A month later, in the Pure Land:

Kagome: "Hazō?! What are you doing here?"

Hazō: "I gambled on a big group of not-entirely-sober teenagers all making intelligent choices at the same time. What about you?"

Kagome: [nods with perfect understanding] "I went into teaching."

@eaglejarl @Velorien @OliWhail Quick fact check, is the following true in Hazou's opinion:
  • There is a horde of mixed civilians and henged ninja powerwalking in his direction.
  • It is more than likely that the stampede will be enough to break the henges of the ninja.
  • As henges are broken, ninja will realize that risk, if they haven't already.
  • They will respond appropriately to that.
My assumption is that "appropriately" will be to split off for other entrances to the mansion, or around it, reducing the stampede-funnel and risk to both themselves and civilians. Does this seem likely, other questgoers?

I would allow you to spend FP to declare that there is some item of furniture (like whatever they have instead of deck chairs in 12th century Japan) somewhere within range. @eaglejarl, of course, might rule otherwise.
I'm fine with this.

Another thing that's confirmed in CfG is that the Hokage's civilian advisor is the Sage, by the way.
"No. With the change in the timeline...Isobe isn't the Hokage's secretary in this world, so the Sage obviously isn't hiding in him like we wrote.

Hazō: "I gambled on a big group of not-entirely-sober teenagers all making intelligent choices at the same time. What about you?"

Hm, do you think 'avoid running into the big traffic jam' requires an intelligent choice?

My mental model here is that the moment people in front of you start slowing down, and you're running away from an explosion, one naturally swerves to avoid the congestion. Stampedes happen when people are funneled into ever-greater density by the environment; everyone pushing toward an exit door, and walls preventing anyone from moving in a different direction.

That is very much not the case here, where everyone starts in an open area. I expect most people to intuitively run around the mansion without thinking.

Esp. if they can't see and therefore can't even target the door :p people will run in random directions but that's not a stampede, the density will never get high enough to hurt anyone except for some jostling.

1. Rather faster than 'powerwalking' but slower than 'all-out sprint', since they are moving through pea-soup fog.
2. Correct
3. Presumably
4. Presumably

I really wish I had some top down blueprints of what the area is supposed to look like. Even if its my-five-year-old-with-a-sharpie quality done in MS paint.

Oh, Hazō would realize this so I'll share it: It is extremely likely that every single henge in that crowd is going to end up popped in the next ~5-10 seconds, if they haven't already. -200 points for popping a henge * ~150 ninja means anyone who is considered responsible is looking at a (roughly) -30,000 point award for this event.

You know, if I were a Mist Wakahisa, I would take this opportunity to pop every henge right now.
FUUUUUU

Ok so events been table flipped successfully at least.

We must escape, ideally leaving zero evidence behind. Unfortunately I think that our cloud of alcoholic mist is going to cause like, all of the problems once they get in here.

We have two supplemental and one standard action to go off before the stampede. Is there any way we can unfuck this before we fuck off?

AHAHAHA whoever gets blamed for this is actually out of the tournament in one go.

We should have someone drain chakra and disqualify all the Wakahisa in one go.

Doesn't change our objective here, IMO. Top priority is to get out of the danger zone as discreetly as possible, and avoid blame.

PMYF and Hiding Like a Mole should work fine for that, I think.

So... would people have a chance to see us if we substitutioned away and then hiding like a mole'd out?

Hazou's plan right before the stampede started was to slip into the edge of the crowd as if he was there all along. If we can pull that off, then we might lose our henge but we'd be no more suspicious than any other ninja.

*sigh* Alrighty then time to die.

[Χ] Action Plan: Suicide Bomber Start.
This is not an Action Plan.
Hazou's going to activate an explosive tag and unseal a stupid box. He then maneuvers himself such that he is at the center of the crowd when the explosive tag/stupid box combination detonates. Creating a massive inferno that kills pretty much everyone in the area.

...I'm... not really inclined to trust Hazou's 24 Deceit in this case.
I too do not think he could bluff his way out.

It highly depends on the rough accuracy of the following picture:
Does this seem about right @eaglejarl @Velorien @OliWhail:

You will remove that immediately.
