...The poison gas was created from a jutsu, though. Did Usamatsu's Glorious Life-Saving Purifier filter a chakra construct how the fuck aieeeeeeeeeeee
From the discussion looks like the poison gas aren't a chakra construct.

However this does bring to mind interesting possibilities of advancing Chemistry via Chakra.

Just need to make sure not poison/explode ourselves with cyanide, uranium, etc.

I just had an intriguing thought that we could pitch to Keiko as a possible way to help with the Frozen Skein's side effects.

What if she pitied it?

Seriously, it's a pitiable, broken thing. Incapable of wanting, of acting. It's pathetic compared to any human being.

If Keiko can see it that way, to hold it in contempt, it might just make ignoring its wretched bleatings easy.

No I want to go to the mission desk and drop 100k on til'n'fils. Then the next day we tell Nakano and Co. about the mission. We never actually told them we'd let them know in advance.

100K is a great investment for the state, and it will eventually pay off, but it doesn't give the clan any income personally. We could use the 100K to fuel the family business, or buy shares in civilian businesses, which will give us new income stream.

Once our finance is certain, then I am willing to consider state investments that don't benefit us personally.

This is about acquiring minions

That sounds like all the more reason to do it, to be honest. If we don't, no one else will.

@Noumero would you consider dropping some cash on Till n fills like we wanted to do pre BotG. Also Would give opportunity to get to know the mission desk and start bringing them along on becoming minions. Having the local bureaucracy on our side can only be beneficial
We have blackmail on unknown civilian authorities, it might be worth checking in on that.
Maybe change the sign to say: Any Ami Mori who gets inside unassisted to show off (judged by Mari) cedes us another favour (–_^)/~~
Implemented, implemented, implemented.
The searching part I recognize, but are we really preparing the morning after? It's not listed under the 'next morning' section...
Eh, it really feels like needless micromanagement. I'm sure Hazou can figure out on his own when he needs to stop the search for minions and go over his preparations for the Ino meeting. (If it's even necessary. I mean, we're meeting with our good friend Ino, not Ami or Hiashi or something.)
The plan's tight, though; maybe we could delete one of the smaller discussion topics (e.g., funding Tsunade, weaponizing EM, Akatsuki...)?
I find your lack of faith disturbing.

[x] Action Plan: Disheartening Lack of All-Consuming Horror
Wordcount: 299
Timeline: Immediately after Chapter 269.

  • Continue:
    • Regarding Ami:
      • Mari: Any insights into her mind?
        • Is she trustworthy? Can you manage her?
      • Should we spend her favour? Ideas:
        • "Maximize our political influence in Leaf."
        • "Maximize my social competence."
        • Acquire us IN social training.
    • We need manpower. Suggestions:
      • Adopt competent civilians: socially/financially adept people, teenagers suitable for politics/spycraft training...
      • Acquire operatives — civilian, from major clans, and clanless: people who'd run errands in exchange for favours/money/privileges.
        • Utilize Jiraiya's blackmail?
    • Should we continue working with the Kuronuma Group?
      • Sell them ice/salt.
      • Promise help against the Akasugi for assistance.
    • Leaf jounin:
      • How many remain? What are their political affiliations?
      • Can we adopt any clanless ones?
        • Like Kurenai — giving Asuma an excuse for political marriage.
    • Tsunade: Promise her funding before Hiashi?
      • Through Asuma, or by suggesting collaboration on land-clearing.
    • To whom will Dogs/Turtles go?
      • Should we reconsider adopting Lee, if Turtles are his?
    • Weaponizing EM: Hot air rises, cold air falls. Placing a cold effect above a hot one should create a tornado. Useful for land-clearing?
  • Prepare for and schedule meetings:
    • Tomorrow: Ino (lunch), Chouza (afternoon), Asuma (dinner).
    • Overmorrow: Shino, Minami, Keiko (topic: Summons), Team Nakano.
  • Contingency: Ami arrives at the compound (sanity-check with Mari).
    • Put a sign indoors:
      • "Any Ami Mori who sneaks through our defenses unassisted to show off (as judged by Mari) cedes us another favour (–_^)/~~".
    • Carefully introduce to Kagome.
    • Possible discussion topics (Clan + Ami):
      • Establishing communication with her in Mist.
      • Including her in our previously-discussed plots.
      • Akatsuki: They're an existential threat. Pool information, offer full collaboration against them.
        • Is diplomacy possible? Can we influence their idea of "pursuing peace the hard way"?
  • Train creatively.
  • Morning: Work on acquiring operatives with Noburi and Akane.
    • Fund till'n'fills. Consider turning mission-desk ninja (Ito Ino?) into operatives.

Oh yeah, so completely irrelevant side note: We have enough Pangolin XP to train Physique to 23, should probably make a note to do that at some point. It's not like it'll go into anything else :p
