We need to know if the clans would even contemplate a child Hokage. I firmly believe that Jiraiya believed Naruto would make a great Hokage some day, not right now. If I'm right I'd like it confirmed so we can focus on other candidates, no matter how much people in the thread might want a Hokage Naruto right now.

If Naruto is thoroughly broken, he probably shouldn't be the one who signs the Toad contract.

I don't feel great about inviting Kabuto into the clan. He might make a useful ally, but I don't want to spend a slot on him when we're likely to have Tsunade as a medical expert.

For adoption targets:
Lee might be...well, hurting badly right now. We should probably gauge the situation before making an adoption offer. He might need some time before making any big decisions. We also need to seriously weigh Keiko's preferences. If we do extend the offer, we could mention the stuff that Lee does that upsets Keiko and ask him to rein it in. He's well meaning, just oblivious. If the situation is clearly explained to him I believe he can do it.

I think Anko and Kurenai are interesting choices. We could use more adults in the clan for sure. I don't think we have a relationship with Kurenai though, unless I'm forgetting something?

Finally, we could ask Tsunade for suggestions and guidance. She has a social network we don't, and her word will be able to bring in people that we probably couldn't recruit on our own. Also, asking her for advice helps gets her invested in guiding the clan, which we want to encourage on the heels of Jiraiya's final request that she do just that.

Noburi and Keiko sat, silent and uncomfortable, as the two sealsmiths processed the loss of their senior.

"Go," Kagome-sensei said at last, pushing Hazō away. "Go get Mari. We'll need her." He swiped the tears from his eyes and offered Noburi and Keiko an utterly unconvincing 'Everything is fine' smile.

You don't need to include a bullet point for Keiko's objection. It will be dealt with.

Also, it's a bit unclear on what we can offer to Anko, Kureani, and other clanless jonin, so I would put it as long shot: clanless jonin: Anko, Kureani, etc.

As for clanless exam participants, we can just put it as Noburi's recommendations.

I would leave out Honoka for now. We can continue to sponsor her, but we need to adopt ninja who can fight. We can expand later three months down the road.

Might Gai is considered a political stinker. This might apply to Rock Lee as well.

Here's a list we should discuss in my view:

* Confirm shoo-in: Akane, Tenten
* Noburi's recommendation
* Maybe: Rock Lee
* Long shot: clanless jonin: Anko, Kureani, Kabuto, etc

Remember, we can always adopt more ninja later on when we aren't in a crisis.

Yeah, in my humble opinion, she's going to punch us in the face and kick out of her room.
We are a Chunin that she doesn't know, she's not going to vent with us without any input.
She's also going to get pissed by all this politeness, and her becoming Hokage means burning all the political capital she built as a medic-nin helping everyone.
We want to convince her?Sincerity and punch her where it matters
It needs to be something along the lines of :
"Do you want to be Hokage?(If No)--->Can Naruto be Hokage?(No)---->I am fully aware of what i'm asking(Because we are asking her), and how it would impact on your life and medic-nin job.
But if Hiashi is Hokage, Jiraiya dream is dead, Hiruzen dream is dead. Even if Leaf survive, and leaf could, Hiashi is not an idiot, you can kiss any cooperation and diplomacy between villages goodbye.

You can rise to the challenge like Jiraiya did, or not.

1)We need to completely sincere
2)We need to give are a reason to burn everything she built until know(Jiraiya and Hiruzen dream)
3)We need to make it clear we are doing with or without her, and put her in front of the fact that the Ex-Missing-nin chunin ninja from Mist that she could splatter with a flick of her wrist is more of a successor to Hiruzen and Jiraiya than she is.
4)We need to make sure Naruto and/or Asuma are not running/Incapable of winning.

Before of course we need to see what the Sarutobi clan wants to do.

We are Clan Head, but if we start behaving like a Clan Head always this clan is fucked.
We take the responsibility and call the shots in a pinch, as a leader, but we are still a family and a team.
So no overriding people left and right, unless their objection are along the lines "I don't like it".
If the objections are such, first try to talk, then to compromise, then to explain, and only last to order.

Shower thoughts:

Pain used Samsara of Heavenly Life while controlling Yahiko's body, and there was no indication anyone knew of the Six Paths of Pain technique. Depending on specifics of the technique, Nagato could still be alive, along with all of the Akatsuki, essentially having faked his death.

Isn't it convenient the jutsu gave him just enough time to say goodbye and give his orders before dying? What kind of technique has a cost of your own life, but respectfully lets you get in last words first?

She saw us once? Twice?Now , if she want to vent with us good, but i doubt she will just because we are here, this is what i mean.
 
Just what happened to the first 3 jinchurikii anyway? They were killed, but what about the bijuu?

IIRC Gaara died in canon from beast extraction but got revived through the One's Own Life Ressuruction technique. Might happen again here.

We should have an open and honest discussion with Tsunade, but do not ever try to manipulate her. Calling her a coward would be a particularly offensive and hamfistedly obvious example of manipulation. And untrue besides.

The best argument is to ask her whether she thinks Hokage Hiashi would be what's best for the village, and if she doesn't then ask what she's willing to do to prevent that.

Assuming she at least agrees to fulfill Jiraiya's request and take the clan under her wing, I'd like her opinion not just on the political situation and what moves we should make next, but also on potential adoptees. She might think of people we don't, or prevent us from making serious mistakes we don't foresee as mistakes.
