Let this be the official notice that the topic of the RP is now closed. Not up for debate, not up for clarification: closed. It has been nothing but a disruption. My explanation, I feel, is more than clear, and the prevailing consensus appears to be in agreement with that judgment. If the topic arises again, I will not step in to correct it; I will simply call the mods.

If you are discussing information you can only get from the RP, put it in spoiler boxes. Final word.
 
So, anybody, that's on Poptart's Discord, or would like to join in on this madness. I have recently found my decent quality microphone. So I'm going to start up a wonderful endeavor for us.

I'm going to do a dramatic reading of the entire quest. All the canonical posts by Poptart, canon omakes, though I won't be voicing out discussions because oh boy.... Anyways!

Not sure yet as to when I'll do the first session of this, hopefully, tonight once I get my mic set up. There are a good twenty pages worth of quest in reader mode alone. I think it'd be a fun way for us to catch back up with the quest and just enjoy a few laughs together as I proceed to fail at voice acting for your entertainment.

Oh man, I'd be very curious as to how you read my omakes, especially the latest one. (Pity Starcrossed isn't on the list, but I guess it's not canon.) Unfortunately, I'm not on Discord and don't expect to be unless they change their TOS to be a little less literally-impossible-to-comply-with, so is it possible for you to mirror it somewhere else?

I mean, I suppose I could, I just don't have a proper setup at the moment for a proper recording and this is just meant to be for laughs as I try to use as many ridiculous voices as I can to fill in for these characters.

Plus I don't have any soundproofing where I am and can't actually do the proper DBZ style screams.

You're supposed to own "all rights to any content you post", for a start. Meaning no quoting anything that isn't public domain, and arguably no responding to other people. Playing RPGs via Discord is, of course, right out.
Also, they want you to sign away "all moral rights" to any site feedback you submit, which is absolutely crazy. Demanding that you relinquish all legal rights would be pretty demanding; demanding you relinquishing all moral rights sounds like a direct challenge to almost any ethical system.

Those are the big ones.

Moral rights is a legal term relating to copyright. Moral rights - Wikipedia
 
Wonder how Jirens doing.

Since he resolved to train after the entire multiverse tournament (been about 350 years since then). And by the end of that was absurdly strong, significantly more so than Beerus.

Mind you he may not particularly care about up and saving the exiles, though I do think if he heard about the enemy he would go fight him.

And
given that Freiza did something to the enemy to make him disabled for a century, I'm sure Jiren could pull something, maybe even kill the enemy.

That or have him train us. Thatd be useful.

Jiren's in another universe probably chillaxing in their other world bruh, it has been a very long time after all.

Question what does RP stand for anyways like the actual acronym? I have a good idea on what to avoid now but my unimaginative head still can't put the pieces together.

I've never played Xenoverse so I can at least reassure you that I wouldn't have any idea about what's going on there.

There is/was a Dragonball RP, now largely defunct as far as I can tell, that is set in the same iteration of the Dragonball multiverse that this quest takes place in. Poptart, among others, are/were participants.

During the course of this RP, some information has come to light that would very definitely be spoilers for this quest.

Roleplay. Typically refers to freeform or mostly-freeform forum RPGs, as opposed to TRPG (for traditionally face-to-face games, popularized in the modern era by Dungeons and Dragons), or CRPG, which refers to the computer and video game megagenre (the distant descendant of Dungeons and Dragons). Sort of the text-equivalent of a LARP, both in general structure and in how it relates to the larger hobby.

That was my first guess but I dismissed it on the premises that that's to obvious, and that it had to be something. I thought it was something like Dragon Ball Reality Patrol or something since it mentioned Xenoverse and that games basically a game about time shenanigans, did not expect it to be actual RolePlay. Lmao, how wrong I was.
 
Huh, question. Could the Dragon Balls do an Auto-Revive thing? You know, in some games (FF7 Crisis Core, FF Type Zero) you use it on a character and they automatically revive after a KO blow. I mean, if they can outright bring people back to life, this shouldn't be that different, right? Though a Hyperbolic Time Chamber or Buu-style regeneration to reduce the odds of getting killed would probably be better. I mean, that wall of wrongness in the vision of The Enemy probably couldn't be circumvented in this manner, but still.

Not sure why I was under the impression that one of the most stressful periods in my life would be the thing to make me productive again, but I suppose it just goes to show that things aren't always intuitive, are they? :rofl: I'm hopeful that I'll have better success getting my time managed again now, though.

Somehow I'm disappointed that Plan Deathbybunnies doesn't involve high stakes training with relatives of the rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Or maybe taming the things for use as rapidly reproducing shock troops.

Don't worry, it'll just be a really poor omen for when the Enemy is finally revealed as Monster Carrot, that fiend who was banished to the moon, and I write a plan to fight him.
