Not if we don't use it on enemies.Burning log macerator use seems very risky. A small error in judgement on the part of either the person using the seal or the one trying to dodge the effect could easily lead to a death that we'd rightfully be held responsible for.
Can we add a part where we offer night light seals as payment for help in fighting Mist right now? They would have the same motivation to hinder other teams too, not just those from Leaf.
I'm assuming you mean Party Trick seals, not Night-Light seals. We don't have any active Night-Lights (no points) and can't make any (Hazou never bothered learning how to make them IIRC).Can we add a part where we offer night light seals as payment for help in fighting Mist right now? Payment upon completion of services rendered. Also it would be in their own self interest to weaken Mist while working with Leaf due to reducing home advantage and learning the combat skills of Leaf teams without directly fighting usWe can't really trust anyone who wants to trade with us to stick to any deal they make with us, so that's probably not a good idea.
Explosive seals by default have timers- I assume one with a longer timer isn't much harder to make than the default. Good point on the timing, though. How did they manage such a long delay on the seals, and how could they reasonably expect them to activate at just the right moment?
The team up would be in service for our escape as well as allow weaker teams to pass where they otherwise would fail. Leading to more favorable marches further into the test. On top of that we could use this opportunity to network.I'm assuming you mean Party Trick seals, not Night-Light seals. As for the suggestion itself...we'd have to send actual people (not our Water Clones, which we've been doing before this point) to do negotiations which increases the risk of an attack. Also, the plan I currently have is an escape-focused one, not a *beat-up-Mist*-focused one. I'm rather leery on the topic.
But that requires them to know about our escape and be at least peripherally aware of the details (to some extent). Again, I worry that the enemy ninja will be more motivated to screw us over than Mist, both because of our skill level relative to others (we have a Summoner, sealmaster, and a fuck ton of bloodlines in this group) AND because of political considerations (bloodline poaching). The team up would be in service for our escape as well as allow weaker teams to pass where they otherwise would fail. If they're hiding well enough that Neji can't see 'em then they're just SOLSo you use it on what you think is empty space, and end up killing ninja hidden in that very space. I still think it's too risky and am not going to vote for any plan that includes their use, unless it can demonstrate massive added value from doing so.
[x] Action Plan smash face
Our enemies want to commit suicide lets oblige them
- Make sure Kei and Shikaku approve everything
- If Kei and shikamaru approve summon more pangolins for assault
- Have Neji scout with Panache to find out how the ambush is laid out
- If out numbered by a greater than 5/2 ratio abandon attacking and try to escape while riding pangolins
- Throw fire log macerators and banshees to cover escape
- Use communication pangolin to coordinate
- Have Hazō make party seals for up to 2 hours
- Buff up and attack
- Make sure everyone has banshee slayers
- Equip TenTen with explosives
- If possible have whole team use tunnels to enact an ambush
- This avoids traps and has potential to suprise our enemies
- Use burning log macerators and banshees to full effect

[X] Action Plan: Last-Minute Escape
- Preparations:
- Hazou continues to make Party Trick seals for personal use/trade.
- Teams collectively decide now who gets how many seals.
- Every individual gets 33 seals.
- Of the remaining 9:
- Team Goketsu gets 3, since we're putting our 9 pre-Exam Party Tricks into the pool.
- All the other teams get 2 each.
Keiko summons Panashe. Panashe goes underground to scout the Ring of Death. As possible Neji and other high-Awareness/high-Stealth individuals join her.
- Location/clustering of enemies (Where are enemy teams densely packed? Where are they really spread out? Are some teams allied based on how close they are?).
- Alertness level (Are they able to spot Panashe/her squad?).
- Security/traps (Are they using non-standard seals, like Force Walls? Do they have traps set up? How well-hidden are they? How much would they slow us down given our plan?).
- Combat styles (Do they have characteristic signs of Taijutsu/Weapons? Do they appear to be ninjutsu users?).
- Other (Chakra levels? Have they taken any Consequences/injuries?).
The Escape:
- After 1.5-2.5 hours (exact time determined during discussion) we make our escape.
- Direction of our escape is determined from the results of our scouting. We want to go through the path of least resistance.
- Hazou (or Panashe/other allies, if they have an equivalent technique) uses Doton: Tunneling Excavation to make a tunnel under our Ring of Death, eliminating the need to slowly go through them.
- EVERYONE should have Tunneler's Friend seals up and ready in case of a collapsed/sealed tunnel.
- Neji should have his Byakugan active to check enemies/traps.
- The tunnel can be made during preparations if possible.
Notes on going aboveground
- We are running at 100%, using chakra as appropriate to boost Athletics.
- We use explosive seals to clear the path in front of us. Neji/high-Awareness individuals should direct specifics, as relevant.
- If/when we are chased engage only if necessary. Leave behind training explosives as shitty traps.

We could use one of these to get out, sending a bunch a kawarami up the royal road, henge'd into bandaged ninjas?Noburi smiled as he watched a water clone weave through one of the twelve intertwined and ridiculously complicated safe routes Shikamaru had plotted through the trap array.
God I hate the way you guys constantly use bullet points in these plans. Every time I try to quote individual sections to write a response, I have to fight with the damn formatting and waste tons of times trying to edit out bullet points.
If Hazou makes 12 more in the next hour, do you want to distribute them equally for another seal each?
Remember you have to have special senses to see from underground. High alertness alone won't cut it. Are you intending them to actually surface during this scouting, or are you only sending individuals who can sense through earth? It's not clear.
Again, I'm having a hard time picturing how this works. There is very little cover and relatively clear lines of sight. If our scouts surface, how are they supposed to avoid being spotted and attacked? If they don't surface, how are they supposed to get more than very limited information?
If a group senses them and comes after them with Hiding Like a Mole, what kind of disadvantage will they be under fighting down there?
We don't have any Tunneler's Friend seals. They aren't on our equipment load-out, and Hazou did not make them in favor of more party trick seals. Also not clear where we're going. Do we want to regroup somewhere that we can hide, and then sprint for the exit at the appropriate time?
We will run out of chakra very quickly at 100% constant boost. It sounds like you're assuming running straight for the exit, but you have us escaping an hour and a half before the deadline. Where are we running to?
- Clear LOS is only for our base, since we blew up everything that could constitute cover. Other teams may not have the explosive tags available to clear everything around, and may choose to hole up in a well-hidden/covered area. Which works to our advantage, and especially to Panashe's and Neji's.
By sheerest coincidence, the Leaf teams were split up far more widely than those from any other nation. Team Uplift was not just among the last sent into the swamp, they were the last. Hazō was certain that that was also sheerest coincidence. Really.
"You know there's going to be a swarm of ambushers between us and anything, right?" Noburi said calmly, surveying the swamp in front of them. It was about the worst possible terrain; wide open, long sightlines, but dotted with many small patches of brush-covered high ground that were more than large enough for a team to hide in without actually being in the water. About a mile away was a long run of tall grass that would hide them, but getting there was definitely going to be difficult. "Word's definitely out that you're a sealmaster, so people are going to want to take us out before we can set up. Plus, it's possible that some Mist nin might have a few things they wanted to discuss with us."
Ah. I was confused because it was consistently described as a swamp, not a marsh, and swamps have a pretty large amount of tall greenery that could be lit on fire. This seems to have been a big point of confusion in the thread, over and over. I keep seeing post after post acting like we're in a densely wooded forest. Take that discussion about setting the landscape on fire just a page or so back. I don't even think that's possible. A fire would quickly sputter out when it burned out its patch of vegetation and hit a big marsh area.
I can see where the concept might be alien to the likes of you, Wakahisa, but a ninja does need to have some skills other than cheating.
