Just wanna check to make sure: We are OK with telling Shikamaru and Asuma about using Noburi to shuttle chakra to fronts? Just wanted to make sure, since Jiraiya said this was a sort of ace-in-the-hole sort of thing which seems to me an implied clan secret.
Well since Keiko all ready knows about it it's not a huge stretch that Shikamaru knows about it. Also I'm starting to think we should just tell it to Asuma in exchange for more good will, help sitting up the farm on the 7th path and, maybe some other goodies

Some parts look alright but other parts could seem insulting (like implying there are Nara naysayers). I'm too lazy too only include the part I'm fine with.

[x] (Candoru) Yes, with the understanding that I have significantly more spare chakra than time. If you are willing to assign someone to train Candoru when I am busy, then they can train on the human path without having to hold back or limit themselves to the rules of a spare.
[x] (Candoru) Yes. Make clear that he will be the first Dog Clan member many people, and many distant summons will meet, and his behavior will shape those impressions.
People interested in hazou looking over all the public jutsu and seals offscreen? That way if one every becomes relevant he can use his agency. Ex: if chakradar seals exist he can realize he doesn't need to research em

As the Gōketsu Clan Head, Hazō is the only person on the planet who can freely and without consequence give away Gōketsu Clan secrets. It's sort of like how POTUS is free to give away any classified information -- he is the highest authority on what is and is not classified and can declassify things at will, so as soon as he says a piece of information it is implicitly declassified. (This as per an interview I watched with a former CIA chief.) Same idea, anyway.
Personally, I would use the original plan. I very much doubt that @Velorien would do otherwise, although I will let him answer for himself. If the situation arises, it would be nice if the second person could add a link to the plan so that we aren't digging around for it.

I'd be more interested in having the public jutsu be a narrative vehicle for the QMs passing their own creations to us, or perhaps as a way to impose approved, player-submitted jutsu/seals into MfD.
I wouldn't mind seeing a scene where Hazou reacts to it, though. It's a microcosm of Uplift in motion, decreasing Clan/Clanless divide.

This. With that said, such spoons as I have will be used up writing, so if there is room for confusion, it is possible that I will get confused. Any action on the players' part that would reduce the odds of this is a good idea.
@MMKII I'd appreciate a response - I'm trying to suggest things and be helpful, and you already posted in the thread and changed your plan regarding chakra transportation.

Ah, sorry. I mostly skimmed the thread very quickly, removed that one bit, and then went back to bed.
Mostly, because I don't really want to get into reasons why this would be appropriate or inappropriate for Ami to learn. This would necessitate going deeper into the specifics of what we're talking about than I'd prefer IMO. I don't want to do that besides advising Keiko to train Skills X and Y.

Keiko: "You had independently figured out what the Nara already knew. Don't worry, the Nara is already endeavoring to keep it secret, even from my own sister."
I was wondering why Orochimaru isn't more sociable. As amoral as he is, it seems reasonable that he'd put on a front of civility for the masses --if only out of an enlightened self-interest in order to get his way with the least amount of trouble possible. But then I realized something: Orochimaru is a genius. Shocking, I know, but think about the deeper implications of that. Most of us have one or two spheres of knowledge that we're rather well-versed in, and sometimes parsing that magnitude of familiarity down to a more manageable level for someone who's not as knowledgeable in that area can be frustrating. And that frustration can often tempt us to be less than our best selves.
Well, Orochimaru is a genius whose knowledge in most things could be high enough by EN standards to qualify as far more than merely "well-versed." Combine this with the fact that most denizens of the EN are uneducated, and you can see that Orochimaru likely faces some variation of this frustration any time he tries to talk to someone. So I think that it's not unreasonable to propose that it's this intellectual distance that initially made Orochimaru so amoral. For as long as he can remember, very few people have been able to understand him, and he, they; of those precious few, Hiruzen and Jiraiya are both dead and gone. Few people have anything interesting to say, and fewer still can understand what he'd have to say, so why bother?
This long-term intellectual solitude is further compounded by the sheer amount of hard power at his disposal. Orochimaru is so powerful that he stands above other ninja the way that they stand above civilians --and we all see how most ninja struggle to humanize civilians. And should Orochimaru be philosophical, there's even the fact that ninja who are powerful enough have a greater metaphysical weight to them; their chakra-aura reflects their personality/soul and influences those around them. So, though I disagree, I could see how one could make the argument that powerful ninja are "more real" than others.
Anyway, I could see how a lifetime of social frustration, intellectual solitude, and magical superiority could lead to Orochimaru never really seeing "the point" of other people, especially when he can just take. This is likely mitigated by his "true" social lifelines --who are few and far in between, and decreasing constantly. It's like the struggle of clan ninja to see the humanity of powerless civilians, just blown up significantly.
Of course, this is mere idle speculation and shouldn't be taken as fact. Not only do we know precious little about MfD-Orochimaru, but my musing relies upon canon to fill in the gaps. It's also worth mentioning that if Hazou draws Orochimaru's curiosity/interest right now, there's going to be a QM-fiat Game Over.
On to the main reason I posted: I just realized that I'm actually pretty comfortable in my new apartment. I don't think I consider it "home" quite yet, but I'm far more relaxed than I thought I would be, so soon after moving. That is due, in no small part, to you guys being so awesome and supporting. Thank you! ^.^
