Sorry, I was unclear. This should be an actual vote. I've put the [x] into the update so that it's clearer.(Candoru) Yes. Respectfully tell Candoru that you look forward to working with him

imo the trick here is making Candoru face multiple enemies at once. He might be fine against one chakra beast, but we can go into the mines and send ten his way at once. If he handles that just fine, then twenty.(also note that I doubt Candoru will lose to chakra beasts though, so taking him means we're committing to going on a relatively dangerous mission).
I know! Dealing with reasonable people just feels like cheating.Cannai is so reasonable. Hazou just has to be polite and we get politeness back! This is unprecedented!
Mine stuff seems reasonable but we should file a notice with the tower just in case we get overwhelmed and cause a chakra beast incursion that requires broader response.Cannai is so reasonable. Hazou just has to be polite and we get politeness back! This is unprecedented!

We don't need to beat him up until he actually acts up, but we shouldn't be unwilling to fight when he inevitably does. Until then, we can merely schedule a pleasant excursion into our mine where we agitate waves of chakra beasts and send them his way until he gets overwhelmed, and then rinse and repeat until the mine is cleared.
Overall this is a very happy update.
I would have given Neji the salt, to be honest.

faflec.response
It's off by 20, but I suppose the Halo effect was so strong no one else mentioned it @eaglejarl
Excellent, the Hyuga also want to not be enemies. Or at least Hinata does.Lady Hinata said I had to meet with you in order to 'maintain and improve clan relations' because apparently that's a thing that we care about now."
Fixed, thanks.
For clarity: The goal of the vote is to determine how you react in that moment, not to set a general policy. Are you trying to say "Yes. Be respectful but kick him in the teeth if he is anything less than completely respectful in response"?[x] (Candoru) Yes. Be respectful but don't be afraid to use discipline if needed.
Ah, I see. Let me rephrase myself:For clarity: The goal of the vote is to determine how you react in that moment, not to set a general policy. Are you trying to say "Yes. Be respectful but kick him in the teeth if he is anything less than completely respectful in response"?
The primary mark against him is that he speaks his mind too freely;
Take him into combat as much as possible over the next few months.
Hm...how did Kakashi put it? Ah, yes. You will have every authority to 'kick the little bastard around the training field a few times' if you feel the need."
Was he grumbling or screaming?"
"Grumbling, sir."
"He's pleased with their progress."
Clarified, thanks. Yes, it applies to both.@eaglejarl @Velorien @OliWhail Does the "prep work" bonus when doing sealing research apply to the Calligraphy roll in addition to the Sealing roll? Rulesdoc isn't clear.
Kei had practised this part. Repeatedly. At Noburi. His feedback had been flippant but ultimately useful.
"Through sophisticated sealcrafting research," she said in her most assertive voice, "we have been able to create towers that do not require structural support, can be built at any height given sufficient time, and are virtually impossible to move or damage with material force. I will now demonstrate how quickly such a tower can be constructed, and how effective it is subsequently."
She reached for the first storage scroll.
