Macerator 2.0 (just sawdust): 5
- Alternative fog aside from Misterators in case we fight Wakahisa, or just want a vision obscurrant that lasts longer (e.g. to use skywalkers).
She'd been important in the clan, Hazō had gathered by reading between the lines over the years. Perhaps back then, this fire had been going inside her all the time, whereas now it was only a spark that the right wind could temporarily fan. But when it was fanned, nothing could put it out. Hazō wasn't like that—he didn't take one look at a situation and decide how he wanted it to develop and promptly come up with a plan of action and… um.

"One other thing that might not be obvious: OPSEC covers our pre-Leaf experiences as well. The Liberator fiasco, Cold Stone Killers, Hidden Mountain—Sage's balls, definitely Hidden Mountain—you don't want to give Mist anything that can harm your reputation, and remember that the guys running Mist propaganda are hardcore. As my old counter-interrogation mentor used to say, 'If in doubt, leave it out'. And that goes for all of you.
"Great. That brings us smoothly to Noburi."
Noburi shrugged. "[...]I don't know how to make a Wakahisa [...]"
I take this as fairly strong evidence that medical madness can make civilians have the ability to use chakra, even if they can't generate it themselves, they could probably just be a Wakahisa.
Maybe you still need to have Wakahisa genes but also need body modifications to express whatever phenotype makes up their bloodline. If true, why isn't everyone in mist a Wakahisa already? Some kind of material requirement?

Snow goggles - WikipediaSo does anyone have other ideas for goggles? I mean, slatted ones would work for bright flashes, but less so for stuff like pepper spray.
What about a thin layer of cloth pressed tightly to the face so that you can mostly see through it, instead of/in addition to that? We can test how effective that is. ...hopefully with clones.Snow goggles - Wikipedia
I think this is as good as we're gonna get without raiding the Kurosawa Clan. They'll work against bright light (since that's their original purpose) and do better-than-nothing against pepper spray due to the thin slit.
Or paper. Maybe ice, if we have temperature-controlling seals available to us. AFAIK it doesn't function continuously but on short intervals....we should test to see if Usamatsu's Glorious Life-Saving Purifier works on pepper spray.
As in, does it eat the particles and keep it from getting in our eyes.
