Explosives as they are (those that we are allowed access to anyway) are basically useless unless you are specced into Ranged Weapons, Trapmaking, or can tank blowing yourself up in melee.

Well, thats one way.
Should have had a Speech Plan component asking Kenji in excruciating detail which parts of him you could blow up without killing him
Nah, I figure we'll wing it. If Hazou can take it, I'm sure he can tooShould have had a Speech Plan component asking Kenji in excruciating detail which parts of him you could blow up without killing him

Aye. Specifically, what is Hazou going to pick when he and Keiko rock-paper-scissors to determine who wins the next match, as a way to snub Mist?Win or lose, we'll have something far more interesting to start planning about, I'm sure.
Hazou picks Explosion. Your move KeikoAye. Specifically, what is Hazou going to pick when he and Keiko rock-paper-scissors to determine who wins the next match, as a way to snub Mist?
KEIKO: I feel like I've been here before, have I been here before?
Depends how you mean 'remote', but for most definitions, no.
Is it a safe bet (from our perspective) that Jiraiya would have offered any easy neutral-ninjutsu methods thereof he knows?
KEIKO: I feel like I've been here before, have I been here before?
So what I'm getting from this, in my mind's eye, is that we all need to purchase Stunts to allow us to perform Combat Drifting while riding Pangolins.
You seem to be under the impression we intend to let her use explosive tags.If we get to fight Keiko, I think we should agree that Hazou is the only one who gets to overuse explosive tags. Keiko should only get like 10.
You seem to be under the impression we intend to let her use explosive tags.
Erm. That's not what I meant. Give her all of the explosives.J will if we don't. Although I don't really feel a need to be stingy here. It's not like we can't beat her when she's using tags.
I'm pretty sure blowing ourselves up makes for a pretty neat aesthetic. Doubt we have to worry about that one.My consideration is that overwhelming explosive power is Hazou's aesthetic. We want to have stylistic differences during our fight.
Plus this underscores how we are a sealmaster and she is a summoner. Better propaganda no matter who wins.
Oh.Wait a minute.
Don't we start in the same Zone?
Hazou's 33 Alertness > Keiko's 31 Alertness, so don't we just...win against her?
BOOM! (Not-)Squish.
From a simulationist perspective its probably a "In general, how on the ball are you?" type thing. So you'd want flat Alertness, I guess.BOOM! (Not-)Squish.

To be honest I'm not entirely sure why initiative doesn't involve a roll. It does weird things like this. Although I suppose not having to roll initiative is a good enough reason.
