Orochimaru just won't cooperate when he can effortlessly take. capturing family to ramson for dragon body parts is something he could and would do, and i doubt he would give them back the way he found them.

Not a huge fan of talking to Oro. How about we hand them off to Asuma and have him loop Oro in? We need to send some body parts to Conclave too. Asuma can do that since he has a line to Enma.
Without any of the context we have it would be absolutely reasonable to assume that the dragon bits came from some super scary chakra beast, but not necessarily an S rank world ender. It'd be seen as a threat, at least. "Hey look, I gibbed something that hurts to even look at!"
