Will do, once I get my hands on PC. Which hopefully will be tomorrow. Maybe. Probably. It better be.If you would compile all outstanding questions into the player knowledge doc for me, we'll get you the answers. I'll also work as many as possible into the update.
Threadmarks and story posts have been delayed before tho, and how many chapters are named after plans, really? All I got from the chapter name is that you were really unimpressed by the plan, which, apparently, isn't even wrong. There was a lot of foreshadowing in there, actually -- the title of the chapter was not the correct version of the plan name, no one chakra boosted, the multiple combatant rules weren't used, and Hazou didn't get his emergency reroll. Oh, and as @PrimalShadow pointed out, rolling 85 on 9d100 is insanely unlikely.
EDIT: Oh, and it was neither threadmarked nor posted in the Story-Only thread.
Situation presented was ridiculous. Might as well plan for a meteorite falling on our camp while we're at it.We need tactics for enclosed fighting.
This update was a joke, the next one might not be.
Well, you're a stronger person than I for retaining your sanity for so long. Will do, once I get my hands on PC. Which hopefully will be tomorrow. Maybe. Probably. It better be.
Hey guysI'm feeling so sad for Kagome waiting outside for his first friends in 15 years (in ever?) to come back to safety and slowly realizing that they aren't going to
Yes you could. 'Contingency: If the civvies somehow hear us sneak in, keep them from making noise as non-lethally as possible.' Or 'toss in some sleeping gas beforehand'.Well. I don't think we could have come up with a plan that accounted for that roll.
Oh yeah, I noticed the mass combat stuff was missing too. There was a lot of foreshadowing in there, actually -- the title of the chapter was not the correct version of the plan name, no one chakra boosted, the multiple combatant rules weren't used, and Hazou didn't get his emergency reroll. And then for Honami as he destroys the entire hotel in revenge. And Noburi who has to pick up the pieces, keep Kagome stabilized, and conquer the world.I'm feeling so sad for Kagome waiting outside for his first friends (in 15 years? in ever?) to come back to safety and slowly realizing that they aren't going to
Force Wall or Five Seal Barrier ceilings. Kagome's not going to leave the perimeter unsecured.Situation presented was ridiculous. Might as well plan for a meteorite falling on our camp while we're at it.
Well, yes, but when do we get time to spend it?Sure. +3 XP for all players. (Not the characters, the players.) Also, 1 Thousand Yard Stare point.
When we die and are reincarnated in MfD, obviously. Then we just need to use our knowledge of how the universe works, take over and become god, then break a wormhole into our universe to hunt down this S.O.B. and tickle him.
I for one am taking Adulting 6 this upcoming week (at half-cost for having Academics > 10, since they're both Responsibility-element techniques)
Don't be silly. Clearly the lesson here is that we should double, no, triple the amount of precaution in our plans. Scout everything, then scout everything again to be sure. Then dispell, and scout again. Constant fucking vigilance.
If sleeping civvies hear us sneak in, we should retire as ninja bc we clearly chose the wrong profession.you could. 'Contingency: If the civvies somehow hear us sneak in, keep them from...
That will save us from tiny ones, but not collateral damage from the big stuff. I suppose we should add "protection from death from above" to our to-do list now...Force Wall or Five Seal Barrier ceilings. Kagome's not going to leave the perimeter unsecured.
I think we should do
Let me rephrase that. "If 'sleeping civilians' somehow hear us, prevent them from raising the alarm further. Prefer nonlethal means."If sleeping civvies hear us sneak in, we should retire as ninja bc we clearly chose the wrong profession.
Adulting is a dump skill, I'm bumping Writing up to 7. Why would you want to be able to do dishes normally when you can do it with PASSION? Feel your youth flowing through those dishes as you CHAOS DUNK them into the sink!!! NGAAAAAAAAH!I for one am taking Adulting 6 this upcoming week (at half-cost for having Academics > 10, since they're both Responsibility-element techniques)
We COULD do that with sealing. THe only real problem is how to make a seal function after death. And, I mean, the sealing 40 that it'd require to save the entire universe-state.I think we should do
[j] Research: Saving Game
[j]Save Game
ASAP.
Let me rephrase that. "If 'sleeping civilians' somehow hear us, prevent them from raising the alarm further. Prefer nonlethal means."
I'm sorry, but I'm afraid this is a sticking point to me. I hope we can still be friends despite this disagreement. If sleeping civvies hear us sneak in, we should retire as ninja bc we clearly chose the wrong profession.
Finally found this. It means Keiko should figure out how to keep herself motivated while In Winter's Grasp, with the end goal of being able to use it in combat. Might be good to go from both directions, actually: figuring out how she's motivated in combat versus how she motivates herself while drawing on the Skien.
I was actually saying that we should be suspicious of 'sleeping civilians' who detect us.I'm sorry, but I'm afraid this is a sticking point to me. I hope we can still be friends despite this disagreement.
/is mostly joking.
*chuckles*Don't be silly. Clearly the lesson here is that we should double, no, triple the amount of precaution in our plans. Scout everything, then scout everything again to be sure. Then dispell, and scout again. Constant fucking vigilance.

You could give us another plot hook by having Mari eavesdrop on a conversationFair points about threadmark and Story-Only. Still, base rate says that if those things don't happen then something is odd. As to the plan: it was perfectly reasonable, just not exciting to write for. I'm trying to figure out something to add to the update so that it will have more content than an infodump would give you, but I'm coming up a little empty. Suggestions welcome.
Cool, but doesn't the XP-Development exchange rate trip you up?I for one am taking Adulting 6 this upcoming week (at half-cost for having Academics > 10, since they're both Responsibility-element techniques)
Research? Hazou didn't suggest much during Inoue's recovery period, but Noburi and Keiko might have showed some initiative anyway.Fair points about threadmark and Story-Only. I think I'd rather see her try to learn more about the Frozen Skein in general before doing specific experiments. Finally found this. I wouldn't mind Pangolin adventures with Keiko if she has time at some point, or had free time recently to retroactively do so.Fair points about threadmark and Story-Only. His memories? Unless we get a memory bleed as a result of seal failure, I suppose....You know. I don't think we've ever had a section from Kagome's perspective, have we? Not that I can think of anything that'd require his perspective, but...
*chuckles*
You're going to take precautions against bad die rolls? Your plans aren't good enough.
You're going to take precautions against everything else? Your plans still aren't good enough.
Even if you gather your minds, and take precautions against unfortunate events like a meteor strike or a supervolcano eruption, the GMs' abilities are far beyond your plans.
Well, I'm just considering the hilarity (and, uh, frankly, the sadness) that his perspective could offer to something like setting up base, or... awaiting the team's return. His memories? Unless we get a memory bleed as a result of seal failure, I suppose.
I'm honestly fine with a list of bullet points. Anything more exciting than that is a bonus. One might even argue that we got our daily dose of excitement already.I'm trying to figure out something to add to the update so that it will have more content than an infodump would give you, but I'm coming up a little empty. Meanwhile, at the base camp...You know. I don't think we've ever had a section from Kagome's perspective, have we? Not that I can think of anything that'd require his perspective, but...
