Yeah I'm with Oneiros on this one. As long as J-man, Keiko, and Pankurashun are alright with it, I see no real issue with taking initaitive during the break.

Think about it this way: Jiraiya's clan heading the negoatiations to an as-yet-unknown village will only solidify his legitimacy as the kage of Leaf.

I will veto any attempt to travel there in person, because training.

Waiting until after the tournament would free us up to be involved personally and put the timeline in better stead with the requested year.

That said, if opening negotiations with a previously unknown village from a strong position ('They revere me as their messiah, actually') could in Jiraiya's opinion help him with domestic politics, maybe it'd be worth doing earlier, or getting started doing earlier. Maybe.

Refresh my memory; we did promise not to reveal their existence to the outside world, right? If we want to respect that promise, and we should, we'd probably really need to go in person (or at least Keiko would) to make the pitch about opening up relations with Leaf and get their permission to do so. Using pangolin messengers for something that important might not cut it.

Query: Do Summons have to remain within a certain distance of their Summoner? Just wanna be 100% sure.

We did IIRC.

No gunpowder or precision manufacturing yet, I'm afraid. You'd need both first, unless what you want is to make some sort of magical thing that produces a similar effect to a mortar or artillery piece. That might be doable somehow.

Edit: There are probably projectile jutsu that could be fired off in a high ballistic arc to get a lot of range if you needed to bombard a fortified position or something. Ninja are very mobile though, so it probably isn't going to be super useful as an anti-personnel weapon.

We have ways around both. 5sb a tube made of soft, easy to manipulate material. Then pop a prepped implosion seal inside of it. Air cannon.

A stone shaping Jutsu could be used to make the barrel instead.

The payload itself should be a coal dust macerator written in metal baked into a clay shell, designed to break on impact.

Does anyone know how to expand the "Users Who Are Viewing This Thread" section at the bottom? It only displays 9 people for me, the rest are "...and 5 more", and I want to see everyone. Partly for curiosity, but partly so I can know if the QM's are here.

Unless it displays the most recent thread viewer first, so whenever anyone starts up they'll be at the top of the list and everyone can see.

Though if the site worked that way, the QM's could just always be logged into the thread, thus never be the most recent, and thus always be in the 'X more' and no one would know. Sneaky QM's.

The 'and 5 more' refers to people who are logged in but elect to have their username hidden from the 'Users Who Are Viewing This Thread' thing.

I recommend refreshing obsessively, and making enough insightful/funny/relatable posts that you can keep tabs on thread activity through when people rate your posts.

...Not that I'd know anything about that. :whistle:

Unfortunately Ive already rolled and prepped a background for a Druid.

Plus side: Rolled an 18 on three (!!!) stats with the rest above 13. The rest of the party made similar bullshit stat rolls. The DM is already running scared.
Code:
var best_character = rollCharacter();
for (i = 0; i < 100000; i++) {
    character = rollCharacter();
    if (character.betterThan(best_character) { best_character = character }
}
print best_character;
player.enjoy( DM.tears() );

Yeah that's the point of sending Pankurashun to request they send an emissary to Leaf
Keiko will need to effectively go to the village herself. Remember that he can really only be out for a few hours; the QMs haven't considered the overland speed of an unladen pangolin, but it may or may not be as high as that of a ninja.

Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder, some thoughts on how to train:

Keiko could undergo a month of hell-training from the Pangolin, as well as leadership training from Pankurashun, along with a discussion on the competence of her previous planmaking (fairly high, actually).

Hazou could undergo a month of hell-training from Jiraiya/Mari, interspersed with sealing discussion and any quirks of his techniques/seals he got from J that he hasn't figured out yet.

Noburi can continue his genius-Wakahisa thing, and also get hell training from Jiraiya. He doesn't have anyone particularly suited to his fighting style to study with, though, unfortunately. Thoughts on that?

If Jiraiya is coming back with us everyone should just

[]Training from Hell from Jiraiya

What happened to SC training in the swamp of death? The swamp of death might be a good place to train even without SC. It lets us spam jutsu.

Interesting. I assumed that if Kei kept slamming chakra water she could keep them up indefinitely. Also It seemed to me pandemonium had an impressive speed when he was in snow. But ultimately Tea is mostly on the way home so can just do it then

More likely there was *insert social event pertaining to american holiday weekend here* that took up time, and or spoons low.
Yes, but our screaming sustains the QMs.

Oh, absolutely, and that should be the setting of our training, but dependent on exactly how Shadow Clones function it may be unnecessary for Kei to remain there.
