Concern: if someone stumbles upon this post while reading the thread for the first time (either page-by-page, as some madmen do, or because they became interested specifically in the discussion following the chapter after which the quoted post was made), they would end up spoiled regarding Akane's current status. A distant concern, but still. Maybe you can put it under a spoiler, or un-cross Akane?
My assumption was that Naruto, who might have used more shadow clones than every other shadow clone user ever combined, already knew about the Resolve requirement, but I might be wrong here. It's possible that he just never noticed since he's been using shadow clones since forever.
We already asked him if he had any resolve boosts to use resolve more and he basically just shrugged and said he's built differently
Doesn't he get insane XP rates from them, though? Naruto is our age (maybe one year older?), and by the time we invented skywalkers he was already an S ranker.
I mean, he does seem like he grew pretty strong pretty quick (chuunin/low jonin strength at 17 is pretty impressive even without needing to buy CR) but maybe it was just from having amazing tutors his whole life
Seems like individually he isn't S rank, the fact that he can make so many clones is what pushes him into essie territory - even jonin/essies need to worry about huge action economy discrepancy
He may have a weird thing going on because iirc he is weak to genjutsu, which may indicate low Resolve, but it's a weird trick of the universe (or the fact that it's a game) that all the things which depend on Resolve help each other. Resisting Enma's presence, not dying of clone sickness, meditation? The assumption that "you just have to get used to more clones for longer and only that will help" is a more rational one IMO, and it's only Hazō's most overpowered ability, Lists Flowcharts and Character Sheets, which allows him to munchkin like that
Actually we were recently told jinchuuriki are immune to genjutsu and auras. The fact that Itachi can genjutsu him with Tsukiyomi is a notable deviation

I'd vote for this but I still think we should discuss the FOOM stuff with Mari.
We really need to pick up the "blasphemous" gaki research. Make seals or jutsu that let us absorb abilities. There are so many interesting things out there, and studying them would take too long...

Briefly: tell her what Noburi told us, ask her to speculate how much they've figured out about FOOM, and discuss some possible next steps for us (do we talk to Naruto about it? do we say nothing?).
We can download seals, just keep breaking the IN until we can download other cool stuff

Let's see if we can use it to break open jutsu creation as well, tbh. Shadow Clone is proof the standard mudras aren't 100% set in stone, so "perfect eidetic memory and perfect movement recreation" might help us create some cool shinies no one else can do (except maybe Sasuke. let's be friends with our cousin while we're at it)
It was mentioned already but I think there's a nonzero chance the IN can still do some of the other Sharingan features - since it can copy seals with the visible chakra passageways, it might be that if we could see chakra still, we could copy jutsu as well (do we know if the Sharingan can copy seals in this setting? If we ask anyone it kind of gives away that we can...) Now, to figure out how to see chakra with normal eyeballs 🤔
