The plan calls for keeping a Shadow Clone near one for the entire duration, so yes, it would be hours of exposure. Alternatively Hazou clone could just stare at it for a short while and pop
Just chiming in, the only danger below visible light on the EM spectrum is microwave heating. Even when microwaves are absorbed by water, you can generally feel your skin warming and just run away before it's harmful. Although there are a few frequencies where this isn't as much the case.

Hazou wouldn't even know to ask the question - "Cannai, can dogs see colors humans can't see?" Without an understanding of the color spectrum and how it interacts with light why would anyone think there are other colors?
An analogy to doggos having better smells and analogy to the Hyuuga being able to see things other can't.

Are we worried about this? Our "one experiment" derailed an entire day of instruction.
He likes us and he's progressing nicely, but we might need to be conscious about mixing experimentation and education in the future. It would be Bad if he wound up upset with us not least because no one wants us to have to spend an update smoothing yet another relationship, even the relationship nerds.
I worked on this and got it down to 299 words. Since it's a plan for the next 6 days it's important that it's below the brevity XP threshold.
Does anyone know the differences between HOWS and Jiraiya's Awesome Daybright Lantern? Longer duration? If HOWS use up more ambient chakra it might make more sense to use JADLs for the template seal for the Light Relay.
EDIT: Got it, from the Known Seals Page "A variation of Jiraiya's Awesome Daybright Lantern Seal with duration measured in weeks and about a third the brightness." Makes sense to use the HOWS, we can always jack up the brightness if we need to for the relay

I have a few questions about the Great Seal. To place them in context (for readers or the QMs) I'll be clear that my ultimate goal is to determine the feasibility of Hazo getting a chunk of Great Seal stone and bringing it back to the Human Path.
The Great Seal is made of stone and sits on a hill/butte/synonym for 'elevated region'. Hazo has tunneled under the Great Seal and in fact tunneled through it in at least some minimal capacity: I don't have a quote to hand but I remember Hazo making a little hole in the seal through which he could place HOWS.
Q1: is there a clear/distinct border between 'normal' ground and Great Seal stone, or is it a 'natural' transition? (The intention of this question is to divine whether the author of the seal used naturally-occurring stone (which may have then been modified) or created/deposited a bunch of specific stone.
Q2: if we have tunneled through the Great Seal, did we notice any strangeness in the tunneling, and was that strangeness more or less apparent closer to/further away from the seal? (The intention with this question is to determine if there is stone which has no or minimal chakra flowing through it, in the same way that I (imagine!) that you could clip the blank, uninked corner off of a storage seal without compromising the seal.)
Q3: how large were our tunnels with respect to the overall dimensions of the seal? (The intention is to establish upper bounds on the amount of stone we can remove from the Seal without causing immediate catastrophic failure.)
Q4: does Hazo have any intuition whatsoever as to whether or not it would be possible or safe to carve off some of the Great Seal stone? Does he have any intuition or feeling as to whether it has eroded or suffered environmental damage - are there chips or missing pieces, or are there just cracks? (If it's withstood erosion and bits falling off then I think that the odds are low that our removing an equivalent volume with hand tools would result in a cascading disaster.)
My guesses are that the Seal is composed of distinct rock and we've never interacted with it (maybe the holes were in the stone which surrounds the seal) and that it's cracked but not chipped, but if we have shaped the Great Seal and the world didn't end then I think that opens the door to taking a very, very small piece of it extracted from an area we anticipate contributes minimally to its function back home to experiment with.
(This would also be incredibly risky, allowing us to uncap a few different skills and bringing EJ great joy.)

Would it be possible to add a section to ARS being activated through chakra adhesion? We've made at least two varieties of seals with that activation method (Skywalkers, Rocket Boots), and stacking ARS with our Rocket Boot seals would allow us to activate any number of seals without any actions.
For example, let us say Hazo has a set of Rocket Boots slotted into his shoe inserts. He could also stack ARS seals A1, B1, and C1 on his right foot, and D1, E1 and F1 on his left foot. A2 could be connected to a strobe seal on his chest, B2 to a pepper macerator on his stomach, C2 to a purifier seal on his mask, D2 to banshee slayers on the back of his forehead protector, E1 to earbusters on his forearm, F1 to a chakdar on his other forearm. Basically, a whole lot of seals, which would all simultaneously activate with a single use of chakra adhesion.
Emphasis mine. MARS is potentially a long way away, considering how many research projects we have on the go and on the backburner. A small modification to this one project would go ahead and let us break action economy in the way we've been wanting to for years.
