is that a single shout from Kakara isn't going to block his communications (indeed, the Seer might just tell him that Kakara is going to shout at him and then go for Dandeer). I do think that blocking Seer support would be a good idea, I just don't think Kakara can do it alone.Simon this is basically a coin flip at this point either Yammar is getting Seer support that will let him see our gambit coming which is viable since the gambit won't be working at SSJ fight speeds and he no sells us or he isn't getting Seer support and taking the action just debuffs us for no reason. I don't think the odds are anywhere near 50/50 that Yammar is getting active ongoing Seer support.Simon this is basically a coin flip at this point either Yammar is getting Seer support that will let him see our gambit coming which is viable since the gambit won't be working at SSJ fight speeds and he no sells us or he isn't getting Seer support and taking the action just debuffs us for no reason. I roll for everybody. The Legendary Super Saiyan occurs on seven consecutive nat-100s.
WIFE: Why are you even bothering with these? ... Fine, whatever, let's just get this done. Pointless, though.
(LATER)
ME (FRANTIC): ...he's passing them!
(LATER)
WIFE: Oh what the fuck.
ME: HE... HE ROLLED A NAT-100 FOR THAT.
WIFE: What the fuck?
(LATER)
WIFE: ...
ME: ...
BOTH: WHAT THE FUCK?!
(LATER)
WIFE: So help me-
ME: NO. NO, THIS... IS APPARENTLY A STRESS-TEST OF HOW BADLY DICE CAN FUCK OVER THE SYSTEM NOW. WE'RE SEEING IT THROUGH.
...But it isn't a single shout the vote specifically says start yelling at Yammar telepathically to block out Seer precog I never specified an end point just that she continuously do so. Also we can't contact any one outside the hall. The problem is that a single shout from Kakara isn't going to block his communications (indeed, the Seer might just tell him that Kakara is going to shout at him and then go for Dandeer). I do think that blocking Seer support would be a good idea, I just don't think Kakara can do it alone.
If we want to prevent him from getting Seer support, we'll need to ask for Saiyans to come to the hall and shout and him and then stall. This might not be a bad idea, since we could call for an army of sorcerers at the same time, but it does require stalling and isn't compatible with immediately going for Dandeer.
I don't think it's likely that Yammar is getting Seer support either right now but I do think it's possible that between the time of us waking up, taking a couple senzu beans and then going for Dandeer there would be enough time to send a warning. Also I have reiterated this time and time again I don't think a Seer will be able to feed Yammar real time information during a fight and I don't think it's what caused our defeat but I do think there's enough time for a Seer to send Yammar a warning about us being awake befoare we can act so I just want to disrupt that possibility until we can get our hands on Dandeer and I don't care how we cause the distraction that allows us to do this.I don't think the odds are anywhere near 50/50 that Yammar is getting active ongoing Seer support.
FIrstly, either the Seer already told Yammar what to expect in which case we'd be screwed whether we jam his telepathy now or not... Or the Seer would need to be acting and reacting at super-saiyan speeds to alert Yammar to our actions before we carry them out, which is probably albeit not absolutely certainly impossible.
Secondly, the Seer may be unable to contact Yammar because whatever spell Dandeer cast to let people communicate with her through the wards may be in some way keyed to her personally.
Thirdly, the Seer may be unable to act that far outside of Dandeer's plans without orders. That's not a certainty but it's possible, and would again result in Yammar not getting the advice.
Fourthly, I would like to repeat that it should not be possible for a Seer operating from a distance to give Yammar useful tactical advice on how to fight us in real time. We could be wrong about this, but we have no reason to assume that we are wrong, and every reason to assume that we are not. Seer support is NOT required to explain how Yammar so easily bested us in hand-to-hand combat; that is perfectly well explained by Yammar being more skillful in hand to hand battle.
EDIT:
So basically, it's like... I don't know, the odds aren't 50/50. They're more like, I'm throwing out a number here, 70/30 or 80/20.
The gamble is more like "80% chance that we accomplish nothing except to slow ourselves down and draw attention to the fact that we're lucid enough to take action again, 20% chance that we temporarily cut Yammar's communications after the Seer has already had time to warn Yammar about what we're going to do, assuming that said Seer was ever going to do that in the first place."
Which isn't such a good bet to take.
EDIT MK II:
If we're going to do anything like this, we should do the "project memories of Dandeer's slaughter of the Vegetan sorcerors" gambit. That's far more likely to work as a temporary distraction against Yammar than a wordless shout. Even better, it actually accomplishes something even if Yammar isn't receiving telepathic advice from an outside source and is just kicking our ass through superior combat skill.
@PoptartProdigy Would it be possible to use tk to stealthily feed a senzu been to Jaffur or Apra while he's distracted talking to us (and have them chew it),
In principle, yes, but in practice Kakara does not have the mastery for that. It's like if you're fencing somebody. Sure, you have the other arm free most of the time, but do you feel confident in your ability to lean over and go through the fairly involved process of making an unconscious person swallow, while still fending off your opponent?@PoptartProdigy does Kakara think she's capable of slipping a bean down Apra's throat with low-powered/stealth TK from a distance whilst simultaneously fighting Yammar very defensively so he doesn't notice?
...hm. I actually think I flipped the way the Hall wards work in my head, over the last updates. Kakara should not be able to telepathy out through the wards. It's fine, I can retcon her contacting the Senzus to her passing it to the last people leaving and having them pass it along, but in terms of your question: zero. The other desperate option. Pros: Might work. Relies on factors Kakara should know about; namely how the number of people and amount of ki she can reach from the Hall. (Speaking of which, I need that estimate. @PoptartProdigy?)
Yes or no question: have you seen or read my statements on this topic? After all Vegeta had enough intrigue in him to spoof his super sayinness something which is hard to do as I recall.
I would never stifle player agency like that.@PoptartProdigy Petition to add a new tag that says "Do not try to achieve SS2" In all caps
Does he have x-ray vision? We are buried in rubble it's pretty safe to say he can't see us but we can always ask just to be sure. PoptartProdigy can Yammar see us?
Potentially. As always, the limiting factor is how quickly other people can send you ki. Ordinarily, Super Saiyans can get around the planet basically instantly under their own power. But Yammar is in the Hall, and the limiting factors on his speed are a) how quickly he realizes what Kakara's up to, which may take vital fractions of a second, b) Whether or not he decides to immediately go after her (he probably will, but perhaps the spell compels him to resuscitate Dandeer soonest), c) how quickly he can clear the Gates, which can take up to a minute to traverse.@PoptartProdigy : this is a question that Kakara most surely has at least some clue to the answer to. But I don't have a good sense of how much time things take, so I don't.
Supposing for the sake of argument that Yammar doesn't know Instant Transmission, if Kakara abruptly teleported to the other side of the planet and started charging Spirit Saiyan, does she think she could accumulate a significant power level advantage before Yammar caught up with her? Enough to even the odds? Enough to trivialize the odds?
It'd be fiddly, and you'd have half of your normal air supply thanks to the extra person, but you could do it. You wouldn't be able to confidently land within any given several thousand square miles, but that's not too much of an issue in this case.@PoptartProdigy
...Um... COULD we instant-transmit to the opposite side of the Sun?
Could we instant-transmit to the opposite side of the Sun, while holding Dandeer, without Dandeer dying on us?
I'm a bit skeptical of this plan and am guessing that Kakara thinks it wouldn't work.
She knows of them all, but as I stated above, I made a mistake on how Hall wards work in the last few updates. You can't transmit messages out.@PoptartProdigy : does Kakara even know any of the heads of houses that Apra and Yammar recruited? Could she telepathically contact one of them and tell them to get to the Hall and heal Jaffur after she draws off Yammar?
You're not practiced in it, but you have something of a natural talent. You could probably get somebody conscious.@PoptartProdigy
Do we have to roll for heal beam? How much time might it take for it to work, and how much might Jaffur be healed?
Will do, when the time comes.PoptartProdigy could you include this write in plan:
[ ] Telepathically shout at Yammar to block all incoming messages or possible Seer precog.
-[ ] IT to Dandeer, and use her as a shield/flail.
-[ ] While Yammar is at a disadvantage, Heal Beam your comrades. Give Jaffur, who Yammar implied only lost due to numbers, priority.
Will do, when the time comes. So, @PoptartProdigy, would you mind putting this write-in in too?
[] Plan Screaming Saiyans
-[] Take another bean, get back up, and fight.
--[] Keep your distance and fight defensively. Your goal isn't to knock out Yammar, but to prevent him from doing the same to you as well as healing his allies.
-[] Broadcast to every single Saiyan on Garenhuld that you're trying to break the Sealing, Dandeer is mind-controlling Yammar and Berra and that they need to scream at Yammar right now.
That's several hundred rolls. Are you sure you want to see all of that?I would very much like it if @PoptartProdigy would share what the rolls for this fight looked like afterwards, because it would be interesting and might help reduce the salt levels associated with how parts of it went badly.
Will do, when the time comes.
I delete your vote, and kindly ask you not to do that again.[X] Write-in.

Obviously and gleefully non-canon, with the bonus going to dealing with the Legendary Super Saiyan.Omake time.
This scene is written from the point of view of Lord Vegeta during pre-Sealing events. Contains child abuse. Contains child abuse from the perspective of the abuser. The second person perspective. Contains self-justifying internal monologue of child abuser. Contains villain viewpoint character, as the previous three sentences should make clear.
If you foresee being seriously troubled by the scene described above, DO NOT READ this omake.
The author does NOT endorse the viewpoint of Vegeta Vegeta on literally anything ever, especially not anything related to children in any capacity. Character's attributed opinions are strictly his own and I hope he rots and burns in HFIL for them. On which note...
Somewhere, in a very improbable, one-in-quadrillions parallel universe...

"Kakara, you need to understand-"
"No, YOU understand! This is stupid! It's stupid, and I hate it!"
Berra has coddled his precious little shrinking violet for far too long. Now the bastard's sowing what he reaped. Does the cowardly girl not want to be a super-saiyan? People have died trying to- you clamp down on the memory.
A mocking, ironic inner voice tells you that maybe you shouldn't talk. After all, you have your own brat problems. Jaffur is screaming at you.
"I am not a weapon! You don't get to point me at her and tell me to cut loose!"
Idiot child. You were so proud of him when he was born, with a power level in the thousands practically before he left the delivery room. But since then? Nothing but lip and insolence and constant, constant failure to grasp the facts of life.
Your power level spirals up to something far beyond what the boy can achieve. Time seems to stand still, except only for Berra's gathering frown; he's the only one present who can match you. You walk up to the frozen Jaffur, then allow yourself to slow down, cutting him off in mid-rant.
"Don't you tell me what I do and don't get to do. I am your father, and you will respect that." Meanwhile Berra is still trying to convince Kakara. Idiot.
Again, though, you have your own problems. Jaffur closes on you. "I'll respect you as my father when you earn it!"
Your vision turns red.
SMACK.
Why does he never learn?
Everyone shuts up. Jaffur stumbles back a half-step and freezes, head snapped to the side by the blow. You lower your hand, slowly, and try, one more time, to explain to your son how the world works. You understood it when you were ten, if not younger.
"I don't need to earn anything from you, brat. I helped to bring you into this world, and I can take you out of it."
Jaffur is still and quiet. Maybe he's listening for a change. That would be good.
You bend down to his face. Because you know what he said last night, and he must understand how things work now that he's transformed for the first time.
"As your father I am entitled to your respect and obedience, and I will have it from you. Do you really think I didn't hear you last night? 'The Clan needs a new Lord?' Really, is that so? And how will you make that happen, Jaffur?"
"Don't call me that."
"Do you plan on finding some likely girl to pump out your brats as soon as you can? I'm sure you can find a whore to help with that easily enough."
"Don't call me that."
"Or did you plan on killing me? Forget whether or not you can -- let's be honest, you never would. You're nothing without me there."
"Don't call me that."
What is wrong with him? You've got to snap him out of it, get him to face the truth of what it is, to be a transformed Scion helping his lord and father- you clamp down on the memory.
"Don't call you what? Your name? That's just who you are, and nothing will ever change that. You are my son -- my blood, my flesh, my property, mine -- and that will never change."

Jaffur's expression stills, and he looks you in the face. "Fuck this."
WHAM.
A spike of shocked pain slams into your gut. Jaffur transforms almost instantly, and at a hundred and sixty million he's strong enough to hurt you with that sucker punch. You double over, momentarily dazed as your own son bounds up and kicks you across the Hall.
If you weren't you, you might be proud.
Your vision turns red, then blue and gold. That IDIOT CHILD!
"BOY!"
Once again you have seven times the boy's strength.
"YOU STRIKE AT ME? YOU JUST ACHIEVED YOUR TRANSFORMATION YESTERDAY, AND YOU THINK YOURSELF A MATCH FOR ME?!"
You rush forward, unleashing your strength against him, showing him what true power really is. He trains, you'll give him that. He's got talent, you'll give him that. But none of that matters in the face of the true mastery of the titanic well of a super-saiyan's power, as you proved at the age of ten- you clamp down on the memory.
Berra transforms, but stays out of it, protecting Kala and the girl from the thunder of your wrath. Fair enough. Well enough. And after a little while, you've done enough. Well, almost enough. One final lesson.
Jaffur is on the floor, far from the bystanders. You slow back into what mere mortals would call visibility, above Berra and Kala and the girl, arms flung wide. Your vision is red.
"YOU INSOLENT BRAT! I WILL SHOW YOU YOUR PLACE! ENJOY THE REST OF THE MONTH, SON, BECAUSE YOU'RE SPENDING IT CRIPPLED!"
Berra looks up and shouts. "Vegeta, no!"
But it's too late for that. It's six years too late for that. The divide between you and the man you once thought of as a friend, like an idiot, can never be repaired.
"FINAL FLASH!"
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-/
BANG.
When the light clears, the dust remains.
When the dust clears, the crater remains.
The boy is standing in the crater. But he doesn't look like a boy anymore. Somehow, something has given him the height and bulk of a man grown, muscled as no eight year old child should be. As not even an eight year old super saiyan should be.
The golden fire of his transformation, the blue shimmering of that... thing he does with his ki... they've merged, now, with something else.
His eyes are mad and wild, or rather his face is. You cannot read expression in his eyes directly. Because his eyes are pits of white flame, so bright that it hurts to look at them, so bright you can't imagine how he can even see.
Your son's hair is still mostly golden, but now tinged with green.
Incongruously, fragments from the ancient Song of Gohan and the Chant of Goku drift through your mind, as things fall into place. You realize truly, what it is that you have sired. And tormented. And goaded into a rage beyond even saiyan comprehension. Beyond even your comprehension.
You know that the last time this happened, the father died.
And he'd given less provocation than you.
Your Final Flash rolled off Jaffur's abruptly expanded body, like wind splashing off of steel. It has left him not only uninjured, but unmarked, untouched by a blast that even Berra, even Father, would have had to sit up and take notice of. For Jaffur is the truth of the legend now, and he is stronger than you. By one unit of power, or one billion, it matters not. He is stronger than you.
Jaffur is beyond speech, beyond thought. He roars.
"FATHER!"
He stands, feet spread wide on the ground, and cups his hands at you. Now moving faster than you can fully react to defend yourself. For he is the legend, and he is stronger than you.
Silver and blue and green and gold merge into rainbow balefire, altering almost beyond recognition an attack you've seen your son use before.
The Apocalypse Beam.
You thought Jaffur's choice of words pretentious, a childish fancy, even if the boy had a right to name his own attacks, which you supposed he did.
That lance of silver fire strikes, has always struck, with twice the power level of the user. And Jaffur is mightier, now, than even a super-saiyan at full strength.
Even if, in this moment, you had unlocked the forbidden transformation, attained the second state, it wouldn't be enough to stop this, this world-ending blowtorch, thick as a man's thigh, from carving through your chest, burning through your shoulder and sending your right arm falling to the ground. Slowly, so slowly, your body begins to fall after it, to land at your rival Berra's feet.
And now the Apocalypse Beam lives up to the full horror of its name.
Sorcerers, your wife among them, were already frantically conjuring seals, trying to reinforce the Hall wards, as soon as they saw the green fire erupt around Jaffur's power-swollen body. But he is the legend, and he is stronger than them too.
The beam, fired from the ground and passing through you, blows out through the Hall's roof, rupturing its enchantments as a spear might burst a balloon. A gout of green-tarnished silver screams skyward, on a direct line to interstellar space and the edge of the galaxy.
The Hall is fallen. And you are dying.
Jaffur screams again.
"FAATHHER!"
As your life ebbs, you see Berra, the red fire of the Kaio-Ken wrapping around him, as he prepares to risk his life doing what you and your parents had planned for, the last-ditch effort to suppress an awakening power that will spell the doom of Garenhuld. None of you knew to expect this, but generations of royals have resolved along these lines. To bring down any such giant, though they die in the doing, or die trying.
You see Kyuuri, your aide, looking on in sick horror. Slowly, so slowly, raising fingers to brow. To fetch your father? Your father.
Father... Father...
Soon you stand, restored, before a great desk. You answer to the great crimson ogre in his violet suit for your deeds. You are sentenced accordingly.
Nor will you be the only child of Garenhuld to do so, this day.
I honestly could not have written this before the latest update which is a pity because it might have actually helped...
Nice!
Extremely alarming phrasing.Obviously and gleefully non-canon, with the bonus going to dealing with the Legendary Super Saiyan.
Fair enough. I'm now learning towards using Dandeer's massacre memory to incapacitate him whilst we do it manually. In principle, yes, but in practice Kakara does not have the mastery for that. I specialize in such things.

Wellllll... sort of. He has ki sense, so he can sense our energy and know a considerable amount about what we're doing even through the rubble.
Hmmm. So we can teleport out and get away from him faster than others can pursue, (symbolically appropriately) as we did during the Sealing.Potentially. ...Honestly I kind of am? It might be best to send it to me on the side somehow, but I genuinely am curious. That's several hundred rolls. Are you sure you want to see all of that?
Thank you. It seems like a reasonably economical plan.
[blinks]Obviously and gleefully non-canon, with the bonus going to dealing with the Legendary Super Saiyan.
..This kinda gives me an idea for another possible plan.Hm. Possible plan:
-Take Dandeer hostage.
-[optional doing things]
-Teleport to space on the other side of the sun
--Far enough away from the sun that Dandeer gets nothing worse than, oh, a nasty sunburn to go with her fractured tail vertebra.
-Try to go Spirit Saiyan.
This would probably stretch over multiple updates, though, so I'm not sure whether to suggest it as a write-in. If it works, it would work pretty big, because we might be entirely out of Yammar's sensor range in deep space, and when we come back (via IT) we're strong enough to trivialize probable opponents. And, heck, possibly to ki-heal people by brute force.
Probable failure points:
1) Yammar taking hostages while we're going Spirit Saiyan, and communicating the knowledge that he has done so to us.
2) Our air supply running out while we're still in space.
3) Us not being able to draw on Garenhuld's energy from the other side of the sun- note that Goku was able to draw from planets other than Namek when charging the Spirit Bomb against Frieza, so hopefully we should be able to pull this off.
I mean I'm game for this plan and I suggest following this plan for taking Dandeer hostage.Hm. Possible plan:

Now I don't know whether to hope that bonus applies, or to hope that it doesn't...
Make a very-low-PL clone (low enough to be unnoticed by Yammar) while under the rubble, then have said clone IT out of the hall and get help while we fight Yammar however we'd have done otherwise.
@PoptartProdigy, can we create clones with very low PL to start with or do we have split it evenly when creating them?
Thanks! This has been discussed repeatedly. When we multi-form, it divides our PL evenly.
More plausibly, but this also comes down to the fact that Kakara is only competent at TK and this is a procedure requiring quite some degree of physical dexterity.@PoptartProdigy
Okay, we can't do it while fighting Yammar, that stands to reason because he's much more skillful than we are. Could we plausibly do it while talking to him?
Not that fine-grained. Kakara would struggle to sense a limb moving so precisely.Wellllll... sort of. He has ki sense, so he can sense our energy and know a considerable amount about what we're doing even through the rubble.
To be fair, after Vegeta sniped us, I think a lot of us are mentally revising upwards our estimates of what the other super-saiyans can and cannot do in the ki control/sensory/usage department. Not that fine-grained. Kakara would struggle to sense a limb moving so precisely.
Fair. To set at least one limit on that, then.To be fair, after Vegeta sniped us, I think a lot of us are mentally revising upwards our estimates of what the other super-saiyans can and cannot do in the ki control/sensory/usage department.
LSSJ is a variant form in addition to typical forms. If I have one complaint about this it's that it doesn't work to place it after Jaffur's first transformation.
My understanding from what we see with the LSS in the actual series is that the LSS has the Legendary forms instead of the standard forms.
We never see either Broly or (Super character) ever use any of the standard SSJ transformations as I'd presume they can't.
So if he has already achieved SSJ1 (untrained), then he can't be the LSS as he'd have gone berserk in that first transformation.
