Hm we know where to get some I believe.
I like this idea a lot.In addition to asking Asuma for tools and lore, I think we should give him what we can. The decrypted bijuu notes, some Rocket Boots and Chakdar v.2, ect. Ask him to work with Enma on things that might be useful against the dragons for us to research. Weapons for bosses to wield and such.
We should definetly warn him about possible future nukes. For Whirlpool reasons (IE, I don't want Leaf to get whirlpool'd) I'd rather leave the specifics out. Probably want to minimize the number of people aware of super seals
If you mean the crystals we got from the cave in Honey, it's definitely plausible but comes with a few snags:
If you mean the crystals we got from the cave in Honey, it's definitely plausible but comes with a few snags:
If we can figure out how to grow more of it, that would make it a viable material for our goals. If we can earthshape it, even better. But until we know the answers to those questions, we don't know for sure that it's good enough.
- We don't actually know if we can earthshape them. If we can't, then we'll have to figure out some other way of getting them to the exacting standards required for sealing.
- We don't know how to get more. I mean, we can head back and try to harvest the rest, but there's only so much there, not nearly enough to fuel an entire discipline.
...we really need to find the time to run some tests on them, one of these days.
Also might get us a looksie on some of his seals. If we are OK with Snuncle getting 3d seals we could ask Asuma if he can also collaborate with Oro to find suitable chakra conductive material. Oro is probably the best person(?) to run tests on weird ninja science stuff and every experiment on inanimate objects means one less person getting sliced and diced in the Basement.
Probably best to ask Asuma how much he wants to empower Oro in the first place before we get too ahead of ourselves.
...I kinda want to see Oro and Hazou tag team the cave in Honey to gather materials. Is it a horrible idea bound to backfire spectacularly? Almost assuredly. Would it be a good chance to see Oro in actual combat so that we can judge how much farther we have to go in terms of our team's personal strength? Absolutely.
In regards to the whole Oro figuring out 3-D seals I think we should just troll him. Since we're only 2 ish weeks away from ES 50 once we make our first seal with it we can go and tell Oro that his notes were cute but they helped us crack it. We could show him a model of the great seal or he could just buy a working 3-D seal we have with us
[X] Action Plan: Responding to Asuma
Word count: 288
- The Dragonwar has 2 objectives: killing Dragons, and repairing the Great Seal. We think the most valuable low-hanging fruit is...is to involve AMITY. And the Akatsuki.
- Akatsuki alone contains 2 S-rank Summoners (Itachi, Kisame) and an S-rank sealmaster (Sasori).
- Several AMITY signatories also have Summoners, and have their own sealmasters (no comment on their skills).
- Hazou doesn't know if any of them will believe us, or if they'll make actual contributions instead of just taking advantage of us. He's not knowledgeable enough to know the cost-benefit analysis.
- But if there were a time for AMITY to be united in a goal, this would be it.
- NB: Tread carefully: Akatsuki is a sensitive topic. Hazou IC can elect to talk in the context of AMITY and not necessarily AMITY plus Akatsuki.
- Other things:
- The Great Seal is a puzzle we only have a few pieces of: we need more lore. Records of the sage's works are fragmentary and scattered, but clans have long memories, in the EN, the Seventh Path, and maybe also the Eastern Continent.
- The main obstacle to 3D Sealing is a lack of chakra-conductive stone. Have you heard of anything?
- Borrowing a dragon part from Orochimaru for a short time could let us demonstrate it at the Conclave.
- If he's showing up with Manda, he can display a part then.
- We should make plans for edge-case scenarios. If a dragon escapes the Crusade and flies off for an indeterminate amount of time, if a dragon somehow makes it to the EN early, it can't hurt to be prepared.
- Thank you for everything you're doing. You have patience for us despite our mistakes, and you took us seriously about the Dragons despite many other pressing matters.
Could he investigate Snake Uncle's no-sleep seal to see if its safe?
Additional research and seal crafting time is very valuable for stopping the dragons and fixing the Great Seal.
I..uhh. I think that is exactly the plan, iirc.there's no way we're opening that thing without the Hokage's approval anyway, right?
His word isn't really worth much to me after he Aura'd secrets out of Hazou, "tried" to pretend he didn't, and then immediately tried to Aura Shika when he pointed out the consequences of what he was trying to pull. He's a long-term enemy entity as far as I'm concerned.
This is such a bad take. First Oro promised that he would never hurt us to Tsunade. If he breaks that Tsunade will go and try to kill him. Second Oro has been pro social in all of our interactions. Time and time again he's shown that he likes us and is willing to pay for our help. Thirdly he literally gets nothing for killing us and looses out on all the cool stuff we would bring him in the future.
Very very against this. Need a foundation of mutual trust first. Have a conversation about how he pictures the future. Are he and Kabuto immortal? Does he share immortality with others? What is our relationship like in 5 years? 10? Do not give 3D seals to someone you are too scared of to ask for an apology for trashing your Arachnid Queen's house.
Learn 3D sealing before him. Once we know what it is we can decide how bad it would be for Orochimaru to have. Imagine a 3D seal vivisecting human subjects forever.
Ami: "Seriously Hazou, I'm literally right here."Mari: "Of all of the people you could POSSIBLY choose, you choose Orochimaru to play 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours' with"
Do you remember the chapter in which we visited Nagi? Hazo's bloodline freaked out like it did with the summoning scrolls and GS, even though the Nagi seal was already long gone. I believe it was Mari who gave a couple possibilities as to who took it, but using Leaf's resources we can hopefully find out a bit more. It's another example of 3D sealing, one not guarded by Dragons.I think the events pictured in the Battle of the Gods are known to the characters. So no need to invent reasons to be interested in Nagi. Are you asking Asuma to go after remnants of Pain's sealing array? It's not quite clear.
Unironically I will vote for people who include asking to see Asuma's scroll in their plan.
ASUMA: "Is... is that a euphemism? Hazou, I know Mari's had the conversation about age-appropriate crushes with you all."Unironically I will vote for people who include asking to see Asuma's scroll in their plan.
Vote for an interlude if you want more timeCan we freeze voting actually? That blank check is huge, and i really want to give a good answer
Yeah we need to keep having positive interactions with Orochimaru.
We didn't get more TYS from it...
[X] Tell Orochimaru our bloodline and ask for him to vivisect us conditional on us remaining combat-capable by the end of itWe didn't get more TYS from it...
So on one hand: it wasn't traumatic enough to mess Hazou-pilot up more than the poor boy already is.
On the other hand: His sealing stat didn't go up from the experience.
