Well, she didn't assume direct control of the clan, which is what I think Jiraiya referred to. It could have been even worse.

Honestly, for all we know, Naruto is barely functional and is not currently fit to lead anything at all, the clan or Leaf.

Akane is Team Uplift and should've been part of the clan all along tbh, and I'd have serious problems with Naruto if he wanted to veto Akane. Tenten, on the other hand, is only truly connected to the Goketsu through her romance with Keiko. This is a strong connection of course, but not one I'd pick a fight with Naruto over.

I would honestly pick a fight with Naruto over Tenten. Keiko needs Tenten, especially in the incredibly high-stress environment she's about to get thrust into as the Nara Head's wife.

Well, if Naruto wanted Keiko to cut contact with Tenten I'd be right there with you. But for matters of clan adoption, which isn't really necessary for their connection but is rather enabled by it, I don't think Keiko needs Tenten to be a Goketsu for them to share their connection.
 
One thing I wanted to add was a discussion on how to fix the whole "Keiko's joining the Nara so our Pangolin gold is FUBAR". I was thinking of having Noburi, as Toad Summoner, sell the Pangolins the seals instead, and Keiko could put down her payments ahead of schedule so we would have time for him to get ready. Is this worth writing down now? I'm not sure how much more I can cut down the plan, it's 298 words ATM.

There's really no reason to do that in this plan. No matter what, we definitely want to meet them and discuss stuff with them. And Know is competent. She will have actually relevant stuff to tell us the moment we see her. Countering with nothing of more substance than condolences reflects poorly on us.

Seeing how we have nothing detailed in this plan, probably want to meet Ino-Shika-Cho in the next plan or at least the next after that, and don't even expect that part to make it into the next update, all this gains us is negative xp.

We already overload our plans with scenes as is. Why not take everything step by step? We lose nothing. Especially right now where the Akane, Tenten and Kabuto stuff is more than enough to fill a whole chapter oeven if we get completely stonewalled by Naruto's nurses.

As the current plan says, I trust Keiko on that. More so than I trust you or me or anyone else, real or fictional. But I guess a delay doesn't cost us anything.

Keiko has Tenten. As much as she did before at least. All it changes is that she both can visit her while visiting us and will have to sometimes visit us while actually wanting to visit just her. Beyond that she is just providing her girlfriend with resources and political support.
 
Changes made to table actual Tenten adoption until we ask Naruto, and mentioning Katou specifically.

I am pretty sure that's will get multiple plans and chapters before Keiko's wedding. A minimum of four. Probably more.

@Inferno Vulpix With your copying most of @faflec's plan and @Evenstar providing an alternative that doesn't leave the adoption+clan head thing so completely in Naruto's hands I will have to retract my vote from your plan. In any case I will stick to approval voting for a Lore Update as well.

The reason I'm pushing to adopt Akane now is that she should have never not been adopted. She's part of our Team and our family and always will be, and the fact that she was kept out of our clan for so long is a complete mistake that should not stand any longer no matter what anyone says.

Tenten, on the other hand, is not part of the family yet and however strong her connection to Keiko is they don't need to be in the same clan to share it, and meanwhile Keiko is the only person Tenten has a connection to in the Goketsu. I'd love to have her in the clan and will definitely push for it even if Naruto's not sure, but it's much more reasonable to at least clear it with Naruto first.
 
I'd still be more comfortable if we took at least one update just getting to know Naruto before we take serious action relating to him? Like, the stuff I want to do if he is like "fight for my nakama, da-te-ba-yo!" is very different from if he is like min-Jiraiya, trained in all his arts and political savvy. The character changed a lot over the course of the cartoon, and we don't know where he is at right now.

We don't even know how adoption legally works right now. So all we do before meeting Naruto (barring Naruto not taking visits today) is promising people that we'll adopt them.

Don't usually vote, but I'm a little jittery about this one. More information would be useful.

As for the current plans: I don't really like the split-clan thing unless both clans are following Naruto's lead, as otherwise it feels like a way to skirt Jiraiya's last requests for the sake of personal agency. It makes sense for avoiding the loss of a clan seat, but I'd like to specify that the overall chain of leadership would be the same either way. Regarding the adoption stuff, I'm fine with it, but I'd rather not push it through before getting things stabilized where Naruto is concerned. Feels like a bad look if we show up and say "Jiraiya has bequeathed to you the leadership of the clan, also, we took the liberty of changing the clan's composition without you".
 
@faflec, minor suggestion: mention Katou by name when proposing inter-village adoptions (useful to us: high socials + we already worked together and know him; not too useful to Sky: essentially no combat capability). Or Doigama, or Red Team One in general.
 
Paranoid me is worried that Hazou won't discuss the plan with his clan before implementing it, especially regarding important topics like the Naruto conversation or talking to Chouza. Is paranoid me being stupidly paranoid xor properly paranoid?
