That is what the first 1-2 weeks are there to test.

The luring in part does a few things:
  • Test how much the walls allow you to shape the movement of the monsters. I want to see if they prefer the doors and gaps in the wall.
  • See whether retreating into the walls make critters retreat.
  • Test what the walls do against determined critters.
  • Make it more plausible as a training exercise, and get the genin some actual combat.
The first few weeks will give us a better idea of the base rates and actual deterrence value. The last week gives us a better model of effectiveness and utility.

Is there really a need to make crappy walls when it's easier for us to just overengineer them?

      • We all have reason to hate Akatsuki, but if they're willing to work with Leaf for the sake of world peace, we'll just have to set that aside for the greater good. You know, like what Mist did.
    • How long do we think we have left before war breaks out, the way things are going?
  • Teaching KEI members:
    • Overarching goal: Look for overlooked (due to personality traits, Academy biases, etc.) promising students to adopt/apprentice.
    • Coordinate with Kagome on teaching Sealing Theory. Don't teach practical Sealing unless Kagome approves.
    • Have some remedial reading/writing classes set up.
    • Suggest Noburi teach Medicine.
    • Is Naruto a technique hacker; would he be willing to teach?
    • Apply for guest lectures at the Academy.

I'd be more comfortable if we reserved an FP to be used to reroll calligraphy if we roll low.
 
@faflec I think you can probably omit "LBF" and "Megalovania" seals in the research stuff.

I would be kosher with budgeting an additional 2 FP just on Calligraphy, as well(reroll non-positive rolls).

Who would you suggest, then? Kagome's already doing sealing, Hazou has questionable ability to teach this, and we don't know-know NPCs who are good at teaching this, save Ebisu who is unavailable for being too important for this shit.

Why is this a problem? We either delegate it or ask people where we could find teachers. We have a backyard full of minions who could do this for us.
 
If we are looking for clandestine ways to talk to the Nara we could just have Keiko pass messages between us.

If you think delegation is a good idea then I'll do that. I just wanted to be sure because I felt as though I was missing an obvious teacher for this sort of thing.

Honestly I dislike going to people outside of the Goketsu clan for questions like this, and especially organizing big meetings for our benefit. It comes across kind of crass, to me.

I...don't see how the QMs would expect us to be doing 1 clan meeting and then teaching constantly (and doing nothing else beyond things-we-need-to-do-to-survive stuff) until our seals are done, but sure, I'll emphasize that it should last around a week.

  • Reconnect with the Pangolins. Ask Keiko to summon Pandaa. After a board game ask what's been happening on Seventh Path, especially:
    • any more nations at war with Pangolins?
    • are the pangolins at a defensive or offensive war stance?
    • how is the integration of the prisoners of war?
    • what are the war casualty estimates?
    • what does the common Pangolin want in life? breeding licenses have been mentioned? are gems and gold not as important in 7th path
    • what are the strategic goals of the government?
